Our family contacted Masha when our daughter (young adult) needed a professional headshot for use on job / career-oriented websites. Masha replied promptly to our inquiry (made through her website) with a quick text including transparent (and very reasonable) pricing, and we easily scheduled an appointment. On the day of the session, Masha greeted us warmly and while professional, systematic and focused throughout, also included a sense of humor and levity to help put our daughter (and her mom) at ease for what can naturally be a stressful event. Masha knows how to draw out her subject in a fun but professional way, and that not only makes the process more enjoyable, it also shows in the results, which in our case included a host of candidate headshots with different angles, lighting and wardrobe in the mix. She led us through an efficient process to winnow the choices down to a few favorites, from which our daughter settled on the best option for her purposes. Finally, a couple of days after the shoot, Masha emailed a final, clean version of the headshot, asking if our daughter was happy with it or might like some additional editing (which she did not). Overall, our experience with Masha was fantastic and turned what seemed an unavoidable chore into something positive. My husband and I booked Masha for an engagement shoot (in October) and our wedding (April). We knew we'd love the opportunity to get to know Masha and her style but didn't know how much we would fall in love with her and our photos. We both cannot imagine a better experience and end result! For our engagement shoot, Masha and Rich drove us around LA to three different locations -- I had four costume changes. I still haven't been able to narrow it down to below 60 favorites. Wow! Masha's Photography was amazing!!! They went over and BEYOND for our wedding. We found Masha and Rich when we went to a Wedding Expo event and are so grateful that we did!!! We were blown away not only by their photos, but by their personalities! We totally meshed! We got their info and they met us a few months later at a coffee shop near our home so we could figure out what package we wanted. We didn't even interview any other photographers - there was no need! Masha did my boudoir photos as well and they were STUNNING! Never thought I could look like a model. ;-) Before the wedding, Masha and Rich were very communicative, so they could make sure they were going to be able to take the pictures we needed and wanted. Email, text, phone calls - whatever we needed! The day of the wedding they arrived early, around 9:30 am, so they could take photos of me when my hair and makeup and getting done. They took GREAT pictures of my husband getting ready as well, which was awesome because I think a lot of people forget about the grooms. They even had a hanger that said "Groom" on it to take a photo of his tux! Loved it!! What was really great about having two photographers (I can't recommend it enough) is that while we took pictures with Masha after the ceremony, Rich took pictures of cocktail hour - so we got all those great pictures of our family!! Masha and Rich continued to be amazing during the reception! They got all the photos we wanted, plus more! Their photo ideas were great! We searched for a year before we found Masha and were extremely lucky to come across her website and work. Finding a great photographer was very difficult. Her art was unlike anything I had ever seen, the words I can use are amazing, original, emotional, committed, professional and heartwarming. Masha would go on to incorporate her expertise, guidance and many consultations to helpfully navigate us through our beautiful (and often stressful) journey that lasted more than a year. Our story with photos is priceless and so beautiful to us. Once we did our engagement session we were hooked, we knew that each time she would photograph us the results would be spectacular. Ohh how my husband and I literally OWE Masha & Rich the biggest thank you for capturing the biggest moment in our love life history. They are seriously what made our special day magical. There's no question about that. Let's start with a simple phone call with Rich (her right hand man/husband.) We called just to set up a consult and he was magnificent to speak to. He was so positive and uplifting. And spoke so highly of Masha! Then when we met Masha, her entire person was peaceful and gracious. She was very professional yet extremely friendly. Very like-able, and something about her said book her! It was as if she knew all the moments we wanted captured on our big day, she knew we wanted creative works of art, and she knew we wanted intimate images. To be honest, Masha was so cool that we went home and ended up sending her a check in full. We knew we wanted her. Leading up to the wedding, we didn't really need to speak much to her. We created a Pinterest board and were able to send her the vibe we wanted. Then the night before we came up with our time frame for the next day and called it! DAY OF WEDDING! Masha was right on time (in fact, arrived before we did). Very classy and gracious. She spent the entire day with me! From the second I started getting my make up done, she was already shooting the dress, my shoes, EVERYTHING! Even though we were running behind on the time table, she kept me so calm. Her energy is seriously what started my entire day off. She kept me in such a great head space. She reminded me to drink water, have a snack, and most importantly to enjoy EVERY MOMENT. She had GREAT ideas and we followed her lead 100%. No questions. And if there was a moment I wanted her to capture she didn't hesitate to run over to me to take it. Then her husband came in and seriously, they are a power couple. The way the two of them work so well with each other is insane. It's like Masha would just look at Rich and he already had everything she needed. Ok, let's get to the pictures. WOW. Honestly, no other words or sounds. Just breathless WOW. The two of them made my husband and I feel like Vogue models, like celebrities, and like we were meant to be in front of the camera for life. Her direction was very easy to listen to, her ideas and posing was so on point, and she was able to get every single family member a photo. Actually, she was able to get a picture with my husband and I and EVERY GUEST! (Granted, we had an intimate wedding.) She was able to handle