This will be long but I hope you will read it to prevent yourself from being scammed & locked into their membership. You go for the introductory rate which seems great & think "sure I could benefit from regular massage, why not sign up for the membership & save some money." Huge mistake. They get upset if you don't tell them if there was an issue with your experience, but if you do they attack you (I have the e-mails & a recorded call to prove it). They employ unprofessional staff &the good staff all seem to quit. The first complaint I made was about their staff member Courtney. For one, she wouldn't stop talking & second, she told stories ranging from how much she hates her mother, to how she used to cut her wrists when she was a teenager. Completely inappropriate. When I complained they offered me a free massage. However, I paid of a 90 minute & the owner kept arguing with me telling me he didn't want to rebook me a 90 minute because apparently it messes up their schedule. Well then maybe they shouldn't offer them? I paid for a 90 minute so you're not going to compensate me with a 60 minute massage. Their reasoning? Because they don't want to book 2 time slots. Then have the unprofessional staff member pay the clinic, why should the client have to suffer. Next, the clinic over charged me, by their own admission & offered to refund me. I phoned back & told the receptionist to leave it on file (they claim I didn't call back which is a lie), because I knew I would be coming back. The next visit when I was in they told me my refund was still on file (before I went in for the massage). I asked if they could reprint the receipt from the previous visit for me & they had it waiting for me when I came out. Here's the kicker, they changed the price on the re-print so that it wouldn't show that they overcharged me, they changed it so that they wouldn't owe me the money & apologized & said they made a mistake & didn't owe me. I was confused but I paid for my massage & left. When I got home I found the original receipt from that day, which in fact was $29 more than the re-printed receipt. Dates, times, therapist, everything is the same to prove it's the same day. The difference: the price, & the method of payment. They changed it to cash to avoid a paper trail when it's clear I paid debit. When I confronted them they came up with several stories & got very defensive. According to them they changed the price so they could give me the refund. So why did I leave without the refund when I was there & have my card refunded weeks later after having to dispute it (if that's really why they changed the price)? I also told them that their massage therapist Sarah didn't do a good job on the massage that I had the day I came in for the refund. The owner Masa became rude & accusatory. She basically said I am never happy with anything even though I've been going there almost a year & only "complained" twice. She basically said that I don't like anyone I am booked with & I told her everyone I like leaves (Edith, Kayla, Jamie etc.). She starting becoming increasingly confrontational telling me that I can book with Scott even though his schedule doesn't fit mine & arguing about my personal availability. I told them I wanted a refund for the treatment with Sarah & to cancel my membership. I booked a 90 minute massage with Sarah & she didn't get anything done. She didn't release any knots or work on areas that I wanted her to & she had ample time. The next day I saw my chiropractor who verified that she would never have known I had a massage the next day & said the massage therapist actually aggravated my condition (I have fibromyalgia). The chiropractor wrote it in my chart & even offered to write something up for me because she thought it was unfair to pay $110 (which isn't covered by my insurance anymore) & then feel like garbage afterwards. The clinic refused to refund me & started threatening me (which I have all in emails). They had originally offered to let me out of my membership with no penalty because of differences & then when I asked for the refund & asked for a written statement saying I was being let out of my contract they started threatening me. I told them if they charged me for the months on my credit card I would just dispute the charge. They offered me ultimatums in bullet form (which I will provide to anyone who would like to see) stating that my options were to go away & shut up or they would send me to collections for the remaining balance of my membership. So they would rather I go back there unhappy? They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I am so happy I recorded that phone call to get all the contradictions in solid proof. Their e-mails are completely inappropriate & their threats are childish. Still no refund so reported them to BBB. Don't forget the insanely loud gym next door that you'll listen to.
