There were no dive plans, no dive briefing, and I was later informed that the (very young-looking) person that I was told was my DM was 14 years old. Standing on the coral and providing single use plastic cups is not my idea of a good dive boat. They did make utterly fantastic guacamole, but that's not a reason to pick a dive shop.

Recommend that Wild Loreto try a different restaurant by the mission for lunch. The sunset boat tour was very nice. The catamaran is very small & seating is not the most comfortable but you get fantastic views of the mountains & shoreline. Food was very minimal but fine - chips, salsa, guac, cheese,fruit, & burritos. Drinks were beer, tequila, & rum. No wine - I was very disappointed with the no wine.

The company picked us up right in Nopoló and drove us to the marina, which made everything super convenient. The tour itself was beautiful--snorkeling was awesome, we got plenty of snacks and drinks (including alcohol), and lunch was simple but tasty with sandwiches provided. My only complaint is that they didn't have enough snorkeling gear for our group of 6. Thankfully, two of our people chose not to snorkel, otherwise it would have been a bigger issue. A little more preparation on that end would have made the experience perfect. That said, Carlos, Humberto, and our driver (sorry I forgot his name!) were fantastic--super kind, knowledgeable, and made the trip fun and educational. I would definitely book another tour with Wild Loreto. Just bring your own snorkel gear if you want to be 100% sure you're set!

We saw colorful nudibranchs, hundreds of reef fish, playful sea lions, and a moray eel! Our guide Orlando made us feel safe and comfortable diving, and our boat captain showed us pods of dolphins and leaping rays on our journey to the islands. We can't wait to come back again and are already looking forward to the next time!

He brings safety equipment like helmets, and he supplies shorties, scuba boots, water, lunch and sunscreen if you need it. This is not a beginner's hike, so plan accordingly. We hiked in Chacos and Tevas, which Said did not approve of, but we did fine. Holding boots would be best.

The first day was a trip out to the San Javier mission which was beautiful and there is so much history out in that area. Said was very knowledgeable on the history of the area and the mission which added so much to the experience. The next day we went on a snorkeling tour to Dazante and Carmen Islands. We saw dolphins and marlins swimming near the boat and went on hikes on both islands to see the beautiful views. Most of our group wasn't very familiar with snorkeling and he was very patient with explaining everything and taking time with each person to ensure they were comfortable. It was such an incredible experience and Said made sure on both days to ensure that everyone in our group was having a great time and went out of his way to make the experience as wonderful as possible. We also had some of the best food on both days of our trip with him. He took us to a great restaurant in San Javier and then we had the best ceviche and guacamole on the beach during our snorkel tour. I can't recommend Said enough and we're already working on planning our next trip to Loreto and Said will be the first person we reach out to once we know when it will be since we know he'll make sure to plan the best experience for our next excursion.

In the past used pangas - slow, uncomfortable, and direct sun - like a slow motion beating on the water. First time on a true fishing boat ... never go back to my old ways. We fished Marlin (catch and release) and lots of opportunities.

The people were friendly and welcoming. The lodging was modern, clean and first class at La Mision Hotel. Every meal was excellent or outstanding. Loreto is not Los Cabos. All of this became the backdrop to the jewel of the trip, a day of fishing and relaxation in the Sea of Cortez. Cast N' Reel provided an extremely comfortable and fast boat for our fishing adventure. By fast, I mean that we were able to fish in one day all of the locations that would have taken three day with the local panga boats. All of our needs were anticipated. Breakfast, snacks, lunch, soft drinks and Mexican beers were amply provided. I am a novice fisherman, so I really enjoyed having the perfect balance of coaching and mentoring when needed while also the opportunity to work things out on my own. It was difficult to remember that it was mid-December. The weather was perfect. We caught eleven fish of multiple varieties including grouper and cabrilla. While the marlin and yellowtail were elusive, we did see sea lions, dolphins, sea turtles and perhaps even the dorsal fin of a shy whale. At the end of our day, our catch was taken to one of the better dinner houses in Loreto and prepare in a variety different dishes. They were all wonderful. It would be difficult to have a better ending to our day.

The only red flag was that I had to make a payment through a link that was not under the Luxury Boat Tours name. Other than that, everything was absolutely perfect. Alberto (Pancho), the crew boss, stayed in contact with me by text from the time I booked until the moment we were picked up, which gave us a lot of confidence and made the entire process easy. We did a private sailboat excursion in St. Thomas in June, and while it was nice, this experience was on a completely different level. The boat was a large catamaran, and it was just my wife and me. The personal attention was outstanding. The crew went above and beyond to make sure every one of our needs was taken care of. Captain Alberto was not only an excellent captain, but he also prepared an incredible lunch. He diced and prepared all the food like a fine-dining sous chef. My wife does not eat seafood, so they prepared an amazing carne asada meal for her, while I enjoyed the seafood. The quality and quantity of the food were outstanding--we couldn't even finish it! From the moment the dinghy picked us up until we returned more than six hours later, everything was first-class. We spent the day snorkeling, cruising around the islands, and enjoying an experience that was truly top-notch. This was a 5-star experience, and we would 100% recommend Luxury Boat Tours to all of our friends and family. If you're considering a private boat experience, I would highly recommend them!

Eva showed me around the grounds and pointed out where we would find everything we needed. For example; they provide drinking water to refill your water pitcher and ice trays. She also shared a local map with me. On it she had highlighted the banks, grocery stores and recommend restaurants. While all this was happening, my boyfriend was talking with one of the owners Stephan. Turns out they grew up in the same neighborhood in Petaluma...small world in deed! Our room was clean, comfortable and all the amenities (air conditioning) we needed for an incredibly relaxing stay. There was a full kitchen with everything I needed to prepare coffee and breakfast in the mornings which we enjoyed on our own little porch with a view of the pool. Our room got checked daily, bed made and garbage taken out with full service half way through our stay. Daily full service can be requested as desired. The hotel has free WiFi, a book sharing area, 2 pools (1 heated, the other not), 2 bbq areas with outdoor eating areas, and pool are towels provided. The rooms also have TV with DVD players and CDs to check out from the office. We met great people here, many of them were repeat customers and we felt like we had joined an ongoing party. We've already made plans to return!

Dining room chairs make your teeth hurt when moved with the screeching noise of wood on tile.( Sounds like fingernails on blackboard on steroids!) Maybe a couple bikes, kayaks, a beach chair or two? C'mon, it's a very quiet place, give your renters a little something to do! Non-stop construction during the day is understandable except when everyone you talk to(owners/strangers) don't want Loreto to become the "next Cabo". The only time it's quiet is at night when there is very little to do in the development. Pools are lacking for a property this size and didn't find a hot tub. Abandoned buildings(The 'Batcave', nudge, nudge, wink, wink...) Great views from upper deck and fishing was great. Not quite enough to draw us back though.
