The restaurant here has excellent food. Lots of fish dishes but also some meat for steak lovers…read more Los Olivia's fish dish was excellent. The service was terrific, very attentive. The ambiance cannot be beat because it's right by the water, the Sea of Cortez. I recommend it as a wonderful place to eat here in Loreto, Mexico.

If you are the…read moretype of person who likes to spend an absurd amount of money to cushion yourself from the real world then this place is for you. The staff will treat you like your asking too much. Their indifference will be so complete as to make you question your own existence. Our stay included initially being downgraded. We were staying for 4 nights. There was a desk with an uncomfortable chair and a bench. No place to put ones luggage. No place to sit comfortably. When I asked for a chair i was told i could sit outside in the 95 degree heat. When they brought a chair it was another uncomfortable one. I asked again and the brought me yet another uncomfortable one. When i asked for a place to put our luggage they brought another bench. That was no where near big enough for our 2 suitcases. We asked for a refrigerator 4 times before one was brought. When I went to the 6 to 9 pizza party at 8:30 I was told I there was no pizza. In other reviews you here about noise or veiw, neither of this things were the case for me. The bed was comfortable the ac adequate and quiet. And yet every interaction I had with the staff was awful. There are a lot better places to be in Loreto.

Having vacationed in numerous places in the Baja over the last 6 years the El Tiburon Casitas are…read morethe most comfortable and inviting that I've had the privilege to stay in. Liz, our hostess outdid herself with making us comfortable and ensuring we had everything we needed to make our stay memorable. She gave us a tour of Loreto so we could get a feel of where things were. Showing us the best restaurants and the most awesome homemade ice cream parlor. Liz arranged for a boat tour for us and let us know all the local happenings around the area. The Casita was equipped with everything you could imagine in a kitchen. I could have baked cookies if I was thus inclined, and the staff came in and cleaned every day. It was lovely having our morning coffee outside in the courtyard and with a heated pool you could swim at any time of the day. With a well stocked library and movies if you just wanted to stay at the casitas and relax you need not look anywhere else. Close by the town square and the marina, everything was within walking distance. We have already booked a 2 week stay next year we were so impressed with the service and room. Pros * Comfortable beds * Private courtyard * Heated pool * Free WiFi * Hostess with the mostest * Full kitchen * Every kitchen appliance and utensils you could think of * Library and games * Movies * Gated * Security lights so you can see at night * Tastefully decorated rooms * Walking distance to anywhere in Loreto Cons * Having to leave as it was all booked up

Eva showed me around the grounds and pointed out where we would find everything we needed. For example; they provide drinking water to refill your water pitcher and ice trays. She also shared a local map with me. On it she had highlighted the banks, grocery stores and recommend restaurants. While all this was happening, my boyfriend was talking with one of the owners Stephan. Turns out they grew up in the same neighborhood in Petaluma...small world in deed! Our room was clean, comfortable and all the amenities (air conditioning) we needed for an incredibly relaxing stay. There was a full kitchen with everything I needed to prepare coffee and breakfast in the mornings which we enjoyed on our own little porch with a view of the pool. Our room got checked daily, bed made and garbage taken out with full service half way through our stay. Daily full service can be requested as desired. The hotel has free WiFi, a book sharing area, 2 pools (1 heated, the other not), 2 bbq areas with outdoor eating areas, and pool are towels provided. The rooms also have TV with DVD players and CDs to check out from the office. We met great people here, many of them were repeat customers and we felt like we had joined an ongoing party. We've already made plans to return!

Stephen arranged fishing trips for us with 2great skippers. We caught cabrilla, yellowtail, and the biggest pargo I've ever seen to 30 lbs! The cabana was great with all of the American amenities! We prepared some meals in our full kitchen with ample room, frig, stove , plates etc! Great Mexican coffee was in our room too! I recommend Cocos Cabañas to anyone who wants a tranquil vacation with a Mexican flair! Rod and April Lewis
