Soon I became a member for about a year and a half and I had the great pleasure of meeting Karen (Masseuse therapist) she is great, her charisma, her attention and professionalism is on another level. Unfortunately for personal reasons I canceled the membership but nevertheless I always try to go for at least every two months. Thanks to the entire team of this spa for always being so attentive. Terrible experience with my membership. The communication is horrible and after several attempts to cancel my membership and calling numerous times, I was told only a manager can cancel a membership. Finally spoke to a manager and never received written or email confirmation of my membership being cancelled. Subsequently I tried to book an appointment and when I arrived I was told my membership had been cancelled and I would be charged more for my appointment. Ended up canceling the appointment there and they still charged me 50%. This place is an absolute joke and if possible I would give it zero stars. Plenty of other options with 10x better customer service. On top of it all the individual behind the counter gave attitude like I did something wrong. read more

I previously left a review on this location (below) and feel compelled to update my review based on the conversation I had with the owner, Eugenia, and the actions she took to rectify the issues I encountered with my previous experience. Eugenia was warm, friendly, and understanding of the issues and apologized for the miscommunications from the representative(s). She was able to assist me in a way that resolved the problems I faced and I feel as if Eugenia truly cares about her business as well as her patrons. With the issue being resolved and the owner taking the time to hear out my concerns and address them, I have softened my overall stance on the efficiency of this location. Mistakes happen and things can fall through the cracks but taking ownership and accountability goes a long way and I respect a business that does just that. Finally, I do want to give a shout-out to Bob. He's an excellent masseuse and has a very calming energy and presence. I definitely recommend him and look forward to returning to this location to use the rest of my services. read more

They're great at massage and I've enjoyed the part a lot. But they're incredibly annoying and pushy about the membership. They won't let me you leave the relaxing room until they've talked your head off about the membership. It's been with a different person every time I've come. I've declined every time and they still are after me. So frustrating! read more

I bought the Massage Envy membership. As a working mom and also CEO of a company have a busy schedule and found it hard to schedule monthly massages so later went to cancel and found out I had only a short amount of time to use the 5 remaining massages I had accrued and never used. Around the time I canceled I found out I was pregnant and my doctor advised I wait to get a massage until the 2nd trimester. Now I've asked for an extension to use the massages given my pregnancy, but am told there is no extension so I need to use 5 massages or services within the next few weeks. After asking how I can fit in these 5 prenatal massages, I was told they have limited appointments for prenatal, and book up a month in advance & currently have none on weekends or evenings and only midweek daytime appointments which I can't take due to work. I'm most likely going to lose 5 services worth approx $450-500 because they aren't flexible or accommodating. I would have thought they'd give me an extension since I'm pregnant and only have limited prenatal therapists available but they won't. I don't usually write 1 star reviews - as I like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but in this case I think their lack of flexibility and lack of customer service in accommodating a pregnant customer is what made me write this. If you do go here, I strongly suggest staying away from the monthly recurring membership. read more

Started at the Westport location. The service was average, not bad not good. Started going to the Fairfield location and haven't looked back. The customer service is top notch. Everyone is always smiling, they remember your names, they are helpful and, they are very knowledgeable about products and services. Sasha is my go to massage therapist. She has hands of gold and is very sweet. Alanis is my esthetician and she is so knowledgeable about skin. She works with you to find the best routine for your skin. My skin has never been better. Do not! I repeat do not ask for Greg and make sure you do not get stuck with Greg. He first of all cared more about going home than giving an actual massage. I've gotten massages at massage schools and Burke Williams. He was worse than a massage school student. I'd be surprised to see him still working there. He spent 2 minutes on my right leg and was about to move on before I asked him why he was rushing our session and he blamed me for coming in late when I ACTUALLY showed up 10 min early to sign in. The lady that signed me in was more intrigued about talking to me and my aunt than to actually get us in the room on time. SO THAT IS WHY WE WERE 5 MIN late. Very unhappy with ME's fund-freezing policies and gifting policy. I spend so much money every month and yet I have to pay EXTRA to gift a massage. Also HATE that I can't freeze and continue to use my massages. They are mine and yet they are dangled like a carrot so ME can continue to get my money. The front desk staff is courteous and efficient and demonstrate real interest in their clients. The massage therapists and esthetician's have always been great. I've been going to Robert for years, he's responsive and just an excellent therapist all around, he keeps me moving the facility is clean and right now we are in what I suspect is the early part of the COVID-19 pandemic and they are using excellent precautions to take care of their clients, staff and facility. read more

My journey with Massage Envy started a few years ago, when I was badgered into getting a membership that I didn't really want in the first place. They have a very reasonable introductory rate of $50 for a 1 hour massage. Well, that is exactly how they get you. After your nice relaxing massage, they sit you down and borderline harass you to join as a member. I'm not kidding - I felt like I couldn't leave until I joined. Since I was so relaxed after my first massage, I decided to join as a member (which I can't blame on them completely, I should have just said no). It is $59.99 a month and you get one treatment. If you don't use your treatment that month, it rolls over to the next - so nothing expires (this is part of the reason I joined...I could wait two months and get a massage and facial in the same day). After deciding I no longer wanted to pay $59.99 a month for very mediocre spa treatments, I called to cancel my membership. Honestly, you never knew if your massage therapist was going to be good or bad. There were times I was antsy and counting down the minutes for the massage to be over because it was literally pointless to be laying there. There were maybe 2 or 3 times where I enjoyed my massage. After a few years as a member, I couldn't justify that being worth it. I attempted a few times to cancel my membership and was given the run around. Finally someone sent me a cancellation form. I filled it out, sent it back and asked for confirmation which, of course, no one sent back to me. I had to call and ask if my membership was indeed cancelled, and the person on the phone said that it was and that she WAIVED the 2 months that I owed them (my credit card number had changed and I forgot to give them the new number). I was assured that those two months would be waived as I was not a member any longer. Low and behold, a few months later I start getting letters from bill collection agencies saying that I owe Massage Envy $119. Not only is it infuriating to be told you owe money to someone when they explicitly told them you didn't, now my credit history is going to have a blemish on it for a bunch of amateur, mediocre spa treatments?!?! I would have gladly paid the $119 that I owed to get out of my membership, but they insisted on waiving it! Thankfully, it all worked out in the end and the collection agency was made aware that I didn't owe Massage Envy a dime. Do not get swindled into joining as a member at Massage Envy. It is not worth the headache in the end. Trust me, you are better off going to a legitimate spa and paying $80+ for a massage from someone who actually knows what they're doing instead of risking having a blemish on your credit report to save $20 on a massage. I enjoyed the massage greatly. My massage therapist was wonderful. My back was in pain so I went a few times. The only negative was the guy at the desk who would meet you after the massage. I didn't want to join and he was very annoyed by this.The last time was it. He demanded to know why I wouldn't join. I told him I just wanted no commitment. Excellent massage with nice focus on my problem areas!

I really wanted to believe that this would help me, I came in to relieve tension and pain in the back/shoulders and somehow in translation it was interpreted that I had suffered some type of major injury, which I had confirmed with the masseuse was not the case prior to the massage. I ended up enduring an hour long rub down, ready to beg for any amount of pressure to be applied. Afterwards I spoke with the masseuse and left with instructions of an epsom salt bath and to utilize a foam roller and to come back for another session (for another $130), both things I do consistently and would not have spent the time/money/effort on pursuing massage therapy if baths or at-home solutions would have fixed my ailments.
