From the moment when she reached out that she might be able to see me a little sooner than our appointment time, to having greeted me and sat me down in her chair all until she sent me home with a big smile on my face and recommended products in hand--I COULD NOT BE MORE HAPPY WITH MY EXPERIENCE. Alyssa took into consideration the change I wanted to apply to my look and she understood the assignment FULLY. I can not say enough good things about how very professional she was with her overall approach, how empathetic she was to my transformation and visit at the salon. We enjoyed a wonderful conversation and connected on a level that felt like I had known her for a long time. She made me feel comfortable, heard, seen and understood. They are not so stay woke yelp friends. I called ahead to make an appointment for my Tweenager, 10 going on 30. She picked out an edgy asymmetrical style that I don't believe just anyone can do it. I did not want it butchered as she had beautiful long locks. I expressed my desire of having someone being able to do it and they had someone in mind. Christel did an outstanding job. Spending hours at a salon watching my daughter get half her head razor cut is not my idea of fun, normally. I in no way wanted to rush perfection. My daughters excitement and the radical change before me was so inspiring to document. I also wanted to be done up, so I made arrangements to come back and get some red low-lights in my hair. My makeover took much longer and the result no where as fun but appropriate for a mommy who sometimes wants to be bad. I love it.

The stylist was nice and personable but she put a product on my hair that made my hair look like it was drenched in oil. She did it to my sister as well. Our hair looked the worst it has ever looked. I had to shower again to get the oil out of my hair which removed the makeup just applied by Priv. I had to do it over myself almost making me late to the wedding. My sister didn't have time and her hair looked like she had been rained on which she hadn't. The worst part is I contacted Priv to get my money back or a partial refund. They refused and said they needed a photo for proof which I then provided several. They refused again. I provided more proof and there final decision was no money back. The girl I had selected for our hair because of her reviews canceled on me right beforehand and the hair girl that arrived at my home was a replacement. Through our conversations, I learned her hair experience was that she worked once at Supercuts but her real job was electrical work. I told the manager I would be leaving a bad review and he didn't care. So here is that review. They don't care about customer satisfaction and the person you think is a professional hairdresser or makeup artist is not. I would never use them and I will warn anyone who will listen to stay away from Priv. My purpose for this review is -I hope to save someone from this horrible experience.
