Beware when someone gives you a sweet gift of a year of massages at Massage Envy and you cancel after a year and you have three more treatments to your account- SUDDENLY you go to book only to find they are gone. Do they tell you they must be used within 70 days? NO. Why do you have 3 more treatments? Because you can't get in during season. Loss of substantial $$$ and poor business model. Just beware of the difficulties, and maybe look for another place beyond a chain I was told I haven't received a response from the owners of this franchise five direct message regarding my experience there I do not have direct message and I have no information of them getting in touch with me they might want to try the number that they called me on to confirm my apointman's in my time of being there client. I am a"senior" citizen. In recent years I received a massage weekly to relieve tight muscles in the back, gluteus and legs caused by medication I take. I have been going to the Massage Envy spa in Coconut Point Mall for the past 2 years (Oct to May). I do one 90 minute massage per week. My experience and comparisons lead me to rate the Estero store very high. It is In the top 2 providers I have seen on a regular basis. The massage is provided by a professional, knowledgeable, and experienced person. The results meets my expectations which are very high. Relief. I do belong to the Member program. I find value with this program because I schedule more then one massage a month. The attention to cleanliness and sanitation is evident. I have been to massage envy 4 times now. I am a non-member but I can say that I have the best experiences with this spa out of any others that I have tried in the area. They are on time and always professional. i have seen two different therapists, ashley once and Natalie 3 times. As a member for approximately 5 or 6 years-actually not sure how long--but before the Coconut Mall even opened- they could care less...I have had a standing appointment at 2:30 PM every Saturday Urel - my therapist since he started a couple of years ago. In January 2014 Amy who was at the front desk January 2014 told me when I showed up for my weekkly appointment that I did not have any appointments scheduled for 2014. i obviously was not happy and she could have cared less. They finally got my appointments set up again in 2014 and Mark the manager apologized and gave me a free week. Then during the year they started to cancel or move my appt time. I would arrive for my appt only to be told no one knew why it had either been cancelled or moved whichever was the case at the time. I made sure in November 2014 that all of my appointments were set up at 2:30 pm thru the end of March 2015. I was told they were by Justin. I came bouncing in the for my appointment the first Saturday only to be told "You do not have any appointments set up" Obviously I hit the roof. A couple of weeks a lady called me and said she was the new manager and knew heard there had been a problem and asked what had happened. I told her and she said that I now had my appointments set up through the end of May 2015. I thanked her and proceeded in on the following Saturday.....Only to be told again by Justin that I did not have an appointment set up for that day. I asked to speak to (I think her name was Tiffany) or something like that...Well guess what!!! She was no longer employed there...I asked Justin who was the owner and he said "John"...I TOLD HIM to HAVE JOHN call me.....Still as of today I have had no response from ANYONE. I have been cancelling my "scheduled appointments" weekly... giving plenty of time for someone to call me regarding this situation. Yesterday, I called and asked for Justin as I have been doing on my weekly cancellations..Again he was "not In"...Hard to believe because he has always been there whenever I have called unless he is "no longer there"....I told them yesterday to cancel any remaining scheduled appointments and the girl said "OK".....Let's see if anyone cares after this..This was not fair to either myself or my therapist...He had a built in customer and built in weekly gratuity. I am in Naples for one of my wellness visits and am a Massage Envy member. Unfortunately, I cannot go to the Massage Envy in Naples which is closer to me because of my previous bad experience and decided to travel further to this Massage Envy in Estero. I was very specific with the receptionist that took my call when I booked the massage. I got exactly what I ordered! A deep tissue massage that was outrageous! I am used to them from my regular masseur in New York, but I must say this was like having my NY masseur in Florida. I had Alun and I can't say enough good things about him. Tried to do negative stars or at least zero stars is accurate. Most horrendous customer service I've ever experienced in my life. This place and management is absolutely terrible. I set an appointment weeks in advance and set my day around the time. I call the day before to confirm and get a reconfirm. The morning of I get a call and they are reconfirming again. I did this because this location frequently cancels appointments on their customers with