She called the airline (who now had its call center overwhelmed) and waited on hold updating us along the way. During that time I did internet searches for possible other ways to get to Germany and could find none. We gave up hope, but Mary did not. I scheduled my appointment with Carly, but she was busy when I arrived, so a woman who said she was her manager took me instead. This manager was one of the most unpleasant people I have ever dealt with in customer service. She was rude, dismissive, patronizing, and the whole interaction felt more like a confrontation rather than getting travel advice. She talked down to me the entire time, looking at me like I was stupid anytime I answered her questions. Carly was wonderful, exactly what you'd expect; she was kind and very helpful. But her manager had an abhorrent attitude and should not be working customer service in my opinion. As a manager, you are the face of your location, you set the tone for your environment. Whoever this woman was, was not that. Her position should certainly be reevaluated and she should be retrained at the least. Props to Carly for being great.

But she helped with much more than just the basics. Our travel to and from the airport was arranged, the documentation needed to enter and exit between countries was filled out, and she even helped us select some excursions. I wanted to take my drone, Kim helped ensure that I didn't require any additional paperwork for that. I had every form and document in my emails from Kim ready and available when I needed them. The evening that we arrived, we found a few minor issues with our room. I sent Kim a text describing the issues, and the next morning, I woke up to a text from her and a text from the resort manager. She handled it, and the resort basically offered us any available room to fix the problem. It was really nice to have someone help with all the little details, especially when traveling to a new place! Thanks to Kim's help, our trip was as stress free as possible. We enjoyed every minute of our vacation.
