Looked forward to my message for 6 months as it was a birthday present. Finally got to redeem it and the masseuse talked the whole time. Every 5 minutes she would stop massaging to talk, with her hands, for 5- 10 minutes. It was awful. Left there more tense and stressed then when I showed up. Plus, it didn't feel like a spa when I got there, but like a doctors office. Bright lights, plexi glass and long forms... nothing like the spa experiences that I've had in the past at other places. Pros: I highly recommend "D" for a massage. I've had so many different massage therapists through the years and she has got to be one of the very best! She always makes sure the pressure is perfect, and she is great at finding the knots and working them out. I always leave there relaxed and feeling 100% better. I love her!! June gives the best eyebrow waxes! Normally, people make the tail of my eyebrows too thin, but she somehow magically gets them perfect! She is always friendly and I haven't had to make an appointment for an eyebrow wax yet. They've always made time for me! Love her too! Cons: Do not get the microdermabrasion facial. It costs $95 and is only 30 minutes long. I normally get microdermabrasion facials, and they last anywhere from an hour to 1 1/2 hours, as you get a full facial and then the added microdermabrasion. This one felt more like a procedure, and rushed. There is no consultation or examination of your skin, there is no steaming, extractions, or other treatments. There is a quick cleanse, microdermabrasion, quick mask along with a faster scalp/face massage, and sunscreen is applied. I also wouldn't recommend just the plain microdermabrasion as I was told it basically didn't come with anything but microdermabrasion. tl/dr: massage = yes, eyebrows = yes, facials = no. read more

So, I come here based on reviews. I'm expecting a fabulous visit since the reviews were so good. I left with one hand alright, and the other hand lumpy, crooked and not sharp at all. And i paid almost 60$ for what looks like a 30$ nail job. So naturally i ask to re do them. They re do them, use a different color and then asks if its okay if the same lady who gave me the lumpy nails can paint them.... will not be returning. Even the ones re done were lumpy in some areas, the ends weren't sharp at all and some were literally crooked on my finger. I'm not sure if they just decided not to do my nails right or if everyone who goes here is so old and blind they don't know what good nails look like. You can make your own decisions about this place but sis I know what expensive nails look like and that was not even close. read more

I have gone to June Day Spa several times for a massage with Dasha. She's great and I've had a good experience up until this last time. Every time I go they call me at least two times and text me at least two times to confirm my appointment. It's pretty annoying, but whatever they must have a huge problem with no shows. I booked my appointment through their website. As usual they require credit card to hold the reservation. I booked it on Wednesday for a Saturday appointment. On Friday afternoon I received a voice mail that I had to pay half of the cost of the massage by the end of the day or else they would cancel my appointment. I called them back confused about why all of a sudden I had to provide my credit card over the phone. The receptionist told me it was a new policy and the spa actually does not have access to the credit card number I provided online. This was very shady. When I asked her why would I have to pay a deposit if their cancellation policy states that I would pay half if I no showed she again reiterated that they don't have access to the credit number I used to book the massage. After my wonderful massage I went to pay and they told me I would have to pay a surcharge for using a credit card. This wouldn't have bothered me, but on top of everything else it's clear that they have shady business practices and I wouldn't go back again. How can they take your credit card number and then claim that they can't access it? Where does it go? read more

