Silver River has provided an array of services for the past two years. Most recently, my home had repairs after the previous tenant moved out, Silver River coordinated all repairs within a week. The next week my home was listed and application was processed. The next week new tenants were approved and moved in! My ability to pay online was terminated over an issue with my roommate's account. I was never notified that it was terminated and when I logged in to pay rent, surprise I can no longer pay online. Instead of being helpful and fixing the issue like she had the ability to do, my property manager threatened me with late fees if I did not drop off a certified check with only several hours notice. She was also extremely unresponsive to maintenance requests. I was told that wires coming down in the yard and tearing siding off the house was "beyond a normal maintenance request" and I would need to get the problem fixed myself. If the roof fell in would that be beyond a normal request and on me to fix?! Oh and she also tried to schedule the walk through several days before my move out date and before I had the place professionally cleaned. I got her to change the date but it didn't really matter because she charged me for having the place cleaned again anyways! Oh well, at this point I was already so over Silver River and their ridiculous antics. I am so relieved to be moved out of their property and into a rental where I am actually communicated with and treated with respect. I would not recommend moving into any of their properties under any circumstances, they do not have the tenant's best interest in mind, clearly they are just trying to make a buck for the property owners.

I now understand that there is a portal that I can get updates and responses to what ever issues I have had in the past as well as the future. While I will continue to do business with Calhoun properties, after speaking with Duane Calhoun I realize I needed to be a bit more patient and understand the process a bit better. Please let this serve as a reversal of any damage my initial review may have caused.

On the day prior to the inspection he sends a text message asking for payment. I acknowledged the message, reconfirmed the price, and asked if I can pay via credit card. Soon after I received another message saying that he would not be able to perform the inspection. His message stated that I should find another business on line. He has not returned my calls or text messages. Unfortunately he cancelled after 4pm on a Friday and now I have to wait until Monday before I am able to begin looking for another inspection. Service started out promising in the beginning then concluded sloppily once the end was on the horizon and no money was to be made. There were many belabored emails that just went in circles, offering no resolution and no apology. Two tenants moved out while NLR was managing the property and there were damages unfixed and no deposit credited. For example, after the first tenant moved out we were told to get the carpet professionally cleaned, then replaced altogether in order to rent. The repairs department was the exception, especially the new manager. He stayed on top of the jobs, and communicated before and after.