a ton of people at one time, people just jumping in, people saying hi while taking pictures (yeah that happens,) and kept her cool. This review truly isn't even saying enough on how much we love Masha and Rich. The started off as strangers, and by the end of night they have become true friends in our hearts. There are no words to accurately describe how we feel about Masha and Rich. 1st off, our engagement photos.... They far exceeded our expectations and I honestly felt so proud of them as I've never seen engagement photos turn out so good. They were willing to work with us on our 3 locations, even though they ranged from downtown LA to south Orange County. They went above and beyond to make sure our shoot ran smoothly and that we were comfortable in front of the camera. Now for our wedding. Without Masha and Rich running the show, our day would have been complete chaos. Instead, Masha kept me calm and re-assured me that everything was going to be okay when we were way off schedule (due to other reasons). Masha and Rich were with us from 10:30AM to 1:30AM the next morning. Our wedding happened to be during a massive, record-breaking heat wave, and yet it didn't bother them. Our family was so impressed by Masha and Rich (especially once they realized they were behind our masterpiece engagement photos) that they thought we had spent a fortune on them. I reassured them that we hadn't and that they were just that awesome to stay with us for so long. My family members told us the next day how much fun Rich was as he went around and took candid photos of all of our guests. The next afternoon, we already had 19 sneak peak photos sent to us by Masha, even though I didn't request them. I thought that this was awesome. Although we haven't gotten all of our photos back yet, our sneak peaks were enough to let us know that our wedding photos are going to be incredible. I can't say enough about them and my best friend is using them for their wedding as well, so I am happy to work with them again. I like to think of Masha and Rich as the Tim McGraw and Faith Hill of photography; A rockstar power couple that can deliver an amazing album you'll love for the rest of your life. I was first introduced to Masha when we worked a wedding of a mutual client. I did the clients bridal hair and Masha did the photography. When we booked Larry from Diamond DJ's for our daughters wedding at Tivoli Too, he asked us if we had a photographer.. At this point we had talked with a few but hadn't hired one yet. While planning for my wedding, I had told myself that I would not compromise for anything to have the best wedding photographer possible. Like all wedding couples, I did have a budget in mind for a photographer, and while walking through several bride shows, I hadn't see a photographer that made me say "that's my photographer"; I was beginning to lose hope and was going to settle for a decent photographer at a price within my budget. However, while attending one of the last bridal shows just as I was going to call it quits thinking I wouldn't find what I need in the last few aisles of the show, I came across Masha's Photography in the last aisle and one of her images capture my eye and I couldn't stop looking at it because it was so beautiful and unique. I started talking to Rich and Masha about what they had to offer and getting to know them a bit. I walked away feeling, these are the people I want as my photographer. It took a bit of convincing with my husband because it was quite a bit more than what we had budgeted for a photographer but I told him I wasn't backing down because I wasn't compromising on the photographer; we had to find a way to have Masha, if it meant getting the basics on everything else for the wedding. Not only were we able to have Masha as our wedding photographer; we also added on an engagement session, which really allowed us to learn about how they worked and gave Masha and Rich the opportunity to learn about who we were as a couple, making our wedding day even more special because they knew our personality and style so they could capture those special moments. I came across Masha's website while we were looking for wedding photographers online and knew right away she was the real deal. She's definitely in the same league as the pros, but she charges probably about 1/3 of the price. On my wedding day, Masha and Rich showed up for make-up at 7am and didn't leave until the reception was over around 11pm. They took pictures the whole time, I don't think I ever saw them eat! The photos turned out way better than I ever expected. Masha really knows how to use light and angles to make sure you look awesome, even if you're not the most photogenic person. She's very patient and professional and her confidence in her work is really reassuring. She may have you striking some weird poses but I trusted that the picture would always turn out great (and it did)! Soooooo much love for Masha and Rich!! My sister and I met them at a wedding convention and instantly connected. They did the engagement shoot for my husband and I, our wedding and then our maternity shoot!! They are so fun and easy to work with and made us feel so comfortable. We're not big posers but Masha knew all the right things to say to get us looking our best and Rich is always there to fix a stray hair or move a branch out of the way to make sure you get the perfect shot. We consider them family now and enjoy catching up whenever we can. As an artist, I had a very specific vision for my wedding photographer and I was very picky when looking through portfolios. I met with my DJ (Diamond DJ's Entertainment) and when I mentioned I didn't have a photographer, I was given Masha's information. I looked through all of the photos on her site, her facebook, and her instagram before deciding I would reach out and when I heard back from her I was not disappointed! She works with her husband, Rich, who is her biggest fan and cheerleader, and they do absolutely everything they can to make your day amazing. Masha and Rich are both super responsive, either by text or email, and are super understanding when things start to get a little crazy and you forget to reply back to them immediately (I know this from personal experience, haha). We had a very exciting engagement shoot and Masha was all for it, giving ideas and staging beautiful shots along the way. She took my vision and added her own spin