Went to get a massage from Zac and mentioned I was a little hung over and tired. He refused to give me a massage saying it would release alcohol from my muscles or something absurd since massaging your muscles when you have no alcohol in your system will not magically create alcohol. I asked for a sports massage for my hip that was right from running. She basically did a full body and didn't even get the area I asked for. The rest was fine which is why it wasn't a 1 star. Really disappointed that it was a waste of recovery time. Then, as soon as i walked out, the person at the front immediately wanted to put me on a "wellness plan" and get me to sign up for a long term plan. A massage for relaxation...huh? Whaaa? Do people actually do that? I go for pain relief because I'm a stress monster. Both therapists I've had experiences with at this clinic (Michel and Michelle) knew their stuff and were exceptionally professional, friendly and focused. Pain relief achieved. Monster tamed. The location is clean and well maintained. There is, from time to time, some confusion with scheduling and reception but I believe it's a fairly new clinic, so I'm giving it time to be ironed out. Overall, though, great experiences by professionals who take time to explain your problem areas and are willing to talk to you about how to have, um, fewer problem areas! read more

Firm believer that Massage Envy hires incompetent people half the time. I have been to several locations around the US, and this isn't the only location that I have had issues. Among the most notable times: 1. I booked a couples massage and was told upon check-in that me and my significant other were going to be in separate rooms. Why would I want to be in a separate room? Why wasn't I told in advance? This happened twice at different locations! 2. I booked a massage on a Friday, specifically telling them the date, and was actually scheduled for the next Friday when I have a 10K to run! (This issue happens all the time! Probably would help if they just had online appointments to better keep tracking of their clientele/members! 3. I booked a "medium pressure" massage with one of the guys at this location. It was my first time with him, and he spent 15 minutes working on my hands, when I told him ALL BODY! read more

Attempted calling at 8:32 am and 8:51 am on mothers day to cancel the massages for my mom and I but got no answer. We were still charged the cost of both massages. I really hate to leave a bad review because I wanted to like this place and become a member. I was told to show up early to fill out paperwork so that it didn't go into my appointment time, but was taken back 5 minutes late. It wouldn't have been a big deal until my massage ended 10 minutes early. The whole massage was completely unenjoyable, they use lotion instead of massage oil which caused a lot of friction. It also caused him to stop A LOT to pump more lotion, which meant no rhythm to the massage. It was the worst massage I've ever had and I would not recommend wasting your money here. I went this week for a 90 minute massage with the added enhanced muscle therapy. As soon as you walk in you are made to feel so welcome!!! They ask everything about your pains and comforts before the massage. Sara gave a wonderful massage and she was so helpful with ways to keep alleviating my pain until my next massage! She even listened to how hot I like the towels and made them hotter for me! When leaving you are given a cold cup of water and a wellness plan for after the massage. While checking out they were so helpful and answered all questions I had. Definitely check them out!!! read more

He obviously read my intake form and listened to me during our brief pre-massage interview because he focused where I needed him to without neglecting to provide a full-body massage. Definitely less than impressed. I've been to Massage Envy's all over the country mainly in Washington and my mother gave me a massage as a gift for graduating college with my nursing degree. This spa was booked out weeks in advance so I booked the soonest available at 11am. I received my confirmation call the Friday prior I believe and confirmed. I showed up at the store and they said my appointment was at 10:30. Okay.... No one apologized for the miscommunication and they store manager was incredibly snotty and rude and basically said well we won't charge you for the full hour and half but you will have to pay for the hour. Then I had to wait while my massage therapist came back as she had left the store. Overall a pretty bad experience and while I was contemplating a membership I truly won't be back. read more

We were gifted a one hour couples massage here. This being my first, I'd rather spend my money(yes after tip $60 for a gifted massage) elsewhere on something that is more beneficial. Such as oh I don't know...anything else. First I will say a very cordial staff. After that, not much else was memorable. We had a few trouble areas that we mentioned we would like worked on.....That didn't happen. Post massage when we went to check out, it was a complete sales pitch and nothing less. Areas we had mentioned were not worked on any more than others but it was mentioned by the front staff that, we need to return at least every two weeks or better every week so that we could feel progress. Completely mailed in by this staff as too what our actual needs were. Find another location for the prices these guys are charging. read more

Management is not professional. Manager's office is extremely messy. There is trash on the floor. Papers everywhere. It is a bad first impression of the business. I can smell food coming from the office which changes the total atmosphere of the spa. There is a huge turnover rate on the facial side of the spa. I wonder why could it be management. The manager is never there and she leaves her responsibility up to others who work there. read more

I did not believe it was possible to ruin a gift for a free massage with tip included. But the current staff, at the time, at massage envy managed to do so. As mentioned, my fiancé bought me an hour and a half massage (with tip included). So, I called and booked the appointment and it ended an hour into it. Told them that it was 1.5 hr and they said oh the scheduler only scheduled it for an hr and there were no other therapist to complete my allotted time. So I had some money left on the card and they said I would have to pay full price for the next massage. Not the introductory rate since it wasn't my first time. Finally after I talked some logic into the manager that this was their mess up and why would I have to pay to fix their mistake, we agreed to an hr massage at the leftover rate left on the card. Months went by and I finally made an appointment only to hear the lady tell me she had no idea what I was talking about and had nothing on my file. And that there had been 3 managers since my last visit. After re-telling them the story, the "current" manager said she would give me the introductory rate for an hour massage and I would have to pay the difference. So, a free massage (with tip included) as a gift from my fiancé ended up costing me 30 dollars. Just bad business, in my opinion. read more

I received a message from the management fixing the problem. My experiences since then have been stellar. The only caveat is the inability to book via the Massage Envy app, or it seems, through the phone. If you call to book (instead of booking again right after your appointment), you will be told there is no availability for about a month. But if you talk to the front desk in person, magically, there are great appointments available within the week or even sometimes the next day. How is this possible? I've called at least twice and tried the app to make an appointment with no luck. Either way, now I book 2-3 appointments ahead and it is easier to move them once you have an appointment. The therapists are great and the only negative I can think of is it is understaffed during high volume hours and that appointments are best made in person. read more
