This is an excellent neighborhood spot. The staff are really welcoming. They have delicious food with excellent portions. They have great kids options and kids even eat free on Mondays. Their vegetarian options are really good. The veggie tacos, quesadillas, and burritos are all tasty. The guac and chips are solid and so are the pupusas. Their margaritas are tasty and pretty strong, but in my opinion a bit pricey. I still order them.

My husband and I live close by and decided to stop by for an early dinner on Mother's Day. We were seated outside and really enjoyed the meal. We preferred the beef enchiladas, the half chicken and a pupusa. The chicken and plantains were my favorite and there was food left to take home. It was also nice to see they offer $5 bottle beer in this economy! Our server was good and gave me a rose for Mother's Day which was sweet. Not a big deal but they have metal chairs outside that, if you wear short shorts, press into your legs.

Blacked fish tacos, chick fajitas, chicken & cheese quesadillas...whoops, we already started eating!

Holy moly! This food was AMAZING! I am surprised there aren't more reviews. Chicken quesadillas were HUGE and soooo yummy (just chicken and cheese per our 9yo). Chicken fajitas were so unique and delicious. I plan to come back to get the Peruvian chicken (got a tip from our waitress to come early for that as they usually sell out). Service was amazing! Our waitress was so friendly, attentive, and kind!! We sat outside with on a nice October evening, and it was so cute. We will be back before our 5-day trip has ended!

If you're looking for a warm, welcoming spot to enjoy a solid Mexican meal, Mary's is a must-try. The restaurant is doing its best to keep the lights on, and it shows in the heartfelt service and the consistently fresh, flavorful food. From the moment you walk in, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the owner, Mary, always greets you with a smile, making you feel like part of the family. For my meal, I opted for the shrimp enchiladas, always delicious. The shrimp were large, juicy, and perfectly cooked, complementing the rich, flavorful sauce. My husband had the shrimp quesadilla, and he was equally impressed. The quesadilla had a nice balance of crispy exterior and gooey cheese, with a generous portion of shrimp and veggies inside. The menu is family-friendly, with options for all tastes, and everything is made fresh. They also do takeout well too. Mary's might not have the flash of larger establishments, but it has HEART--and that's something you can't beat. If you're in the area and craving good Mexican food, this little spot is definitely worth supporting.

Had el torogoz on my list so went for lunch today. It's now Mary's bar and grill. Small, bright, clean. Service was fast and polite. Only a table occupied when I arrived. Three tables when I left. Ordered frito mixto and chicken nachos. Enjoyed churros and ice cream for desert. Small neighborhood joint. Will return!

Highlights here were the drinks and the friendly service. The restaurant is quite small inside, with a few big TVs. It wasn't rowdy or too crowded like most bars on a Friday, making it a nice place to chat and relax. . The food here is not too bad for a quick stop. The pupusas were very cheesy and had a nice crisp, I enjoyed the salsa, but the cheese dip we had was a bit congealed. The margaritas were a great deal for the price! Let me tell you -- they were VERY strong. So strong I thought I might've accidentally ordered a double! It made them a really good deal, and not too sweet to drink. I will definitely come back here for a quick drink, and some of the nice spicy salsa.

My first time in. I got the Lomo Saltado for lunch and it was very delicious! Steak was tender and well seasoned, and the green sauce has some serious spice! Mary served me and was quiet but friendly and welcoming. I will certainly be back!

My friends & I stopped by for food on a Sunday around 5pm. Wasn't too busy. There were a few people at the bar in and out while we were there but still fairly quiet which is unfortunate because the food is AMAZING. This was my first time trying authentic Salvadorian food and I was not disappointed at all. My friend recommended I try the Lomo Saltado and it was cooked to perfection. The steak and fajita veggies were very tender and flavorful. A little bit of a spice to them but not too much that I couldn't enjoy it. The beef enchiladas were also DELICIOUS and perfectly cheesy and creamy. They had sort of a honey bbq flavored sauce to them. Not sure what exactly this was but it added so much to the plate. 10/10 will recommend to anyone.

I ordered three chicken and cheese pupusas, and they were a great size. I was nearly full after the first two. The flavor was on point. My apologies for my photo because I was already halfway through my third pupusa before I remembered to snap a picture. I also tried the corn tamale, which my wife and I enjoyed a lot. On top of that, I ordered a steak taco, which unfortunately didn't make it into a picture either because I ate it too fast. What stood out to me was the "shell." Instead of the usual flour or corn tortilla, it uses the same masa dough as the pupusa, and I really enjoyed that difference. We finished our meal with the nuegados en miel dulce, something I had never tried before. I was glad I did because it was delicious and a great way to end the meal. Overall, the food and experience were excellent. If you are like me and rely on Yelp reviews to decide where to eat, I highly recommend giving La Casita Pupuseria & Market a visit. You will be well pleased like I was.

We were sat right away and I was surprised at how big the restaurant is (way bigger than it looks from the outside!). I started with a hibiscus margarita, which was delicious. Then we ordered a few things to split, including: guac and tostadas, charred cabbage, gorditas with chorizo, aguachile negro, and the beef short rib platter. The charred cabbage was the biggest sleeper hit. It was so flavorful and unlike anything I've ever had before. Everything else was delicious, although the aguachile was probably my least favorite of what we tried. We finished with the rose water tres leches and the dulce de leche crepes. The tres leches were pretty good but the crepes were amazing. I don't usually love dulce de leche, but it was definitely a standout.

If you are planning to visit during popular dining hours, it might be worth it to make a reservation. We arrived during a weekend around 5:30 pm, and the place was somewhat empty. However, by 6-6:15 pm, the place was PACKED. I was a very surprised (in a good way) that the menu was a bit smaller compared to other Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurants in the area. I necessarily do not think the smaller menu is a bad thing because, with a smaller menu, a restaurant can focus on preparing everything well (i.e., it's easier to do a good job with 20-item menu versus a 50+-item menu). For my dining pleasure, I went with the enchiladas suizas with a few margaritas. Overall, I thought my plate was very delicious; however, other diners at my table and I noticed that the portion sizes were a bit small for the price. Perhaps, the restaurant uses higher quality ingredients for its dishes. Although the margarita sizes might appear to be small, they definitely are not "small" in power/punch, so the $13-$18 price range is appropriate. My favorite margarita of the night definitely was the El Jardinero, which was a wonderful mix of carrot, cilantro, peach, lime and a semi-spicy pepper of sorts. Collectively, we all thought the service was exceptional because our waitress constantly visited the table. Personally, I thought it was a bit overkill, but that's a very, very minor complaint based on my very, very personal preference.

They have a full menu in addition to tacos, we also had carne asada sopes. Service is friendly, nothing amazing, but it was friendly and efficient, especially only one young man was working the floor. Ambiance is a bit divey, but I think that's what makes the food taste so good. And a little secret - we liked the tacos so much we went back two days later for more.
