A nurse came in before I was discharged and wanted to check my baby's heart rate she searched for 15 mins in the wrong area and then the doctor came in and told me they couldn't find one so there isn't one and that I need to see my Obstetrician as soon as possible. When I asked for an ultrasound another nurse stated that they don't have the technology then stated that there's no one to read it and had an attitude with me and my mom and was very rude. This hospital visit was very traumatizing and I don't even want to go back if I absolutely have to.

From sore throats to serious heart conditions, every medical issue is an important one to us here at Massac Memorial. We understand that while a child with a high fever, painful ear infection, and sleepless parents may not warrant a trip to the emergency room, treating that child is just as important to us as treating a trauma patient in dire need. This is one of the many reasons we have expanded our primary care program with the addition of the Massac Memorial Medical Clinic. We offer many of the same state-of-the-art facilities and specialized physicians as larger hospitals with a close-to-home convenience that cant be matched. We place great importance on maintaining a high nurse-to-patient ratio with low, to non-existent wait times. Our services reflect our high standards in satisfying the ever-changing demands of the modern healthcare industry, as well as our enduring commitment to quality patient care. Thank you to all who have trusted us with your care over the years. We know youve always had options when choosing to whom you turn for your healthcare needswe hope you will continue choosing Massac Memorial Hospital.

When Dr. Bobo entered the room, the first thing he wanted to do was a breast and pelvic exam, despite the fact that I had already informed the nurse that this was not the reason for my visit and that those exams were not needed. Rather than listening to my concerns, I felt dismissed throughout the appointment. The issues I came in to discuss were minimized and described as not really necessary, and I left without any answers, guidance, treatment plan, or meaningful discussion about the symptoms I had been experiencing. When I told him I've been dealing with infertility for 8 years and I'm wanting answers, he told me "answers aren't really necessary, you can just do IVF" I informed him we couldn't do that option due to costs. So he said "well hope for the best then". At that point, I informed him that I was ending the appointment and wished to leave.

I could not put my shoe on. My husband was carrying it. No this is a knee replacement i had done and my surgery has nothing to do with my foot. Now i had my other knee done in Wisconsin where we were living. Now getting knee done the bandage should go on the knee not the leg all the was to my foot. It was falling off. I was going to send a daisy award to a nurse but she saw my bandage coming off and did NOTHING. When I got home the bandage never came up to the knee. They left all the way down near my foot. I would to see who actually put this on. After taking gauge off there was not a bandage on at all. I wonder if this was someone trying to get the cub scout ot brownie trying to get there first aid badge. I am really hoping I don't have to go to this hospital again. I do want to say two week before I hand surgery and my hand was wrapped us perfectly. What happen to my knee I really do not know. Go back and looking at your footage where I could not wear my shoe. All these nursing g seeing this and did nothing BAD HOSPITAL DO NOT GO THERE.

My complaint concerns patient care and nursing care. As a 24+ year RN, I found the nursing care at…read morethis hospital to be terrible. These young nurses don't seem to understand that their care consists of the whole patient. And forget about being able to prioritize care or think critically. It is very concerning to me and scarry as can be. I just spent a week in there and had three (3) back surgeries during that time. There were many times I would have to wait 1-1.5 hours for pain meds. I never got them on time, but when I would ask for them, you would think that I asked for their souls. I thank God that I no longer work in Healthcare because it seems like care and compassion are looked down upon as well as complete patient care. There's no way I could have worked like that. Good personal care is a thing of the past as far as I can tell. I just pray that I never have to be in a hospital again. Y

My nephew was given meds for a swollen ankle. The proper test weren't done and trays the symptoms worsened he went to Mercy Health in Paducah_KY. They investigated further and had him airlifted to St. Louis University where he was scheduled for immediate surgery. My mom was told she had fluid on the lungs that required immediate removal. The day of the procedure to remove fluid we learned from the technician that did a last minute scan mom didn't need the procedure she had less than a trace. Had she had the procedure it could have punctured her lungs. Another family friend's treatment was delayed which contributed to his death. There are no check and balances. It's evident that everyone is treated as if they are the same model car. A assembly line of nameless people whom they have no attachment and just trying to get in and out as soon as possible regardless of seriousness or lack of the condition. Overall the organization structure is disorganized and accountability is lacking. There are a few dedicated, seasoned, compassionate and skilled professionals but it's hard pressed to find them. Zero rating! It's disheartening to know this is a college town with a insufficient medical facility.

The hospital has got a new CEO in the last year and since then the only thing that this facility cares about is profit margin they don't care about people they don't care about patients they just want the money. They had a local facility in my town several miles from the main facility they announced in mid-december of 2025 that they had sold the facility with no prior notice to the physicians or the staff they told them they had 30 days The new owners would be taking over they might or might not have a job they forced the doctors out of being able to treat patients unless they went with the new company which didn't provide the same level of service or care or pay or benefits to its employees are support for physicians at the facility. For a so-called Christian hospital they don't seem to Christian and I noticed in the hospital there used to be several little statuettes of Jesus throughout the facility I've noticed several have been removed maybe that's because they don't want Jesus to see what kind of satanistic greedy people they've turned into because he sure wouldn't be approving of the level of behavior and care that they now provide and still try to pass themselves off as a caring Christian facility. Have used their Doctors and Hospital for over 20 years now but won't go back again now.
