That can create confusion and be misleading for people who are genuinely trying to learn about the industry. One thing people overlook is the value they receive, even from the first meeting. Many of the talent scouts and staff have years of industry experience and freely share knowledge and insights that could take years to learn on your own. I'm so appreciative to them. John Casablancas has a long track record of developing successful talent, and everyone who joins has access to the same training, resources, and guidance. If some people achieve success while others don't, that doesn't mean there's something wrong with the program. Success in any competitive industry comes down to what each person does with the opportunities they're given. In my experience, the process was transparent, professional, and focused on education and development. I also never met anyone in my classes who felt they weren't getting value from the training.
