You can only check in 20 min before your scheduled appointment. Checked in right at 3:40. A number spit out. Waited maybe 3 minutes. Got everything done, walked back to my car and it was 3:55pm. This is efficiency and customer friendly service. They do have a 24 hour kiosk available as well. There's also a kiosk in the parking lot for emissions. Lots of parking. There's an information desk and lots of seating. The service representatives are all jolly and happy to help. I watched an employee with a walkie come to the service desk and guide people to actual windows to help move along the line. They are very aware of how valuable your time is. The MVA employee that waited on me was very personable and delightful. She was very attentive and efficient. She explained everything with great detail and it was a super smooth transaction (thanks Lisa). Not what we have all known the MVA to be like in the past. Oh the horror stories and hours of time wasted. This place has a well thought out plan to make sure that people are taken care of quickly and with ease. Sprinkle some attention to super customer service and positive vibes and this is the new MVA that values you as a customer. Well done.

I arrived, checked in a couple minutes before my appointment and was in my car five minutes after my scheduled appointment! The staff were in a good mood and personable which has generally not been my experience at the MVA. Now that I know how this works, I will be driving here to get things done.

I saw cars in line to take driver's tests and accidentally ran across the CDL driving test parking lot. Doh! I was here for my TSA interview. And I was totally confused. For one, you can't enter via the front door so, park in the back. Secondly, all the one-way streets had me going in circles. I understand the safety aspect of it, but I wish they would identify the direction on the backside of the parking lanes. It took me three times circling the parking lot to finally be able to park. There's a lot of handicap parking so, if you're coming from the back side, look for non-handicap parking on the lanes to your left. Once you enter the building, there's a lot to decipher so, come early. There are a lot of police so they might be able to point you in the right direction. If you're coming for your TSA Interview, you'll see the sign. The room is to the left when you enter. It looks like a small office, which it is. The representative was quick. I just wish those in customer service would remember the field they chose to work in. Communicate, engage, smile or something. I felt like I was intruding on her time and she was just going through the process. But hey, like I said, it was relatively painless. She took my fingerprints, took a picture, I paid and was out the door in approximately 20 minutes.

Just as long as you have the proper information for renewal. The kiosk only accepts credit card payments. Once you confirm all the information needed. It will immediately print out your registration with your stickers. Why wait on the mail service. When this is available. FYI there is three kiosk machines available. Their was a little line when I arrived but it moved pretty quickly. For registration renewal this is the way to go!

They are not helpful, they make it harder, it's hard to hear them through the glass because there's music playing that's very loud and the number of people at this location was insane. I had an appointment and I still waited 45 minutes before my number was called and I was there on time. And then I had to go to another queue for other things to be accomplished and because the MVA system that I had made my appointment with didn't tell me that I needed additional paperwork filled out I then had to fill it out standing up in the back of the center and then figure out how to be added back into the queue to be called again. Then I waited another 45 minutes for them to tell me additional information that I didn't know and wasn't aware of to begin with. The MVA website is lacking too but the personnel at this location generally was terrible. The next time I need to go to an MVA location it will not be this one ever again. The runaround that I received here was terrible, the misinformation that I received when I came back to get my registration taken care of at a kiosk after I had completed my state inspection was wrong. I wasted a trip, I wasted time, valuable time. I don't recommend going to this location for anything you need to do regarding registering your car, getting a driver's license, taking care of your title, or anything else. There are much better locations to go to outside of this Baltimore City location.

He was clearly not having a good day, and in the middle of driving he said, "This is a driving test pick up the pace." Like TFFFF what do you mean pick up the pace??? Anyway, I did make a few mistakes one because there was a blind spot, and another because I missed a speed bump. Thankfully, he still gave me my license. But I don't know... I get that they're supposed to be intimidating, but that was kind of weird lol.

The time spent listening to the opening part, of the automated recording, about the times/ hours and what days of the week, we tend to forget why we called in Then we have the part about knowing the person's four digit extension and to enter it, if we know it. Who knows anybody's four- digit extension these days?? DMV doesn't even sign their correspondence, they send out. No name or department mentioned I ran a call center and I know from experience, customers don't have time to wait on hold. When you call a company, the first point of contact, if there is one, usually gets you to the right department, first and foremost. If a customer is put on hold, that's the time all the information about opening hours, directions, etc , could be included. Some companies prefer "hold" music, at this time. I always thought it's the perfect time for all the company information to be included.

I can't say enough great things about Beth at the Essex MVA in Maryland. I arrived with only about…read more10 minutes left in her shift, and I've felt that late-in-the-day pressure before, but Beth offered one of the warmest, most welcoming attitudes I've ever experienced. She made me feel like I was her top priority. She resolved several complicated toll issues, including an incorrect charge of nearly 70 dollars. What could have been a frustrating mess, turned into a positive customer service experience. In about 20 minutes, she not only fixed the errors, but I actually left with a $19 credit on my E-ZPass transponder. Her knowledge, efficiency, and attention to detail are extraordinary.
