This is an excellent neighborhood spot. The staff are really welcoming. They have delicious food with excellent portions. They have great kids options and kids even eat free on Mondays. Their vegetarian options are really good. The veggie tacos, quesadillas, and burritos are all tasty. The guac and chips are solid and so are the pupusas. Their margaritas are tasty and pretty strong, but in my opinion a bit pricey. I still order them.

My husband and I live close by and decided to stop by for an early dinner on Mother's Day. We were seated outside and really enjoyed the meal. We preferred the beef enchiladas, the half chicken and a pupusa. The chicken and plantains were my favorite and there was food left to take home. It was also nice to see they offer $5 bottle beer in this economy! Our server was good and gave me a rose for Mother's Day which was sweet. Not a big deal but they have metal chairs outside that, if you wear short shorts, press into your legs.

Blacked fish tacos, chick fajitas, chicken & cheese quesadillas...whoops, we already started eating!

Holy moly! This food was AMAZING! I am surprised there aren't more reviews. Chicken quesadillas were HUGE and soooo yummy (just chicken and cheese per our 9yo). Chicken fajitas were so unique and delicious. I plan to come back to get the Peruvian chicken (got a tip from our waitress to come early for that as they usually sell out). Service was amazing! Our waitress was so friendly, attentive, and kind!! We sat outside with on a nice October evening, and it was so cute. We will be back before our 5-day trip has ended!

The chips and queso are amazing, the the margarita I'm having is delicious! The service has been amazing...they are very friendly and easy to talk to. I love the atmosphere as it looks very authentic.

If you're looking for a warm, welcoming spot to enjoy a solid Mexican meal, Mary's is a must-try. The restaurant is doing its best to keep the lights on, and it shows in the heartfelt service and the consistently fresh, flavorful food. From the moment you walk in, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the owner, Mary, always greets you with a smile, making you feel like part of the family. For my meal, I opted for the shrimp enchiladas, always delicious. The shrimp were large, juicy, and perfectly cooked, complementing the rich, flavorful sauce. My husband had the shrimp quesadilla, and he was equally impressed. The quesadilla had a nice balance of crispy exterior and gooey cheese, with a generous portion of shrimp and veggies inside. The menu is family-friendly, with options for all tastes, and everything is made fresh. They also do takeout well too. Mary's might not have the flash of larger establishments, but it has HEART--and that's something you can't beat. If you're in the area and craving good Mexican food, this little spot is definitely worth supporting.

Had el torogoz on my list so went for lunch today. It's now Mary's bar and grill. Small, bright, clean. Service was fast and polite. Only a table occupied when I arrived. Three tables when I left. Ordered frito mixto and chicken nachos. Enjoyed churros and ice cream for desert. Small neighborhood joint. Will return!

Highlights here were the drinks and the friendly service. The restaurant is quite small inside, with a few big TVs. It wasn't rowdy or too crowded like most bars on a Friday, making it a nice place to chat and relax. . The food here is not too bad for a quick stop. The pupusas were very cheesy and had a nice crisp, I enjoyed the salsa, but the cheese dip we had was a bit congealed. The margaritas were a great deal for the price! Let me tell you -- they were VERY strong. So strong I thought I might've accidentally ordered a double! It made them a really good deal, and not too sweet to drink. I will definitely come back here for a quick drink, and some of the nice spicy salsa.

Lomo Saltado - eaten at lunch

My first time in. I got the Lomo Saltado for lunch and it was very delicious! Steak was tender and well seasoned, and the green sauce has some serious spice! Mary served me and was quiet but friendly and welcoming. I will certainly be back!

Although the space is on the smaller side, there was plenty of bar seating, an ample number of booths and the drink prices were a good deal. If I lived a little closer, I could see myself dropping by much more frequently. T he only downside that felt apparent to everyone I came here with, was the strong smell of fried fish. I personally wasn't too phased, assuming it as part of their menu. But the longer we settled in we realized it was coming in from an adjacent business which is incredible hard to control. With that being said, we smelled like fried fish when we got into my friends car and the smell followed us everywhere for the rest of the night. Like I said, I understand that's a hard thing to control but it may be something to be mindful of if you've got anywhere you need to go after. Overall though, totally in love with the laid back vibes here and would definitely return.

