He went to a supplier and got what we needed even though it wasn't what he normally used, came back and installed same day. In about 2 months we were having the same issue. He came out immediately, reviewed his service notes, replaced the shocks with the brand he normally used since he had it in stock and didn't charge. The lid switch had gone bad and he told me he could replace it for $100-something or just bypass the switch for the cost of the service call ($85). That worked for me and I had a functioning washer again within about 20 minutes. I'll definitely call Paradise the next time I need appliance work.
