We ordered take out and were not disappointed. The chicken street tacos were huge- so much meat in each one it could be two meals! The taquitos with chicken tinga really hit the spot and the quesadillas were super good

Really good food. Great birria tacos. My combo was about 15 with tax. I thought it was slightly expensive. The food is really great though. Service is good not amazing or super welcoming. The place is in a shopping mall, steel table and chairs. I felt like I was in a place in Mexico City. The salsa bar could be better maintained.

Not kidding when I agree these are best tacos in the valley. I only tried the chicken tinga tacos but the meat quality is very good and soooo much flavor. I eat out often and have tried a lot of different tacos in phoenix, these are my favorite. friendly staff and quick service too. This is gonna be my new taco spot.

My first thoughts are to take heed when the nice lady who runs the place states, "the barbacoa is a teeny bit spicy!"... If you know me I live things a bit spicy but holy moly's this beef was spicy! On a scale with one being the lowest and then being the highest, these were an easy seven. I was so proud of my wife for eating two of her three barbacoa tacos. She mentioned she was so hungry from the morning hike that she thinks she just hammered them down so quickly she didn't even realize how spicy the tacos were. The store is in a rather large community,l but feels off the beaten path due to it's located behind a larger building. If you love authentic Mexican food then this is the place to try. We've been here once before so we must like to go here while in Phoenix. I've included pics from both visits.

A big five stars for the service here, especially Miguel, who went above and beyond in helping me with a strictly vegetarian order. He was patient and understanding and then went and crushed some excellent tacos! We were in the area and stopped in for a bite, having completely forgotten that it was a Tuesday (read: Taco Tuesday). We took advantage of their 5 tacos for $10.99 special, and Miguel and his crew crafted some delicious eats. The tacos were fresh and flavorful, and you could still feel the heat from the flattop on those tasty tortillas. All of the ingredients were fresh, though the cream and guacamole stood out. A big thank you to Miguel for the amazing customer service. Wish more places had a Miguel of their own.

I wish I could tell you what tacos I ate but I asked them to give me a variety and it was awesome. I threw a scoop of each of the hotter salsas on my rice and beans and they were fantastic and super hot. The luchador vibes and music were perfect and the staff very kind. You should really check this out.

A nice Mexican taco shop with a very friendly staff. I ordered the steak breakfast burrito and it was pretty good and it was 11 dollars. I got everything in it and it's definitely a more unique breakfast burrito due to some of the add ins. They have a really good sauce selection and it's at a sauce bar so I ate there and it was a very pleasant experience, nice inside.

So glad they're finally in my part of town!! Since I'm working from home my visits to the Tempe location have been scarce! What a surprise to see them here!! I ordered the vinaigrette chicken tacodillas- a little spicy. I'm home now about to tear into my meal! First bite of the tacodilla- no fireworks. It looks pretty though!! But meh tasting. So with my order it came with rice and beans. The rice was gummy and the pinto beans were basic basic beans. I have to say I'm a bit disappointed.

Delicious I have passed this little shop dozens of times but never havevstopped. So, today, I thought I'd give Maskadores Taco Shop a try. The interior is very unique, decorated with a luchador theme and the restaurant is very clean and the staff friendly and accomdating. On this visit we shared barbacoa and pastor tacos, rice, beans, cheese quesadilla, horchata and jamaica. The pastor tacos were amazing and the barbacoa tacos was just as good. The meats were tender not chewy, like at other places, and everything was very flavorful. The horchata and jamaica were delicious and tasted home made. Great service, delicious food, wallet friendly pricing. Stop by you won't be disappointed.

When I got married we had Tscos Huicho come at the end of our reception and served up street tacos to all of our inebriated friends and family. It was a hit! Literally nobody remembers the formal dinner meal we ate, but everyone remembers DEM TACOS! I'm not sure if they still do catering, but if they do, it is a fun crowd pleaser and affordable. The location is weird, like in a neighborhood. Just keep driving--you'll see it, but the first time I went there I thought I was lost and finally spotted it! They've remodeled and expanded the eating area which is great because before it was so busy and you felt crammed, but don't go expecting some high end taco shop. I felt like the fanciest person there when I went since I went on my lunch break in business casual. Honestly I don't care as long as the tacos keep coming out bomb.