on it and created an absolutely amazing set of photos. We shot for hours and she was energetic through the whole thing. For the day of the wedding, Masha spent the morning with me until we prepared for the first look and she went to the hotel with Rich to photograph the boys. The first look was staged beautifully, the group shots at the venue were fun and enjoyable to shoot, and the family photos taken during cocktail hour were done quickly. During the ceremony, I didn't even notice her but I knew she was running around getting every shot. During the reception, I would catch her running around but she was so fast and got the shots quickly and moved on. And even at the end of the day after everything was packed I wanted to get some selfies with the hubby and she pulled out her cameras to take some final shots for us and also stage our thank you card photo. By extra mile I mean climb trees, straddle over rivers to get the right shot, and they don't cap you on a certain amount of hours. Masha and Rich are wonderful. Masha has an eye that just can not be explained in words. Her photos look airbrushed and "fake"... but they are far from it! It's Masha's ability to see a wonderful venue and to place the bride and groom in just the right spot with just the right light... and you can see results! Just perfection!! Having a married couple take photos is a great idea. Rich (who did great second camera work) was always willing to make sure the groom is involved in the process as well. Lastly, they recommended... and we agreed that a "first look" is the way to go! Not only is there more time for pictures with family after the ceremony (because all the couple shots are done already) but the first look takes away a lot of the anxiety of seeing your bride come down the aisle. Without all the anxiety (because I already saw my beautiful bride) I was able to focus on her and the ceremony more. If you are looking for an amazing photographer, just stop here. My wife and I recently booked Masha and her husband Rich for our wedding this past September. They did a fantastic job and we have so many beautiful photos of our day. I worked with Masha's Photography twice and each time it was an amazing experience. First time I did a portrait session and the second time my husband and I did a couple session for our 10th wedding anniversary. Both times Masha was fantastic to work with. Before each shoot there was a consulting session when Masha and I discussed my/our expectations and other details such as locations, outfits, makeup, etc. Masha explained what to expect and how to prepare for the shoot. She patiently responded to our questions and guided us through the entire process. She is very friendly and personable. She wanted to get to know me/us and what I/we like to do and spend time together so I/we look comfortable and natural in the pictures. The sessions were so much fun!! We laughed a lot, walked a lot and got wet from running on the beach. It was absolutely perfect! The pictures turned out fantastic!! They are more than what we hoped for. Masha is absolutely amazing!! We looked long and hard for a photographer that we felt comfortable with who's work we loved. Masha was that and so much more. She exceeded all of our expectations while making us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. Both our engagement session and wedding pictures were absolutely beautiful and artistic. We picked an unusual place for our engagement session and were far more uncomfortable in front of the camera than we thought we would be. This had the potential to be a total disaster for us but Masha did her thing. She was patient with us and made magic happen. We first met Masha through a venue we were looking at. She was the first photographer that we had talked to and I loved her work already! The pictures were important to me so I went home that night and researched a couple other photographers in the area. At that moment, I knew Masha was the one! Her work was outstanding and really caught the feeling of the moment. She did our pictures for our engagement, wedding, destination session/trash the dress, my boudoir session, and then my maternity pictures. Each session was a great experience, and she went above and beyond what we expected. She was very helpful when we were preparing for the engagement shoot and made us have fun and feel comfortable during the shoot. She spent so much time with us and really took some of the most incredible shots. Our wedding day was no different and our pictures turned out stunning! When we did our destination session; Masha had an idea to jump into the pool. So we did it! We will never forget the reaction we got from those pictures from our friends and family. They couldn't believe we actually jumped in. This session was so much fun doing and was the "cherry on top" of our wedding celebration. I don't even know where to begin! My husband and I are beyond satisfied with Masha's work. From the moment we met her and her husband Rich we could see how passionate they were about what they do! They listened to everything we wanted and answered all of our questions. Immediately after we signed our contract Masha began communicating with me to get more ideas as to what we wanted and just to see how the wedding plans were coming along. A few months before the wedding she went to check out the church where my ceremony would be taking place as well as my venue to make sure she was prepared by knowing where to stand and what angles would be best to shoot from. I wasn't sure which park I wanted to take pictures at so Masha and Rich went out of their way to check out the 3 parks I had in mind and suggested the one they thought was best and worked with our time frame. During the wedding she was amazing!!!!!! She worked really hard to get ever shot we wanted considering we had 300 guest! She didn't give us a time limit and stayed until all of our requested shots were taken! After the wedding we had a destination shoot. They went out of their way once again to make sure the image I had in my mind was portrayed in my photos. My photos were amazing! From the wedding and my destination shoot we are IN LOVE with her work! Anyone would be fortunate to work with Masha and Rich! They are not just GREAT photographers but they aim to make your day perfect and stress free! They build a relationship with you which makes the experience so much more pleasant!
