Some activities for the kids like a bounce house and some photo booth options to take pictures for a nominal fee in cleopatra type outfits. Inside the church, there were presentations about the history of the church, which was awesome since many like myself might not know much about the Coptic religion. I appreciated the informational pamphlets as well. I highly recommend visiting this church and supporting their next festival.

There's a Buddhist Cultural Center just by Paderwski and Fillmore. New. Nice Welcome sign. The statue is new as are some smaller ones near it. The building is an older one but looks to have had some window work done recently. They are doing some landscaping here too. And fixing up the back wall. This looks to be a nice addition to the neighborhood. There's some parking here, street and lot.

In addition, the moderator gave the audience facts about Jewish people in baseball, such as how many Jewish owners, managers and players have been part of baseball through the years. It was a lovely concert. After the concert, there was a baseball themed reception in the auditorium. Hot dogs and veggie dogs had been grilled. Bags of potato chips and ice cream/frozen treats were offered in addition to the cotton candy machine!

I have visited the Lady of Fatima Shrine a few times. The…read morefirst time I visited it was overwhelming emotionally and spiritually for me. I spent a few hours attending Mass, and visiting the sanctuary and the different little chapels. The gardens with all the Saints statues and the flowers are awesome. There are plenty of benches to sit and linger in prayer and thought. The Shrine is beautiful, serene, peaceful. The shape of the chapel is a dome, with the statue of the Virgin on the very top. One can climb by side to the top. The dome is decorated like part of the world. North America, Caribbean, Europe, Asia. The Faithful is a representation of the world map depicted on the dome
