Mary is the best ! Her class really changed my entire mind set on health/body. Mary comes to my home 2x a week for private sessions. I'm 2 months in and I am ADDICTED! I started off very nervous and hesitant..All I would tell myself is that I'm not flexible, I can't do yoga.. Whats there not to love about Mary Rita's class? I have zero experience in yoga, and went with a group of friends after a work out in hopes to get a good stretch. I ended up having an amazing time, and cant wait to go again! Her energy and passion for yoga make the entire class very enjoyable. I tried the candle light sessions where the room is dark, filled with candle light and relaxing music while she instructs her class. It was relaxing, spiritual and fun. Overall a great environment and vibe from her and the whole class. Mary treats everyone like family, and makes you feel super comfortable trying new things (like handstands and bridges lol). So if your a beginner going to your first yoga class, she will make sure you have a easy transition and will help you in anyway to get started. If I could leave no stars. This would be the time. After 3 months of dedicated commitment to her class, I was abruptly told that I was no longer welcome to attend her classes. The ironic part is that I was a model student and very professional, so professional that she gave me a loyalty card just last week! I thought that she was a good person who cared for the well being of her students until abruptly and without cause wrote me a discriminatory message telling me I am no longer welcome to attend. I can assure anyone that I am in the right and have the correspondence to prove it. I am sure that this might come as a surprise to many of her students as it was a bizarre surprise to me as well. I have never left any reviews let alone a negative one but this person made me feel like trash today for no apparent reason at all, just from the unhinged discriminatory unwelcome message this morning. If you want to start yoga and have no idea where to begin.. you found your teacher. MaryRita offers a different flow and vibe in her classes.. The music is a 10/10, her voice is soothing, and she makes everyone in her space feel comfortable. I get my workouts in at the gym 5+ times a week and realized that I needed to consistently start practicing yoga - to gain more flexibility and start meditation. I'm feeling conflicted about writing this review, for fear that my yoga teacher schedule will be booked solid!!! However, I'm happy to broadcast my gratitude for Mary Rita, in hopes that other yogis (or soon-to-be yogis) will be blessed to know her, too. Since beginning my practice years ago, I've felt shifted toward growth, reflection, peace, and presence... I debated whether or not I could afford a private yoga lesson once a week and looking back, I realize that the debate sure was a waste of time. Mary Rita provided the support I needed to begin a consistent yoga practice, by customizing sessions for me and by reminding me to be patient with my body. She had the right poses selected, modified the flow between them accordingly, and encouraged my breath to get out of its stagnant, stressed-out, constricted pattern. Somehow, she even picked music that was healing.  I gradually started attending classes and happily witnessed my strength and endurance improving. I'm now taking classes 2 or 3 times a week, in addition to the private session with Mary Rita (which I hold most sacred, especially during weeks where work is crazy or I'm emotionally spent). Meeting regularly with Mary Rita has been one of the best investments I've ever made.
