It has been in business a short 2 years so everything is very new and extremely well maintained. We stayed one night the "The brothers room" (my name not the correct name) by the pool with a lovely sitting area outside. All of the rooms are modern, very beautifully created and comfortable. In the restaurant, we met Maria herself and her son Francisco who is not only the hotel manager but the chef too. He created an amazing meal with fresh cream of asparagus (we watched the bag of asparagus being delivered to him as we sipped on our gin and tonics) soup, fresh fish (again, the fish was delivered fresh as we watched), an amazing "guacamole" from his father's recipe with avacado, octopus, scallops, tomato, cilantro and more. They gave us room number 130, the bathrooms floor were was wet from the running toilet water in the bathroom, we also saw rat droppings in our room. I asked for the manager (Claudia) to let her know, after letting one of the staff members at the counter know about the problems, I was told she's busy in a meeting. Our room was changed to room number 107, when we walked in it had a musty smell. After a couple of hours, we realize big bubbles on the ceiling and the and dripping water from the second floor room into our room (see pictures). When we told the counter again about the problem, they gave us our third room in two days. This was supposed to be a four day vacation. It turned into a four day disaster. Regarding the restaurant, they have limited breakfast, three items on the menu. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, the only one good thing they have is the beach, and nothing else.

I debated giving a four-star rating, but for ~$70-90 per night I think this is a great option. Cons: - Noise. While I found the rooms were quiet enough from neighboring guests, the locals do like to party nearby so there can be music into the night. Nothing the hotel could do about that necessarily - The dogs. Yes, they can be charming, however, they can make a mess and they do bark at night. Some of the dogs are strays and the hotel probably can't do anything about those, but some are owned by the hotel Pros: - Location. This hotel almost seems to have its own private beach. It's not actually private, but it's right there and it's very beautiful. We watched sunsets, sunrises, moon rises, and went tidepooling right out the door. It's also located at the end of the town's "malecón" and is easy to get into the heart of Loreto on foot - Rooms. I found the rooms totally suitable. While they are not glamorously decorated, I felt they had everything we needed (dresser, closet, hangers, safe). The rooms were clean and housekeeping could be seen daily. The beds are on the harder side. Shampoo and conditioner provided. Hot water was abundant, wifi was sufficient for casual needs, and each room had TV and air-conditioning (yay) - Staff/service. We received excellent care from all the staff members (reception, restaurant, housekeeping). Most spoke very good English and did their best to meet our group's requests - Amenities. The pool is great and they have a gigantic hot tub that was very hot - Breakfast. Included, buffet style with good variety for our group, they kept the coffee refills coming - Culture. The owners and their staff really try to bring some of Mexico's culture to their guests. This is a family-owned operation and they're passionate about hospitality and tradition. For example, they do a clam bake every week. We also had the pleasure of taking a goat cheese making class. If you get a chance to engage more about cultural topics, I highly recommend it

After talking to cheap tickets no help even though they indicated we were due a refund. do not book. Loreto is great coming back next year. No problem with the town.. Nice hotels in town. We enjoyed our time there. But this policy is no bueno and there are other places to stay.
