There really is no instruction on what he is going to do. I received the basic 60 minute massage that seemed to be a mix of light thai and deep stripping. He also used cupping. He is not gentle but effective. In preparation for the marathon, maybe not my best choice but again, it was effective. Visiting from San Antonio, it was the only place I could get an appointment on short notice and would return 2 weeks post race for a deep tissue massage. He does use his feet and unexpectedly hopped on the back of my legs to provide some stretching. I agree it was a different experience but a good one for me. I think it's the different approach to massage that makes it unexpected. He seems to approach massage as a corrective therapy and not for relaxation. Ok with me!
