I has…read moreimplants for ten years prior no issues just wanted them to fit my body more and sit closer together... Several weeks later, while traveling internationally, I began feeling extremely sick and developed worsening symptoms. Antibiotics were recommended/called in, but my condition rapidly escalated. I was ultimately diagnosed overseas with an MSSA staph infection that progressed to sepsis, requiring emergency hospitalization in Nice, France. I was taken by ambulance to the hospital with a documented fever of approximately 105 degrees and severe vomiting, and I ultimately underwent emergency explant surgery. I had drain placed and remained hospitalized in France for almost a while recovering. This was one of the most traumatic and frightening experiences of my life. Being seriously ill in a foreign country where I did not speak the language made the situation even more terrifying and isolating. In addition to the emotional and physical trauma, this situation also created significant financial consequences for me, including the original surgery costs, emergency ambulance transport, hospitalization and medical care in France, canceled travel plans, changed flights, and the loss of the European trip I had planned. recovery after this was extremely difficult, and I continued to seek medical care for ongoing symptoms and concerns after returning home. I understand that complications can happen with any surgery. However, based on my personal experience, I was deeply disappointed by the communication, bedside manner, follow-up, and level of support I felt I received during and after this medical crisis. In my opinion, the response did not feel as urgent or supportive as I would have expected given the severity of what I was experiencing. Separate from the medical emergency itself, I was also ultimately unhappy with my cosmetic results. I underwent a revision procedure and I paid additional costs for internal pocket revision work intended to improve implant positioning and symmetry. Despite this, I personally felt the final result appeared uneven, including noticeable asymmetry between my breasts. When I raised concerns, I personally did not feel that my concerns were meaningfully addressed or that I was offered a satisfactory path forward. Given both the aesthetic outcome and the severe medical complications that followed, this entire experience was incredibly disappointing and traumatic for me overall. This review reflects solely my personal experience and opinion as a patient.

Unfortunately my experience was not good, I'm very disappointed and will not refer him. He administered 2 injections. 1 injection of 10cc botox above each eyebrow (right where each eyebrow begins). The procedure was quick and relatively painless except for a sensitive spot at one injection site. I informed Dr. Kim of it because it was different from the other injection site. He told me it was fine but would bruise and he applied an ice pack. By the time I got home a lump had developed. The lump was sensitive and bruised, it lasted a few days but otherwise ok. I will try to post a pic. I was told it would take the botox a few days to a week to take effect. After 3 days there was no difference. I called the office, spoke to Marlene and was told that this was normal and to give it a few more days. I did, still no results. I called again and Marlene said doctor wants pics. She gave me her cell number and I texted pictures. I didn't receive a response so I called again. She says doc doesn't want you to scrunch so hard. And send more pics. I'm thinking what?! The whole point of the botox was to paralyze the nerve so I couldn't scrunch there by creating a smooth area. Anyway, instead of sending more pics I sent a video showing how I can move, scrunch, crease my brow because the botox didn't work. I didn't receive a call back. I called but got their service, never got a call from them. I've just chalked it up to a wasted 2 hour drive, paying for parking (they don't validate), $200, and a sensitive bruised lump on my face. I feel like I was cheated because I was left without any results. I went out of his office the same way as when I went in, no improvement. My money should have been returned. The doctor apparently doesn't stand by his work or care about his patients. Thankfully it was just botox and not a botched surgery! The 1st pic is the lump, 2nd & 3rd are about 10 days after injections, and last two are without scrunching, resting face the creases are still evident.

I called Dr. Diaz's office to confirm if this was normal and if anything had happened to not achieve the perfect results expected. Dr. Diaz called and explained everything perfectly and removed all of my concerns. Dr. Diaz is truly one of the best plastic surgeons, and a rhinoplasty is like trying to do surgery on a moving target. To solve for the final 1% of my concern, I was invited to speak to him for a revision in the future if needed. This is all to say, he is truly the best and while 99.999% of his results are all home runs, sometimes very complex noses (like mine) have a slightly almost perfect result and that is OKAY!
