It seems many people either park in the housing complexes parking or in the Chido's parking lot. -Half of the walk around the pond is not very peaceful since you are right next to such a busy intersection.

I chose this park for my walk/jog last Saturday and I liked that it wasn't too packed at the time. There were groups of people exercising and there were others solo like me! It's not a big park, but still plenty of room for everyone! I couldn't quite remember the entrance for parking so I ended up parking by the Chidos restaurant. I saw others parked there and heading toward the park so I figured it was fine. Also it wasn't during business hours either so I wasn't worried.

The address is Davidsonville Rd but it's actually a side street called Ed Dokes (I think). There is a signal light that doesn't appear in Google maps (I reported all this to Google). Just look for the Crofton High School marquee, and turn there! The equipment looked fairly new to me, and definitely well maintained, with plenty of climbing opportunities as well as the swings. There are two adaptive swings There are several picnic tables here and there, and lots of lovely trees. We didn't go check out the trails, but I will probably go back alone to do that sometime.

This is one of the nicest parks and has an impressive array of equipment, fields, trails, and…read moreshelters. We visited twice while in the area -- once near dusk and once in the midmorning hours. The park is well utilized and populated with other park goers and sporting activities. Plenty of parking, easy access, and restroom facilities of portable toilet near the playground and soccer field. Witnessed several soccer games and lacrosse team sports while visiting and driving through the park. Stadium lighting enabled game play after the sun had set. Fields all appeared to be well maintained. Fitness trail with instructional signage and equipment was well maintained and an impressive feature. Plenty of trails could be seen from our vantage point. Multiple covered shelters with plenty of picnic tables. Lots of dog walkers and foot traffic. We enjoyed the pirate ship playground equipment as well as swings, including one specifically outfitted to accommodate special needs. Play activity equipment was scattered around the large soft-surface playground, including a drum and bell stand and spinning equipment, with a handful of benches scattered about surrounding the area to accommodate watchful oversight close by. Stamp of approval from the 3-year-old and all of the adults in our group. Would visit again.

I've been here four times, and three times while I had my dog on the leash conducting training, other dogs have tried to attack my dogs, and the owners of these dogs did not really care about their dog's temperament. If you do consider coming to this dog park, please bring pepper spray so you can deter the dogs belonging to lazy and inexperienced owners.

It gives them plenty of room to play & roam. They supply dog bags but somehow many patrons still fail to pick up after their dog(s). There's 3 benches for the people. I like the one way in the back under the tree. For some reason the dogs always play & stay towards the front. The park also provides water via a cooler which may or may not be full depending on 1) the weather and 2) if the staff are checking it regularly. I also like the mulch as it makes cleaning up easier. When I first…read morelived here, 2000-2003, Burba was really nice, well maintained, the water quality was good and there were enough little bluegill/sunfish to make a kid tired of catching them. This is no longer a "good" fishing spot, and not the overall family recreation area that it could be. This not just an old guy "get off my lawn" observation [okay its a little bit of that]. For many complex reasons the resource is no longer in good shape. There are far too many year round Canada Geese (nutirent load/water quality aspects), the shoreline is not regualrly groomed/maintained. The asphalt path that rings the lake is also in rough shape. It looks nice from a distance, and the playgrounds are still usable. But Burba Lake is a shadow of its former self right now. I understand the realities of the resources to restore it - but I do wish there was a way to do so. If there were a magic wand: -greatly reduce geese -restore water flow into lake (feeder streams in terrible shape) -maintain bank vegetation -restore native water plants -manage algae blooms -drop in structure for fish habitat -stock a variety of native fish species (I've only seen sunfish/turtles)

Although they don't have a dog park, the fenced baseball field area is commonly used as one. It is always clean and well kept. There is a playground for the kids and a very nice soccer field right in the middle. It has plenty of parking and is basically attached to the lot at Northeast HS. The only issues I ever see here are people failing to pick up dog poop.
