Love it. I've looked at quite a few but this one is spacious, clean for the most part (although it's dropping on picking up the droppindroppings) and the folks here are one big family. They close pretty early..open pretty late but there is always someone here and they lock up at closing time. They take dog play seriously...meaning no fighting of OUT you go! We feel pretty safe here...and there are trails and sports going on all around. read more

No issues regarding the dog park. It appeared very clean. However, my son had to use the bathroom before football practice across the way in the Harper's choice middle school field. There isn't a bathroom exactly near the field, and I asked a lady who was working in the booth at the dog park yesterday evening if he could use the portable potty (I understand and am aware it wasn't a public restroom) and she said "no because you and those people on that football team are always causing problems". That situation was very frustrating and unhelpful, especially when an 8 year old child has an urgent bathroom need. I am also aware park booth attendants must follow site rules, but refusing a child in an emergency due to unrelated group issues lacks basic common sense and empathy. read more

I went to this dog park recently and had a great time. I don't actually have a dog, but it was fun to play with the dogs. By that, I do not mean I throw a stick, and they catch them. I mean that I would pretend to be a dog and play with the dogs themselves. If anyone were to catch a stick it would probably be me, because a little kid saw me at the park and got very frightened and threw a stick at me. It left a huge bump on my head and the other dogs decided to gang up on me and beat me up. In conclusion, I give this park 4/5 because I had a fun time but there are way too many sticks and the dogs that beat me up stole my wallet. read more

THERE'S A FEE!!!m If you found this on Apple Maps beware there's a fee/membership with this park. There a man out there enforcing that. The dog park wasn't anything special, good lord! If this was anything spectacular like a pool or something with super high maintenance then I could see why but this isn't anything more than an empty space with a few things your dog can play in. Take your dog elsewhere. I have heard the Worthington park is free and less hassle. I brought my dog, with all necessary tags and vaccinations, to this park and the lady (middle aged, blonde) at the front gate turned him away stating that you need a rabies vaccination from this fiscal year to be admitted. I showed all documentation that he was licensed in Howard County, and vaccinated properly. It didn't change anything. I have previous experience as a veterinary technician, and know that adult dogs need inoculations every 3 years. More than that would be unhealthy and ill advised. My goldendoodle was turned away on the spot. I was starting to feel discriminated against due to at least two caucasian pet owners walking past me without a problem (I am Asian). I would not return to this dog park, especially seeing other reviews about gossip, discrimination, and worse. Go to the Worthington dog park. read more

Nice large area but there was no-to-little clarification on google and Yelp that it is a dog park in which requires a fee. Also the organization of the fees are poorly done, never pro-rated from the time you would purchase a membership at any point of the year. All in all, it seemed more of a hassle for a simply a place that is just an enclosed area to allow your dog to play. read more

Great Dog Park Overall! Pros: - Plenty if open space for dogs to run and play. - A private space for dogs under 25lbs and a separate space for dogs over 25lbs. - A few shaded areas for guardians to sit and stay cool. - A water fountain for dogs that's open until March or April. - Most dog owners are nice and respectful. - strict policy with vaccinations. - Day pass allows you unlimited visits on that day. Cons: - daily fee is a lot especially for out of county residents. - Out of county yearly fee can be expensive - occasional forgotten poop by an owner - closed on Thursdays - Weeds are slowly taking over the grass area. - The terrible smell of dog poop on a really hot day. Overall I think this is a great dog park. My Australian Labradoodle loves to run around and make new friends. She has been happy and exhausted when we leave to go home. I took my dog here for the first time today! He loved it! He played in the small dog area first and ran around with another pup for about an hour, then went and played with the big dogs in the big dog area! He had such a great time and all the other dogs were fun and playful with him! I will definitely take him here again! read more

We have been coming here for going on four years and we have always had a positive experience. We go to the small dog side and our dog always has so much fun! I appreciate the fact that you have to pay. The fees help maintain the facilities. I also appreciate that they make sure vaccinated dogs only are there. Our dog has made friends with lots of other small dogs, and for the mist part, we have enjoyed getting to know other owners. I am so glad Columbia has a place like this. read more

It's ok. Of course you have to pay but I prefer the worthington dog park. The person that maintains it was not friendly at all, and just as the other reviews stated the people that are regulars here did do a lot of whispering. When I brought my dog to the small dog area, there were A LOT of bees, the big yellow and black bees, my dog kept getting stung on her leg so we left. Again every place has its pros and cons but I prefer the other dog park, we had a blast there! read more

I'm a travel nurse and just wanted to take my small dog to the park to run around. Upon arriving at the park, it appeared very nice and clean. There was a guard gate with an attendant that stops each person entering. The attendant informed me the park was for ppl who lived in the community and their was an application to fill out and the fee was $35; if your not a resident the fee is $75. This was absurd to me and I just left. Felt a little snubbed!!! read more

I have stopped coming here simply because I wanted to refrain from punching some pet owners in the face for breed discrimination. I can particularly point out two (some lady with a yellow lab and some man with a gray-spotted mutt). These owners always want to blame any dog that looks like they have an ounce of pit bull in them for "bothering" their pet. My dog is definitely a pit bull and he has never harmed anyone or even anything. The frequent visitors like to gossip to other folks about dogs that they THINK are problematic. There was one guy who said something in the means of "there was a Pit bull attack here last week" because I guess he didn't like the way some dogs were playing. He's probably just against the breed itself. Its just ridiculous. The owners who think their opinions matter need to be put on leashes more so than the actual dogs. And I'm only talking about the few who makes others' experiences not so pleasant. There are plenty of other owners who I can say are dog lovers and love life. My dog always has a good time regardless of how difficult others try to make it for him (because he just doesn't give a crap). Other than the snobby miserable owners, this is a good park to tire your dog out. It sucks that you have to pay, but nothing in Columbia is free. #DontBullyMyBreed #ProudPitParent read more
