Went for a simple oil change. Got a call that I needed a tail light bulb also that my water pump was leaking and something else. The oil change & light bulb wound up costing about $ 180.00. I will never go back to them. The water pump wou cost almost $ 600.00. I worked at a mechanic shop where I ve from so a timing belt should also be changed at t same time. I'm sure that if I had the water pump replaced a couple months later they would say I needed a timing belt and charged me for replacing the belt which should have been replaced when they replaced the water pump. read more

Has car in for A/C problem, found that it was low on refrigerant only and did a check for leaks with none found. Could have told me other issues but was up front and honest. Truly a great place to do business with. read more

This was my first time to use Mason's. It was super crowded there so I was expecting a long wait for my car to be fixed. Abut an hour later I got a call saying my leaking water and check engine issue was a windshield washer pump. About an hour after that I got another call that it was ready. The cost was less than I expected and the mechanic even talked to me saying he was happy that the hoses were still in good shape. Mason's is now my go to place for car repairs. read more

Based on my experience, taking my Jeep there for a wheel alignment, I would recommend this place. They did a good job and had the vehicle ready when they told me they would. Great shop for your car. We have our 1993 Miata and 2021 Subaru Outback serviced there. Prices realistic, quality of work is excellent and they will provide referrals for work they do not do. No way you can go wrong with them. They are so good it can take a while to get your car in for service/maintenance so that should tell you something! read more

women beware! the first time i went in they were very nice and hardly charged for repair, so i thought i had found a good mechanic. well, the second time i went in they charged me $100. for a $20 repair and pretended it took 1 hour to fix but only took 10 minutes. i won't go back again. read more

This is the real HONEST shop in Port Orange, not the other one. LOL!! The repair needed is always explained, questions answered and the cost of the repair explained. No surprises. Lex is a knowledgable mechanic and he answeres my questions regarding the issue at hand and what needs to be done. Some repairs can wait others cannot. Had a brand new experience in Port Orange the other day, my water pump on my C3500 went bad. What makes it a new experience is that I'm a 66 year old automotive shop owner in Naples Florida very far away from my tool box. This time I was a customer, drop my truck tell them my complaint sign the work order and wait for the call. The service and attention to detail was off the chart. Fixed my water pump problem and pointed out some future attractions under my hood. Yes even mechanics car's break occasionally with no warning. I have heard multiple car repair stories in the Daytona beach/Volusia county area that were just nightmares --fixed by people who were cutting edges or just did not know what they were doing or holding onto a car for much longer than expected. Some of the stories would blow your mind. Watering down fluids, not putting in the right part and instead repairing using a make-shift (cheaper) part (in one scenario-it was a coat hanger)! Mason's has consistently proven to me that they are not that kind of a company. They clearly have identified, explained and fixed the problems correctly for me on multiple occasions over the 8 years of my vehicles life thus far. I have tried 1 or 2 other repair places over the years but I come right back here every time. Don't waste your time looking at other car repair places, these guys KNOW their stuff! I have also NEVER had to return after any of the repairs. --and none of the issues I have ever had are even slightly related to the other. This shop is AAA approved, so right off the bat you know they can be trusted. This also happens to be the best repair shop I've ever been to. I had the misfortune of breaking down out of state. However, Bruce Mason made sure that I was okay during the whole ordeal. He and Rob went above and beyond their duties. Bruce offered to give me and my companion a ride across the bridge since he was headed that way anyway. He told us to go to the beach while the car was getting fixed. He then spent a majority of the next day on the phone hashing it out with people so that I could get a discount (it was a recurring problem). When the car was done, Rob not only dumbed down for me what was wrong with the car, but also took his time to explain why it had happened by showing me the part from my car. The people of this establishment are friendly and thoughtful people. I had a wonderful experience here. read more
