He had a severe wound on his foot and Torrance Memorial Hospital told me amputation was the only option. I am grateful to say the wound care team at Marina Point proved that wrong. Steven, Malea, Courtney, and Alex have done an amazing, outstanding job. What they did feels like a miracle. Because of their care, my father's wound is almost completely closed. Their skill and dedication truly made the difference. The nursing staff Grace, Marcus, and Jenny make sure my father receives his medications and proper care. They are professional, patient, and reassuring. Brian and the physical therapy department also do excellent work helping patients regain strength and mobility. The CNAs are truly heroes. Hirut treats my father like family. She keeps him clean and well groomed and even when he is difficult she takes her time and gives him top-tier treatment. The patients seem to really love her. Even when my father refuses food she makes sure he gets the nutrition he needs. Coretta and Joe also work very hard caring for patients. I also appreciate how clean the facility is. It does not smell like a typical nursing home. Staff are always cleaning. My father always has clean gowns, towels, and sheets with no stains. The housekeeping staff clearly take pride in their work. The food looks decent and they give patients a variety of meals. When you call, someone always answers and you reach a live person, which gives families peace of mind. I especially thank Iman who helped get my father admitted the same day. She showed compassion and urgency. She worked to find a bed and helped him get accepted the same day. I will never forget that. The administration and nursing leadership also deserve recognition. The staff are welcoming, professional, honest, and reliable. They make families feel secure leaving loved ones in their care. Marina Point took a huge amount of stress off me because I know my father is safe and cared for. I would absolutely recommend Marina Point Healthcare & Subacute. The people here truly care. They tried to blame the transport company but that was a lie and proven as such. At discharge my husband, tagged gurney only, unable to move on his own, was lifted into a chair using a Hoyer lift, they said to take him to the medical transport van to bring him home. I was there when this happened and left so I'd be home when they arrived. I've learned since the gurney was supposed to have been moved. And they didn't take him to the transport van. He was left sitting in the chair for hours. They moved him into the rec room and simply left him there. In excruciating pain. He had multiple cancers and was coming home for Hospice. I called repeatedly asking where he was. Every time I was told he was on his way, over and over for hours. I was afraid to drive over there and not be home if he arrived. They kept saying he was in transit! I spoke to many different people. Later I learned he'd been calling out for me ... I was told that the following day by a social worker when the blame was still being put on the transport co. I had every intention of filing a law suit over this. I don't care about the money, they can't get away with this ever again. I haven't yet because he passed and I'm grieving. To be revisited. DO NOT BRING SOMEONE YOU LOVE HERE.

The Nursing staff are fabulous Erica the charge nurse she is so full life, sweet , and she is on it she takes care of the floor as if it were her own. The crew were wonderful and I received top notch PT and OT. I interacted with a lot of patients during Bingo. It was very refreshing. I even got to watch Monday Night football in the common area. They had many great activities. I even got a great manicure. The most pleasant surprise was the Chef. Retired military and one hell of a creative cook, especially the deserts (even though he is a 49ers fan) vs my Rams. When it was time to leave they helped me pack as I had brought way too much stuff (clothes). A special shout out to Michelle and Mark for taking such good care of me. The owner, administrators, nurses, aides, P.T. and O.T. staff, cleaners, food prepares, just everyone has been incredible attentive, compassionate and kind. I see that the staff get along with each other and have made friend with each other. They are happy working there and even travel long distances to work there which tells me they are treated well too. That means a lot to me! I have tears of joy thinking of how well taken care of my husband has been! They even recognized during his stay that something was wrong and perhaps he needed urgent hospital care. They insisted he be taken to the hospital...I believe they saved his life by doing that! Once in the hospital he was rushed to a further emergency surgery. When he was discharged from the hospital Pacific Post had saved his room and bed for him and all his things for him. They welcomed him back so lovingly. The food has also been good and the P.T. wonderful! They give him his meds everyday as directed, on time and correctly. Telling him exactly what it is he is taking. I would highly recommend this facility, though physically not the newest and fanciest, to anyone in need of skilled nursing care.