Dinner at San Matteo, yes please and thank you!…read more Good food and service was memorable adding San Matteo to the list of favorites. The front patio is cute and a nice spot to sit on a nice day. We entered the restaurant, pasted the bar and made our way to the back. We were pleasantly surprised with a nice outdoor feeling to dine at. We were immediately greeted by our waiter, given water and warm bread with olive oil. To kick off our meal everyone had different ideas of what they were craving so we went with three starters. PROSCIUTTO E MOZZARELLA for one. It that had the usual meat and cheese board with nuts, mini bread crackers and jam. I liked how pistachio pieces were found in the meats and cheese. [5/5] BEEF CARPACCIO which is a family favorite of ours was a must try. The tender slices of beef with arugula, with sliced capers and celery. It reminded us of our trips to Italy. [5/5] FRITTO MISTO came next. This mixed lite battered bowl of seafood goodness with a little spice delight. It had calamari, fish, shrimp, garlic, zucchini and chilies. I really liked how the batter was lite which says a lot because I love really crispy anything. [ 5/5] On to the main courses, we proceeded with different pasta noodle dishes. BUCATINI BOLOGNESE one of my favorite pasta noodles was my selection. The noodles were al dente and the sauce and meat were excellent. [5/5] PAPPARDELLE CINGHIALE was my husband's pick. The pappardelle noodles were al dente and nicely accompanied the meat with the tasty sauce. Topped with ricotta; the dish was full of flavor. [5/5] CHICKEN ALFREDO was the last pick. Not an authentic Italian dish; however, hats off to the chef for making this for our picky eater in the family. The sauce was creamy and delicious. Noodles were cooked perfectly. [5/5] Surprisingly we had just enough room for a sweet ending - an Affogato. Whoaza! The espresso was yummy; put some hair on our picky eater's chest. It had a hint of licorice flavor that was unique. Let's not forget the San Matteo Spritz. Smoky and highly enjoyable. I loved it and will order again when I return. Overall, San Matteo hit all the check boxes for our lovely family dinner. The staff were attentive and never left us wanting more water, food or waiting long. The food was tasty. It seems upscale with a casual feel. Some people were dressed for date night while others were having a casual meal with family or friends. The seating options of areas were all unique in its own way. Front patio for a nice day, from the front indoor dining area for maybe a more intimate feel, bar and table top area for a drink and appetizer going solo or with a friend; and lastly the back dining area for a a bigger group to enjoy your meal. Mixing up the dining options that suits you. I'll be back to try other dishes.

My friends ordered the garlic Parmesan wings, bbq wings, old bay fries and salmon sliders and I didn't hear one bad review. All of the staff was friendly (ask for Bre she'll take care of you). Both DJs were a vibe and definitely had me and friends there way longer than we anticipated. The only reason I took away a star is because the air conditioner didn't seem to be working. They did have huge fans in there to try and cool it down but they didn't seem to work. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by Entitlement Lounge. You won't be disappointed!

Delightful speakeasy with remarkably cozy vibes, super friendly service, and delicious cocktails…read more This small, no-reservations-allowed space is hard to snag a spot in (unless you're willing to wait in their multi-hour-long waitlist), but it's 100% worth the hype and effort. I'd recommend trying to come a bit earlier in the night or on a slightly off day -- we came by around 8 PM on a Thursday -- and you might be able to slip in with no or minimal wait. We were initially placed at a standing table, then relocated to a proper table when one opened up after about 30 minutes. It is a smidge loud, but still manageable, and I love the cozy, homey atmosphere created by the dim lighting, almost industrial architecture mixed with old fashioned bookshelves (which double as bathroom doors), and candles. They have a short menu of custom cocktails you can choose from, or you can also ask for any of the classics and/or tell the bartender what you typically enjoy and let them come up with a good fit. We tried a smattering of cocktails, including two from their menu, a whiskey sour, and a bee sting (which the bartender selected for us based on our general preferences). Each one was expertly crafted and extremely tasty, and made so much better by the ambiance.

I ordered three chicken and cheese pupusas, and they were a great size. I was nearly full after the first two. The flavor was on point. My apologies for my photo because I was already halfway through my third pupusa before I remembered to snap a picture. I also tried the corn tamale, which my wife and I enjoyed a lot. On top of that, I ordered a steak taco, which unfortunately didn't make it into a picture either because I ate it too fast. What stood out to me was the "shell." Instead of the usual flour or corn tortilla, it uses the same masa dough as the pupusa, and I really enjoyed that difference. We finished our meal with the nuegados en miel dulce, something I had never tried before. I was glad I did because it was delicious and a great way to end the meal. Overall, the food and experience were excellent. If you are like me and rely on Yelp reviews to decide where to eat, I highly recommend giving La Casita Pupuseria & Market a visit.
