Cute local home decor, general market. Love this little gem! Lots of hand made items and reasonably priced.

IF YOU HAVE SHOPPING TO DO ON THE BIG ISLAND GO TO BENTLEYS…read more========================================================= My sister and I decided to drive to the Waipio Lookout and then go to Waimea for shopping one day. If you have shopping to do definitely go to Parker Square. That is where Bentleys Home Collection is located. I love everything in the store and ended up buying a couple trivets. I bought one big one with a pineapple and a small one with a plumeria. Later I ended up giving the small plumeria one to my sister. I really needed another big trivet the size of the pineapple one, so I called the store a few months later and they shipped me another one. Pass on the kitschy ABC Stores and tourist traps down by the ocean and head up to Waimea one day. Take a side trip to the Waipio Lookout and grab lunch in Waimea too.

I was just coming into the store and started a polite conversation because I have been in the store before, I was curious about the remodel changes and when it had happened but she was extremely rude and very disrespectful towards me. Also being born n raised in waimea never seen someone so disgraceful, and extremely abruptly. would give it a 0 star if I could!

He was making a lei while I browsed around and as I paid for my merchandise and got gifted a Pualeikinini lei, I was touched by his kindness. I love the fragrant smell of this flower. I didn't expect that and grateful that the flowers are in season. Just walking around exploring this part of town, I am so glad I made a stop at this shop before my lunch reservations, it was around the corner. I loved looking at the antique and vintage stuff, some items did bring back some memories of small kid times but some were quite interesting to look at. One item caught my eyes, saw a mini cute sewing machine which I had to get for my mom, it reminded me of her ( she had a sewing machine just like it). I was surprised at the price and Kelii even packaged the items up so nicely. My mom was so happy when she opened it, thank you for doing this! The Kicknackery ( cute name btw) is a unique store located in downtown Hilo, that sells a variety of items including: Antiques, vintage collectibles, souvenirs, & quirky knick-knacks. About a month ago, I ordered two furniture pieces and paid a 50% deposit, with the understanding I would pay the remaining balance when the items arrived. While I was in the store, I witnessed another customer ask about a kamaʻāina discount and paying cash to avoid taxes, and the salesperson agreed. I then asked if I could do the same. The salesperson told me that with a Hawaiʻi driver's license, I qualified for a kamaʻāina discount. The salesperson offered to refund my deposit so I could pay cash after the discount was applied when the furniture arrived, and I agreed. Later, I was contacted by the owner (Courtney), who told me they do not offer a kamaʻāina discount and that paying cash was the "discount." That is not what was explained to me in-store. When I asked that the agreement made by their salesperson be honored, it was refused. Instead, I was repeatedly told that the kamaʻāina discount (which they dont offer!!) referred to tax savings, which was never how it had been presented at the time of purchase. I questioned why I needed a Hawaii Drivers License then? Anyone can pay cash! During that call, Courtney ended the conversation after stating she would not honor what had been communicated in-store and had nothing further to discuss. Because of how this situation was handled, I chose not to move forward with the transaction. Potential customers should be wary of what felt like bait-and-switch terms and unethical business practices. What is communicated at the point of sale may not be what is ultimately honored. This experience felt misleading, reflected poor business practices, and completely eroded my trust.

If Google let me give negative stars, I'd still ask for more…read more I'm always fair when I post reviews -- I'm not out here trying to ruin anyone's childhood dreams. But good grief, this business has the reliability of a toddler with a sugar crash. I drove a long distance to visit this shop. My partner drove here twice. And every time the place was closed during normal business hours. No sign. No explanation. Not even a sad little sticky note that says, "Oops, my bad." The owner even had the lack of integrity to tell my partner that she would be there today. Hilarious. At this point, I'm convinced the shop is run like a speakeasy: If you know, you know. If you don't, well... good luck, traveler. So, I asked around town. Turns out, the locals know exactly what's going on: Apparently the shop owner is... how do I put this delicately... the human equivalent of a mosquito at a barbecue. Everyone I talked to implied they wish she'd just let someone else take over -- someone who actually wants customers instead of treating them like an optional side quest. You'd think a business owner would occasionally... I don't know... open the business? But no. She's running this place like a part-time hobby she actively resents. And the lack of communication? Chef's kiss. She doesn't even bother to explain why she's never open. At this point, I half expect the shop hours to eventually read: OPEN: When the stars align CLOSED: Always MAYBE: If Mercury is in retrograde AND she feels like it To say she's giving the town a bad reputation is an understatement. This shop is basically the retail equivalent of stepping in gum. Sticky, annoying, and somehow still your problem even though you didn't ask for it. I won't be back. Ever. And you can bet I'll be telling this story everywhere -- Yelp, Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, the back of cereal boxes, cave walls... whatever it takes. This store owner isn't just unprofessional -- she's a full-on case study in how not to run a business. Honestly, at this point, a tumbleweed would be a more reliable proprietor.

Spoke to owner on Friday and she apologized and said she was out of town. I asked if she would be open next day on Saturday and she assured me, yes, will be here at 10am. Drove over from Waimea at 12 pm on Saturday and again closed with no sign and no reason on recording. Walked around and spoke to local residents who said, yeah, haven't seen her, she kind of comes in when she wants to. So I decided, no more. Very unprofessional. Will NOT shop here again. Instead went to Waipio Valley Artworks where staff was very friendly and helpful.... And was actually there at the time stated for hours of operation. What a concept, huh?