I believe the only option for parking is to find street parking. I don't think they have a parking lot, unless I missed it. I tried their Costra taco, which is a beef taco with caramelized cheese, and it was amazing! I also tried the chicken taco, which was good. For a drink, I had their Strawberry-Lemonade Agua Fresca, and it was really good as well. Desserts don't count while you're on a business trip, right? So, I ended up ordering the Tres Leches de Coco, and it was absolutely amazing. It wasn't overly sweet at all and felt surprisingly light. The only thing I didn't like about this place was the restroom situation. You have to grab a key from the restaurant and walk outside to a restroom a few restaurants over. The restroom itself also had a few broken items, some light graffiti here and there, etc., which took away from the overall experience a little. Overall, I'd highly recommend the Costra taco and Tres Leches de Coco!

After taking a very short-lived walk through Roosevelt Row (it was HOT outside), I needed food and refreshment. I stopped into Taco Chelo and grabbed a seat at the bar. Lucky me, it was also happy hour. I ordered a frozen peach margarita and a variety of tacos. The star of the show for me was their fish tacos. Amazing! Even better, you could see the tortillas being freshly made. I don't know about you, but to me, the fresher the tortilla, the better the food tastes. My bartender was attentive and although the margaritas were frozen, they still snuck up on me. Taco Chelo is a very casual spot. A lot of people were enjoying watching sports at the bar. When in Phoenix again, I'd definitely return.

Greedy kids also split one of my Sope's seeing how I hyped it up... and left crumbs!!! Salsa bar is located in the corner and labeled so you don't go blazin hot unexpectedly with a salsa. For the adults, we decided to go with the Asada Fries for the group to share, the Mulitas with Carne Asada, Steet taco combo with rice & beans, horchata's and of course a Margarita (or 2) It was a bit to hot for the patio our front that evening, and they do have a another one out back. The only downside was that that bathroom was down for the night so we didn't hang out for a round 2.

Sometimes the best meals happen because your original plan falls through. That was exactly the case…read morehere, and honestly... I'm not even a little mad about it. I ordered the veggie tacos with roasted sweet potatoes (skin on, which was absolutely the right call), pepitas, feta, and all the right toppings. Whoever prepped those sweet potatoes deserves a raise because they were cut into the perfect sized pieces. Every bite had a little sweetness, a little crunch, a little saltiness... it just worked. My dining partner ordered the barbacoa tacos, and I didn't even have to ask if they were good. The involuntary "Mmm..." after the first bite answered that question. Four tacos disappeared in record time, followed by, "I could've eaten two more." That's about as glowing of a review as you're going to get. Now let's talk about these tortillas. Handmade. Corn. Tortillas. Are you kidding me? They're the kind of tortillas that had me question every tortilla I've ever eaten. Soft, fresh, and somehow they manage to steal the spotlight even with everything else on the plate being so good. The chips and guacamole were excellent, too. The chips have to be made in-house and they disappeared at an alarming rate. The salsa that came with them had this smoky, fire-roasted, chipotle flavor that kept me reaching for another chip... and then another... and then suddenly I realized I'd eaten way more chips than I intended. The bottled table salsas deserve their own paragraph because they completely confused me... in the best way. They bring three to the table... a green, a red, and a darker red. I kept tasting them individually thinking, "Okay, these are alright." Then I started mixing them. Game over. On their own, each one was solid. Mixed together? That was the magic. I don't know if that's what they intended or if I accidentally stumbled onto the perfect combination, but from that point on, every taco got the salsa trio treatment. The only tiny hiccup was when we first walked in. We were greeted, asked if we wanted menus, and sat ourselves. We waited for a bit thinking someone would come take our order, only to realize it's actually counter service. Once we figured that out, everything was smooth sailing. Not a big deal at all... just something first-time visitors might want to know. Follow the sign "order here" I also loved the layout. You can actually watch them making the food, which somehow makes the wait even harder because everything smells incredible. Two tacos ended up being the perfect light meal for me. Could I have eaten ten? Absolutely. Those two statements can both be true. Meanwhile, my dining partner polished off four barbacoa tacos and was talking about ordering two more. We only ended up here because another place happened to be closed, and honestly, I'm glad it worked out that way. This ended up being one of those meals we keep talked about on the drive home. Oh and the bathrooms?. I walked in and immediately thought, "Whoa... this is a cool bathroom" The lighting had this pinkish-purple glow that made me feel like I'd accidentally wandered into a trendy lounge instead of a taco shop. I honestly wasn't even sure there was regular lighting in there and I didn't look... because the vibe seemed so intentional. Finally, the music. .. upbeat, dance-worthy, the kind that had me bouncing in my seat while waiting for my food. Between the atmosphere, the lighting, and the music, the whole place had me want to hang out a little longer. Zero regrets. I'll absolutely be back... and next time I'm ordering more tacos.
