I have ignored their…read morerude behavior several times while I came to shop in an attempt to shop local and support small businesses, but almost each time I experienced some subtle rudeness or disrespect. Today all I did was come in an ask for some sphagnum peat moss, and when she told me the price was $18, I politely declined. Only because I have the exact quantity i need in my cart online for $4. I didn't gripe the price or anything crazy. However, she was overtly and dramatically upset. The husband was already getting it out the back, and she had the tell him I didn't want it anymore and was really rude about it. When she told him I didn't want it anymore, he threw his hands up and rolled his eyes and sighed in frustration, so I awkwardly laughed, not a haha-laugh but a polite, "I'm sorry" laugh and she said, "I'm glad you think that's funny." And I said "what is?" And she said "that he just went and got that and you don't even want it." And she added on how he's getting old. I explained i just have it cheaper in my cart online and she muttered on about how its probably less amount than theirs and it would probably be more expensive once shipping comes in. Boy, she couldn't finish ringing me up fast enough because I had to stand there and awkwardly listen to her fit that I didnt want ONE item when I came in there and STILL bought $50 worth of merchandise. I have dealt with that weird rudeness and backhandedness from them before. One memorable time, I was browsing outside and the man came out mad as hell acting like I must have been stealing. I politely decided to attribute his grumpiness to age and I left the property. I'm very patient with old people, you never know what age brings. And don't get me started about their prices, because once I bought a metal rake and a hoe from them and spent $60 just to find i really should've spent $25-30 for the exact tools I got. I didn't return them or anything, I took the L and made a mental note that they upcharge a lot for some products and I need to be mindful what I buy there to make sure I don't accidentally pay 2-3x what something may be in the future. This time, I'm tired of ignoring their attitudes. I understand people's attitudes can worsen with age, but I'm just taken aback at how rude and entitled. I intentionally go shop there to give them my business, but I just won't be doing that anymore. It's too much for me. This town is too small for y'all to be so rude when all I have to do is tell somebody else who might have gone in there to spend some money with you and now they won't because they're going to remember what I said I experienced there. This is my punch card I've been getting punched since 2023--when it's full you get 5 whole dollars off a bag of dog food.

This hunt was a real treat for me. After hunting for over 60 years, finding huntable land putting…read morein all the work setting it up, only to have it go away for one reason or another, for my 75th birthday I tried a "Dude Hunt." For what I pay to lease land, This was an absolute bargain!! It was a great choice. All I had to do was pay my fee and show up. Jim or Eric took me to the stand, chosen for the wind and what I wanted to hunt. Handed me all my gear after I got in the stand, and picked my up later. I shot the biggest deer of my life the 2nd morning, Perfect 8 point 215 lbs. with a really cool marking on his face. My wife, a non hunter, came along to chill out and had a relaxing time. Jim asked her to come out to see where I was hunting and retrieve my deer, she grabbed her camera and was impressed with the set up and experience. I tried to help Eric drag the deer out but Jim ran me off. Eric and his assistant prepped and packed the meat in my cooler for me to process at home. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. I've paid $200 a night and were not near as good. Miss Annabelle kept the good food coming for lunch and supper. Soooo much better than what I have in the camper when I'm hunting by myself, and I didn't have to clean up. I told her I usually lose weight when I go hunting but not this time. The overall experience was like a fun visit with old friends, except I wasn't allowed to help. God willing, I'd go back.

As we arrived to the lodge, another hunter and Jim came back from the swamp with a nice 8 foot Alligator; an exciting start! This is a friendly, safe and wonderful place to visit for those interested in hunting and the shooting sports. Jim's son was also a guide and a very well spoken and poised young man. I broke the back glass and wanted to get it fixed so I chose this place since the reviews seem pretty solid for just about everything. Everything was easy to set up and calling them wasn't a problem at all. I got there and the lady at the desk (I forgot her name I apologize) was incredibly sweet and super helpful so I'm thankful for her. I dropped the phone off at 12pm and got it back a little after 5pm. I got it and it looked pretty good from what I could see just a little residual glue which just comes off easily. Then when I was leaving I went to snap to take a photo and saw my back camera was fuzzy and I thought it was just dirty so I gave it a wipe and everything is still fuzzy. It's fuzzy as in everything is blurry and it looks like it just hasn't been cleaned in a while but it was clean and everything looked okay it just wasn't working right. Brought it back and the lady at the front desk was super helpful again and the guy who did the work on my phone (BJ) came out and refused to see the problem. My friend came with me and we have the same exact phone so everything with the camera should look similar and we both kept telling BJ it wasn't fine. We even put both phones side by side and you can clearly see a difference and he became so combative and slipped out a curse word too. He walked away after just saying "all I can do is swap the camera but you'll always have a message saying it's not the original" while just being very dismissive and not wanting to hear anything I had to say and I kept trying to ask if maybe when he was switching the back glass out that somehow dust or something got into it and he was not trying to work with me but trying to work against me. He said the offer still stands to replace the camera but I do not feel comfortable with him touching my phone anymore after he showed his ass. That was not professional how he handled it at all. My advice is. If you need the front screen fixed then this might be an alright place to go but BJ is the only one who works on the back glass at the Statesboro and Savannah location and I would never put my trust in him to touch my phone again.

I could tell it offered more. But I certainly did not expect to find the most incredible array of gifts, decor, novelties, penny candy, toys, men and women spa specialties and cocktail/bar items. There is even a gift wrap area and a UPS shipping counter. As I wandered around we started talking to this handsome man in scrubs. At first I thought he was a customer but learned he was the Pharmacist and Owner of this business. He was very personable and chatted about vision for his store. In my mind, I pictured a Hallmark movie where this young Pharmacist relocated to this small town and a happy story ensues. The actual pharmacy counter was very busy. It looked to be running very smoothly, given the fast moving crowd. The locals were all very friendly as I wandered around. I am seriously impressed with the very cosmopolitan feel to this store on Main Street in this tiny town.
