Unfortunately, all Granville County schools are terrible. All of them have this no child left…read morebehind moto. Basically, what this means is they will push kids along knowingly struggling or below grade level. When you try to fight that your child does not need to go to the next grade level, they question your authority as if they know your child better than you. It's all about money. Please parents if you can take your child out of public schools to homeschool or put them in a private school.

They say if you see something, say something and I did and I had to fight to get out of what she put us in for no real good reason. Your child will also get hurt due to so many bullies in this school. The principal is one herself. Worst school I ever put my children in and will not ever want to put any child in ever again unless they get a new principal. Then maybe it can be made better. Until then tho. Great school I've had mostly positive experiences. The teachers truly seem to not only care about…read morebut love the students. Ranks very high on state and national rankings. Everyone is very approachable and kind. The 2 issues I tend to have are the dismissals at the end of the day seem to be still a work in progress after all this time and the homework given to the elementary students. Sorry but most recent studies show homework doesn't benefit students until 8th grade. For a school on the vanguard of teaching methodology you'd think they'd have gotten the message. Honestly outside of that great school and I'd recommend it to others.