zero regard. I get in just now and the person at the desk tells me " I don't know who you spoke with this morning but your therapist cancelled working today". No back up for me or apology. Just your appointment cancelled and we tried to tell you. Bunch of moronic miserable people they have there and this is the worst customer service amongst any institution I've ever experienced in my life. Long time massage envy customer who pays monthly. When I arrived for my appointment on 2-11-14 at 6:30 PM, the first receptionist told me she was having trouble finding my appt. She asked someone else to help. I haven't been here in a year so didn't have a regular therapist anymore, but I told her who my appt was with. They both checked the computer, noticed that someone in the system had erased another appt on my name at another time (listed it as a "system error") but they still didn't show my current appt. I've had this in my calendar for a week, they even took my credit card number to hold my appt. As an alternative, they offered my a Friday at 9 PM appt. This was Tues. and when I scheduled the appt I asked for something around 5 PM. They acted like it was my problem and that they were offering a resonable solution. No, a reasonable solution would be to find another therapist that could stay later that evening, or have a therapist take another appt the next evening at the time I was looking for. It was THEIR fault. I have been waiting for a manager to call me to offer a "reasonable" solution but still nothing from them. Not good from a place that now has another massage/spa in the same mall. I went down to their competition and received wonderful treatment. Massage Envy will lose many more patrons to their competition rather quickly! read more

Not even one star! I came in for my birthday for a massage and facial The front desk girl Maria yelled at my mother for trying t o help another front desk person who didn't know what she was doing. Marie started yelling at my mom and pushed passed her . I sat quietly because I didn't want to get involved . As my mom went into the office to speak with the manager Maria came back out with an attitude apologized to me for my moms behavior .i help my tongue until I stood up by the front door ready to leave as my mom was finishing her conversation. Maria looked at the other front desk person who was trying to help my mom and said my mother was trying to be shady loud enough for me to hear. Then looks up at me and says yeah sorry . I've been to Massage Envy a couple of times and both of my experiences have been excellent. The office is very clean and the tables are extremely comfortable. I've had a couple of different therapists and both were very knowledgeable. I will try and couple of therapists before settling on one, either way I wholly recommend this place. read more

My husband bought me a gift card for my birthday for a facial because I am not a big fan of massages. He went to the Estero location and purchased the gift card end of June for the facial & was told that a sugar foot scrub would be included for the price he paid and the employee wrote "good for one facial & sugar foot scrub" directly on my gift card holder. I was just as excited for the sugar foot scrub as the facial! I went for my facial & Yolanda did a fabulous job so I tipped generously in cash upon leaving. Then I got to the checkout & Katrinia Kangas was very abrupt and stated that I am not able to get the sugar foot scrub because I didn't get a massage. I showed her my gift card holder that stated the gift card was indeed for both a facial & sugar foot scrub as she took it from me & said the employee who sold that card is no longer with Massage Envy and he was incorrect that the foot scrub only comes with a massage. The gift card purchase amount was $70.00 so I do have $10.00 left on the card but I cut it up and will never go back to Massage Envy again. How can the services be written right on the gift card and not be honored???? Good massage, but if you get behind it is very hard to catch up. They will freeze account for you, but then not allow you to use the massages that you already paid for during that time. Zero stars and wish I could give it negative rating. This place is unforgivable. My girlfriend and I flew into Florida for the holidays and in the limited time I have here I made sure to set us up both on appointments well in advance especially as places like these get booked quickly around this time of year. The location calls me the morning of and tells me more than once on the phone that both appointments are in the system and are confirmed. This is 2 hours maybe before my appointments. I now get there on time and the piss poor customer service person says Michael we called you this morning to tell you that your therapist took the day off today. Me: No I spoke with someone here just two hours ago and you reconfirmed my appointment. Piss poor customer service employee: don't know who you spoke with but nothing we can do about it. No other times available. Me: something I can do about it hit yelp and cancel my long time monthly membership with massage envy. Waste of money and time.
