I had paid in full with care credit. They said I could finish the procedure at the alamo heights office with another Doctor. I did so. However, I keep getting a bill for $1700.00. I paid my original contract in full $10,000.00 after insurance. And to top it off, one of my implants just fell out after approximately 3 weeks. Needless to say, I am VERY DISAPPOINTED.

They dutifully take a lot of x rays of your teeth, the full mouth scan and then they place you in a room, alone with images of what they have scanned. It took me a while to realize that what I was looking at was my mouth because my teeth looked absolutely terrible. They use some kind of weird lighting trick to make your teeth look very yellowed. My teeth are not that horrible and are nice to look at. I wrote on their sheet that I was overall pleased with my smile. Then after viewing that screen for a while, about four females came into the room and said I had heavy bone loss and their clinic couldn't even do a routine cleaning. They wanted to refer me to a bone specialist like the specialist could restore my bones! They also talked about dentures and I flat out told them, I would NOT be receiving dentures. Oh, and another thing. At the end of the visit, they give you a looooong list of things you can buy or procedures you can have done to your mouth. I looked at the final cost and it was about four thousand dollars. Yup! You read that right. I will never return.

Relayed information to a different call ctr rep, but for some reason it didn't make it to the local branch. Received call from original call ctr rep the day before to confirm my 0900 appt time thinking everything was kosher. Got to the branch for my appt, check in, and find that my insurance info was missing. Anyway, stuff had to get done, receptionist said it would take approx. 40-45 min to get the insurance info, 0900 turned into 1000, 1000 turned into 1100, by that time I'm getting hungry and ready for lunch, but remembered that you're not suppose to eat or drink after the fluoride treatment. I get that this is my first time to this branch, paperwork is needed, insurance, yada, yada, yada...but as seamless as it "was" to set the appt, I was hoping for a smooth visit. First impressions? Facility, lobby and office are nice and clean. Bummer I couldn't get in at my appointed time. Hurry up fluoride treatment, I'm starving!

She gave me an appointment card with the date May 29 @ 5:00 I arrived on time and the supposible office manager and another reception told me I was late and my daughters appointment was at 4:30 when I showed them the reminder card and told them the lady in the back gave me a card for today and scheduled the appointment for 5:00 this date. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND BRIDENT ON AUSTIN HIGHWAY TO ANYONE nor would I RECOMMEND BRIDENT next to the North Stsr Mall. There staff is terrible. I would definitely give both these 2 dentist offices a 1 or a 0. They need better customer service, they need to ANSWER the phones and customers, if the back office were the dentist works schedules they appointment the front office and the back office should COMMUNICATE.

I had a consultation with Dr. Holtquist who explained everything in great detail and warned me of any complications that could arise. A few days before my surgery, the office let me know that Dr. Holtquist had a personal matter to attend to and that Dr. Medley would be performing my surgery The day of surgery I walked in nervous and was quickly put at ease with the warmth and kindness of Dr. Medley. It was honestly the easiest and best experience I've had with a surgery. I was sedated for 99% of the procedure and only remember him telling me when they were moving on to my next tooth. About a week later, I started to have some pain in one area and called the office. Abby was extremely helpful in getting me scheduled for a follow up the next day. Dr. Medley explained everything he would do again and packed my socket with some medicated gauze which took all of 3 minutes and quelled my pain within 15 minutes. I cannot rave enough about this office, the helpful staff, or Dr. Medley. If anyone every needs a recommendation, this will be the office I tell them about.

In the two days post surgery, I started feeling severe pain, assuming I may have a dry socket, called the office and was accommodated even on a holiday, which truly meant the world to me. OVERALL (5-stars) I feel that my overall experience deserved…read more5-stars due to the actual professionalism and expertise of the dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth, and her assistants. Her service from beginning to end definitely made up for some small things that occurred at check-in time. For that I want to send out a much deserved, "THANK YOU" to a very professional, patient, and expert hygienist -- "Christina" for taking such great care of me and my son. WAITING ROOM (3-1/2 stars) The waiting room is stylishly decorated with modern seating, a mini fridge full of bottled water, and a Keurig. However, I found the furniture arrangement a bit disconcerting. After opening the door to the waiting room to enter, I was greeted by two chairs back to back, set in the center of the floor. I had to walk around them to make it to the desk, and it left me wondering how awkward it would have been if they had been occupied by waiting patients. The waiting room is a bit narrow, so I can see how that arrangement may be the only way those extra chairs could be added, but I definitely found it awkward. CHECK-IN (3-1/2 stars) Admittedly, things were a bit confusing at check-in, as I guess I was supposed to do a bit more to arrange the delivery of my x-rays from my former provider; however, the staff was eager to help and worked around that situation until I could get in touch with my former dentist to have the x-rays sent over. NHD explained that they'd recommend that we wait to have my records sent over, so that I wouldn't repeat any services that I'd already received, and avoid being charged by my insurance provider. I definitely felt as if they were looking out for my best interests, despite any inconveniences to their scheduling. E-DOCUMENTS & E-SIGN (4-stars) I completed the necessary 'paperwork' on an iPad, which was convenient and easy -- very user-friendly. Then, I was called up to the front to sign after verbally listening to more policies. I would recommend that a very simple "what to expect" be given to each new patient when they arrive -- something like, "So, we will have you fill out the majority of the paperwork on the iPad, then call you up to have you e-sign a couple of additional items. Once that is completed, we will be calling you back right away." I am not an audible learner, and would have appreciated a screen to look at while the receptionist read the document that I was expected to sign. CLEANING & TREATMENT (5+++ stars) Since this is what really matters, I've decided that this is the most important piece and what I based the 5-stars overall on. The dental tech was polite and professional, and she quickly answered all of my questions. Once my x-rays were completed, I was greeted by a polite, confident, and professional dental hygienist, named Christina, who proceeded to examine and clean my teeth. She used some really amazing new technology, which really expedited the process. Rather than slowly, hand-scraping coffee stains from my teeth, she employed a dental pressure-washer of sorts, that essentially cut the time in half -- not to mention the icky, scraping sounds, and feelings from hand-scraping. EXPLANATION OF BENEFITS AND CHARGES (5+ stars) Once she was finished, the dentists came right in and confirmed that I did need a filling. When I requested to have an appointment for that ASAP, they were happy to accommodate me early the following week without question. Additionally, another front office staff member was at the ready to explain what my charges for the filling were going to look like. She broke down the explanation of benefits, and what they expected the insurance to cover and what I was expected to pay out of pocket. I found this very helpful, and appreciated the detail. The staff member covering this portion of my visit was also professional and engaging, and I really enjoyed my conversation with her as well, despite the fact that I don't remember her name. RECOMMENDATION I would definitely recommend NH Dental to my friends and family, and I feel fortunate to have found them!
