I think it is just a matter of opinion because I see that most of the reviews are positive. I'm sure it's just me because I dislike underbaked cookies. If you like your cookies crunchy, you have come to the wrong place. The store itself is very clean and the staff are super nice, the cookies all look delightful but to me they taste like dough. I got the lemon, an oatmeal one and one called hopscotch. All three were underbaked and I think that this is the trend these days but for me, unfortunately, the cookies are a no. The flavors at Mary's Mountain Cookies are so fun and they recently opened a new location at the mall (but I don't think that one has a Yelp). I tried the huckleberry lemonade, creme brulee, Twix cookie, and I'm forgetting the name but the monster cookie with M&Ms on it. The M&M monster cookie is my friend's favorite, but it's tough for me to choose one because they were all so fun. I love a dessert with fun flavors and Mary's really delivers. The huckleberry lemonade really tasted like both those things especially the lemonade flavor, and the creme brulee was a bit sweet but fun to try. Twix would probably be my absolute favorite though - they really got the Twix flavor and crunch spot on. Staff is also great! read more

Not sure about bathrooms but parking is street parking. And there is a garage near by as well as parking lots. AMAZING go here. Just do it. It smells incredible, everything looks incredible, they make ice cream sandwiches too, ice cream is homemade. Amazing staff!!! Super helpful and super sweet!! Just lovely! I got a bunch of different cookies for a display for my clients and they were in love!! Such cool creative designs and equally amazing taste!! They even have a gluten free section SEPARATE from the gluten cookies!?!! I snagged one for myself and it is amazinggggg. So thankful they had such safe GF options! Wow.... I just came across the best cookies I've tasted recently. We came across Mary's Mountain cookies while visiting our friends in the area. The staff was super friendly and helpful when we walked in. The cookies were thick and huuuuge! Very similar to "Crumble" cookies. However, when i eat Mary's cookies, I don't get that over sugared sick feeling later in the day. The taste of the cookies were amazing. Very flavorful without being overbearingly sweet. These were my favorites Almond Butter Birthday Cake M&M ALL of them were delicious. The quality of ingredients and preparation is evident in each cookie. There isn't a location back home in Vegas but hopefully they'll find their way there. Enjoy! read more

Such good cookies!! There's a huge variety to choose from and they're all done quite well. I took a few minutes to decide but the guy helping me was so friendly and didn't mind. The crème brûlée cookie was unique and so tasty. I'm a huge lover of peanut butter and thought the peanut butter cookie could've use more pb as it tasted more like a sugar cookie, but that's really my only complaint. So many good options of cookie flavors here. I was on a huckleberry kick, so I got the huckleberry lemonade sugar cookie. My friend got the chocolate chip cookie. We both really enjoyed our choices. I would have loved to have tried the s'mores cookies. It looked soooo good! (This is a year round flavor) Though the cookies are quite large, I still feel they are a bit on the pricier end. However, with that being said, I generally bake at home quite a bit and don't generally buy from bakeries, so I might be a bit out of touch on pricing. read more