worst place ever!! i went in for a facial with june and where to even start.. One the sheets smelled absolutely horrible and had stains on them. I shouldve walked out when I saw that! Two it was not relaxing at all! Everything felt so rushed! I felt like she was just slapping shit on my face and telling me how big my pores are and how dirty my face is... Three I kept getting talked into buying all these products and how amazing they are but she could not show me proof on how "amazing" these products are(asked if she had pictures of her clients before and after). moral of the story please don't waste yalls time coming here. My experience with June's Day Spa was hit or miss. My friend and I booked full spa days with waxing, facials, manicures and pedicures. We both had different experiences. The receptionist was very friendly to both of us. My friend had a wonderful experience with Heather for facial and waxing who picked took her straight to the room as soon as we arrived. I had a different experience. My esthetician, Jilisa, was very late (over 45 minutes!), very rude and unprofessional. She didn't have a robe for me to change into and didn't leave the room so that I could get undressed.She did okay with waxing although she did not do a thorough job, used talcum powder and then gave me the worst facial of my life! What was scheduled as an hour long facial was only 20 minutes!! She started very late, was very rude, stopped to text on her phone three different times and also stopped to clean her brushes!! The worst part was the extractions, which left me red and bruised the next day. I will NEVER return to Jilisa again. My friend and I both had great massages. Daja was amazing and was super kind. She was also the first one to offer me a drink after being there for three hours. The manicures were okay but we did not like how lumpy our nails were left. They didn't give a hand lotion massage so they basically just painted nails and trimmed some cuticles. My pedicure was with a different person, Brittany, who was really sweet. If I returned, it would only be for a massage with Daja or a pedicure with Brittany. I'm glad that my friend's experience was more pleasant than mine. I am a regular customer at June's Day Spa , Mia does a great job with the services i get , but of course everywhere u go there is that one person that has a problem with certain race , I had an appointment today and iI had to stay at over at work , so i called to reschedule and Velma tells me that I can not reschedule until I pay for half of the services I was going to have that day because Mia was already in I'm sure I was not her only appointment, so i told her that I've rescheduled once before and no one's ever told me I've had to do that, and she tells me cuz I have to cancel within 24 hrs and I told her that how was i supposed to know i was going to have to work late today. I've sat there at the spa waiting for my appointment and I've heard and seen other people do the same thing i did and there was no problem with the exception that our skin is different. I went to June's Day Spa for a bikini wax and a mani-pedi. I had one person for the pedicure and a separate person for the waxing and manicure. I had to come in 30 minutes late, and they were very accommodating. I appreciate this. However, the woman that performed my bikini wax did not pull the skin taut, and it was extremely painful. I did not even get a complete wax due to the pain as soon as I left, and up to and including today, I have pain along my panty line. Both sides of my panty line have dark blue bruising. I have never bruised from wax before. This is also the first time at a waxing studio that I was not provided a paper bikini. I wore my own underwear. Maybe this is a typical thing in Corpus Christi. When it was time for my manicure, I was told to pick my color and was shown the gels. I deliberately picked from a non-gel, and she said you don't want a gel? I asked what the difference was, and she explained. I then chose a gel. However, there is a $10 difference, and I was not told that gel polish does not come off easily and that I was being asked to choose from gel in the first place. Had I been told about removing this polish, I would not have done it! One other item that I found different from my other manicure experiences was that my nails were not softened in water before any cutting. Not only that, but there was no hand massage as advertised with the gel manicure. The pedicure done by Brenda was excellent. However, I will not be returning and do not recommend June's. read more

First time bikini waxer here. I was pretty nervous about getting it done and had researched a lot of salons in the Corpus area. I decided on June's, and I'm so glad I did. The appointment was easy, not too painful, and very quick. I was in and out of the salon in less than 20 minutes. June was fantastic, and she talked me through the appointment. She explained the different waxes, her recommendations, etc. Also, I thought it was reasonably priced. Tipping excluded, the total was $35. I took my mom in for a beauty date to get our nails done at June's Day Spa. This salon is tucked away but a total gem of a place to find. Luckily we were able to meet the owner, June who had a spa on the East Coast for several years before relocating to Corpus Christi. She and her staff were very attentive. I live in San Francisco and Austin and I have to say this was one of my best manicures / pedicures I've gotten. The attention to detail is amazing. I was looking for a place where they could do silk nails. Called June's day spa and was assured that they did . When I showed up the woman kept trying to do gel nails on me to which I said no. I told her again that I was there for silk nails . The owner June said she could do Them. She proceeded to do the silk nails and they were ok. She told me to return in 10 days for a fill. Which I did . The fill was awfully done, the nails looked thick And absolutely unnatural. I also had a pedicure done and it also was not that great. The pedicure area is dark and the girl applied so much lotion on my feet I had to be careful as I walked out , even taking tissue in my car and wiping my feet before driving home.
