This is a perfectly solid B&B in a suburb(!) of Derby. You'll need either a car or ride by bus to the city centre (c. 12-14mins, UKP 2.20 per trip) or to the station (c. 9 min, same price). It's not possible to walk the distance every day (c. 45min to the station, 60min to the centre). So pay that in mind if you don't have a car!
The room (Room 7, Single en suite) was Ok in size, with a large king-size bed with a good mattress. Bedsheets were changed twice during my 8 night stay, which is great. The room is properly furnished incl. flat screen TV, electric kettle, tea, instant coffee. Both the room and the bath are clean.
English breakfast (sausage, 2 stripes of bacon, poached egg, red beans, plus toast & jam) is OK and included in the room price. All in all, perfectly solid.
Minuses: the shower facility has NO pressure at all, which makes showering a rather unpleasant experience. Room service was forgotten on two out of eight days. read more
