I'm not a big fan of Play It Again Sports because of the high prices. That's right, Play It Again Sports has high prices! IMO, used sports equipment should be priced lower than the prices you find at big box stores like a Walmart, or even at Big 5. I admit that Play It Again Sports have lower prices than the same gear bought new. My view is these prices should be significantly lower than new equipment, not just a little lower than new. That's what I saw when I visited those three stores. It's not surprising that I haven't purchased many items (maybe 3) from Play It Again Sports, and I could've easily bought 10X that, from golf clubs to baseball gloves/bats to weights. That's my take on Play It Again Sports.

I knew of a place (Howard Prep in Ceres, Ca) that helps out young adults with mental and physical disabilities, and he donated the machine to Howard Prep. Not only did he donate that piece of equipment to help the disabled, his knowledge to help me select other pieces of equipment to develop a great program for these individuals with mental disabilities is phenomenal. He assured me that he would give me the best price for additional equipment to stay within my budget to create a great experience for Howard Prep. Chris is a man with integrity, family valleys, and working for the community. We need more people like him in this world.

The staff that works not professional at all including their referees & ref coordinator. We had an incident today the ref that they had didn't have any knowledge of soccer. Brought it up to the coordinator they just laughed at our face and said it happens. As a parent we expect to have professional or at least ref that knows what they are calling. Pointing at parents faces is not the right way for a coordinator to speak to a parent and telling them they should ref the next game while having a smirk in their face. They need to work on professionalism.

There is no organization and some teams stopped playing there before the end of the season. Also, the soccer facility is a pretty rough part of town, so be careful. I hope things change and it could be fun for everyone.

This park has bongos!…read more Nice sized playground with fun equipment in excellent condition along with regular swings and baby swings. Clean and safe bathroom and lots of trees. Nice layout with some short walking paths meandering through trees. Also did I mention that it has bongos? For extra fun you can ride bikes or scooters with your littles on the Hetch Hetchy Trail adjacent to the park. You'll roast in the summer in the afternoon here so morning and evening visits are advised.

Review #162 - 2020…read more The boys have been bugging me to find a basketball court since we were in Twain Harte so when we were heading back home, I decided to Yelp a park that has a basketball court and a playground. We showed up at around 1 PM on Sunday, August 23rd, but little did I realize that this park was located in a pretty nice little community. The park was empty when we first showed up so we had the whole place to ourselves. The teenage boys had a great time playing basketball while the younger kids played on the playground. My brother-in-law brought a kid's archery set to let the kids shoot and the open space was perfect for it. A few people showed up a little later and the place didn't feel as empty anymore. The park is very nice and clean. The bathrooms were open, even though there were caution tapes on the playground, which people had already ripped off. It was surprisingly clean for a public park restroom.