Ahhh!! I wish I could say more about this place. I was HUNGRY for gluten free cookies. Ravenous. I ran in to purchase some - but to my despair, their gluten-free mix is made with ALMOND NUT FLOUR (another allergy). Please consider using a different type of flour (rice, potato, etc etc). We stopped in here this morning to use a coupon we had received in the mail. We ended up buying two of the larger cookies (frosted sugar and snickerdoodle) and also a milk and a smaller mint oreo cookie for our daughter. My daughter and I both really enjoyed ours, but my husband said his snickerdoodle lacked some flavor and was not as soft as other snickerdoodle cookies he's had. Inside the store the decor is decorated with Montana decor, which I always love to see. The two people behind the counter were very helpful and friendly. It was still pretty early in the morning so we were the only ones in there. To the left of the cookie counter, they serve ice cream but I didn't get close enough to see what flavors they had. They are conveniently located on Higgins street. You walk in and you instantly smell butter, sugar, and FRESH baked cookies... it literally takes your breath away. They have a glass case of a various assortment of cookies (see the video) and they range between $3 to $4.50. These cookies and big, cake like thickness (soft), rich in flavor, and did I forget to say extremely FRESH OUT OF THE OVEN!!! Yes they have to cool down in order to add the toppings, etc... but it's a constant cycle. The owner was extremely nice to me and gave an extra cookie I purchased a total of 4 cookies: Crème Brûlée, Salted Caramel, Peanut Butter, and Oatmeal Raisin...then she gave me a Huckleberry Lemonade... I don't think you can go wrong here. I would choose Mary's over Miss Fields any day...just my opinion. It's had to compare to insomnia cookies only because insomnia has a cookie warmer, Mary's Cookies and Gourmet!!!! You will not be disappointed. They also have ice cream. They make cookie eating really easy. The cookies are moist without being sticky, they're soft without being crummy. There are a lot of flavors from oatmeal with candies to snickerdoodles, chocolate chip and peanut butter ones (dipped- yum!) I think these cookies could easily be used for bribery, coercion and maybe even spells. They're that good. And the prices are really reasonable, these are dessert size cookies. Holy AMAZING cookies Batman! I am a baker, and rarely purchase baked goods because I like my baked goods and am often disappointed by store-bought goods. That was absolutely not the case here. Everything about these cookies is perfection...the flavor(s), the texture, the choices. My only complaint is that there are too many choices, which is not a real complaint at all, it's just so difficult to choose and equally hard to name a favorite. We ended up trying 8 different cookies and loved them all, but top 3, I'm going to say créme brûlée, half baked and almond glazed cookies (in no particular order because it's hard enough naming the top 3). My kids preferred the rainbow iced sugar or almond cookies the most. The chocolate chip were solid. The cookies are large and slightly under baked which I prefer. There's a transcendental spiritual experience awaiting your taste buds at Mary's Mountain Cookies. If nothing else, their cookies will cause your eyes to close and roll back into your head as you moan in delight at the rich, sweet, fluffy tastes and textures that titillate your mouth as you work your way through each bite, hoping that the experience will never end, but knowing that it must. If only you could stay in that moment forever, with the scandalously delicious combinations of sweet, creamy, empty carbohydrates dissolving in your mouth, you really might achieve a sort of nirvana. Pontifications aside, these are the best cookies ever. There's an apocalyptically high-calorie concoction (though let's be honest - there's nothing in Mary's Mountain Cookies that's not high calorie) called a Snickerdoodle Avalanche. I'm a sucker for a snickerdoodle. My mom used to bake them for us kids growing up, so I have fond memories. Mary's took the simple, wholesome snickerdoodle and through some dark sorcery, converted it into a kind of toe-curling, moan-inducing snickerdoodle sugar sandwich. A snickerdoodle sandwich! For the love! There's a frosting filling that I blush to describe as orgasmic, and I would normally shy away from such cheap hyperbole, but all other words fail to adequately describe the experience of consuming this insane confection. Perhaps I'm going too far in this review, but I don't often leave reviews, and Mary's really inspired me. What's more, we arrived at the shop at 9:05 PM on a Thursday, 5 minutes past closing time. Being a reasonable, respectful kind of folk, we didn't enter when we saw it was past their closing time, even though they hadn't locked the doors yet. The owner came out and asked if we'd like to come in and pick out a few cookies before he locked up. That little gesture told us everything we needed to know about the character of the proprietor. I didn't catch his name, but perhaps I will the next time I go back. My wife and I were visiting Missoula from Arizona on this trip in consideration of moving here. The kindness of the owner (he sure didn't look like a Mary, but hey - these are modern times) also spoke to us of the character of the city. Missoula is just made out of good people, it seems to us. So in addition to giving us a kind of transcendental confectionery experience, Mary's might have been the final straw that pushed us over the edge and decide that yeah, we could really love living in a place like this. When we move here, I'll look forward to cookies from Mary's on a semi-regular basis. Maybe once a week. And no more than three cookies at a time. Maybe 4. Not more than 5, though.
