We…read morewere totally amazed from the moment we entered the lobby (decorated like Oz, complete with themed concessions and treats). The costumes and sets were beautiful and the performers were extremely talented. It was hard to believe they were only in 3rd-8th grades! My children have enjoyed participating in musical theatre classes and three fully-staged musicals. Their favorite things about Stage Kids WA are: 1) The teachers, stage manager, and director never "baby" the kids but treat them like responsible and capable performers. 2) The opportunity to make lifelong friendships. 3) FUN! As a parent, my favorite things about Stage Kids WA are: 1) Watching my children grow in confidence and ability. 2) New friendships with other Stage Kids parents. 3) The chance to use my skills and strengths as a volunteer. The executive Director, Michelle McCormick, and the rest of the staff are extremely warm and welcoming. I highly recommend Stage Kids as a fun and noncompetitive way to get involved in musical theatre.

This dance studio doesn't care for their students as much as others I've been to. They are quite…read moreexpensive, they choose favorites, and in formations of their dances they don't choose who deserves to be in front, they choose who is the shortest. This way that short girl is ALWAYS front and center. The ballet teacher is very sweet and kind, but all of the other teachers do t actually teach anything but the choreography. They don't teach vocabulary(plié, fouetté, grande jetté...etc) so most girls won't be able to excel in college because you can't get to college without knowing your vocabulary. Anyway, overall this studio is rude to other studios and cheats at competitions. Their "nationals" are run by the owner's daughter.

Our show was sold out. Not a bad seat in the house. Live band. Local production. Very well done. Might want to bring a light jacket for when the sun is setting. Once the show was over, you make your way down the hill or take the shuttle bus again. By the time you get out of the amphitheater and into your car, it's clear sailing out of there. All in all, a very pleasant way to spend a Leavenworth summer evening. Might want to get tickets in advance as we did.

Unfortunately, I made a mistake when booking and my tickets are for this Friday instead of next Friday. I made a mistake, yes. However, when I called, they said it's their policy to not correct mistakes or even exchange the tickets. So, I'm out $95 because they don't want to move the tickets to the night I could go. The tickets are during a sold out night. The two tickets would sell in a heartbeat, but they are not willing do anything. This will be my third visit, actually my fourth since we are seeing two separate shows two nights in a row. I will never make this mistake again, but I won't return now. I think this policy is horrible and I will now boycott them. They get 5 stars for the shows and venue because the talent is truly great. They get 1 star for terrible customer service. I met both in the middle with a 3 star review.
