I told him that our budget was $2k and that we needed something that was pet friendly, and he immediately said "I have the perfect property" and handed me off to a someone named Jason. We saw the property and were ready to move on it! I asked Jason if he thought we could finalize in the next week and he said "it shouldn't be a problem." For the next four weeks, it was a terrible experience. Day after day, week after week, it was a different story that was delaying finalizing the lease. He said that the owner was being "stubborn," the owner held out for a buyer who would pay more (even though he previously told me not to worry because they weren't showing it anyone else), the owner didn't want a dog on the property, the broker is too busy to send the lease and prioritized ppl who were buying.... he kept on telling me that I "had to be patient or would ruin the deal." All this while, Jason knew that our urgency was because I was five months pregnant and we were trying to secure something ASAP so that we could make plans with doctors/ hospitals nearby, not to mention we had a hard deadline on our move and I needed an address to send to our movers. After a couple of days short of a month, the lease finally came and the terms we agreed on weren't there. We responded the next day with our concerns. Jason said no worries and that we would get the new lease in two days. That came and went. I called Jason, he said to give it a few more days. It took another week to receive the revised lease and they demanded that we sign it within 24 hrs (this is after the broker Lindsay took one week to make a change that might have taken 2-3 minutes). Needless to say, we chose to work with another realty group. After I communicated our decision to the broker Lindsay, she apologized and said that this is not the way that they run their business. I appreciated it (that's the only reason we are giving two stars and not one) but it was too little, too late... The trust was already gone and the experience was terrible. There's more that I could say about what a waste of time and how frustrating this process has been, but I'll just end it with we chose to work with someone else. I understand that this is a business but the "wheeling and dealing" personality of this realty group really rubbed us the wrong way.

She also claimed the house as her residence so she could send her daughter to Wallkill School District, and not Newburgh. Turns out she had no authority to rent the property in the first place. Called Hudson Valley Home Connections and they said that it was not their problem and that she was fired from her last job. She knew her worker committed multiple counts of fraud and saw it as "not her problem". When I left an initial review they called the Town of Newburgh Police to have it taken down. Needless to say, stay away!

I had a situation that was very frustrating at times and part of what even calmed me down enough to see the deal through was this very helpful and kind woman. She's even gone as far as to leave us a welcome card after the deal was done and we'd begun to move in. It's the little things and the after thought that counts. In good faith we signed a 6 month contract with Mrs. Schweitzer in the hopes that she would help us sell our home for a fair price in a reasonable amount of time. During this time period Mrs. Schweitzer was extremely condescending and rude to us as clients and was putting unnecessary pressure on us to sell for well below market value. Also, during this time, one of our neighbors was reported to the local town authorities for building violations that he claims happened as soon as the 'for sale' sign went up on our property, said neighbor had to tear down two structures on his property which cost him thousands of dollars...interesting coincidence since we have been living here for 9 years and never had any issues with the structures on his property and would have never reported that to anyone. We mind our own business. This experience has left us in a much stressed state as we feel emotionally abused by this realtor. I don't recommend anyone use this company for their real estate needs.
