First they involuntarily rescheduled my appointment which was scheduled the next day. I had it scheduled for weeks prior. Once I told them the time they chose for me didn't work, they told me I can take it or they can refund me. After I asked them for a partial refund if I took their involuntary rescheduling, they finally agreed to add an enhancement. Whatever, I said ok. Then, the next day, they canceled my appointment when my wife showed up. They said her prenatal massage was too early and they were uncomfortable with it. I LOVE this location of Massage Envy! I travel a lot across the US and have tried many locations and I love coming home to this one! I've never had a bad massage or facial here, the location is convenient too! I've never had to wait too long as the schedule is busy but not full. The practitioners are respectful and professional, and really listen for what I'm looking for in a good massage. I even changed my home club to this location! I would put zero stars if it were offered. All this place cares about is money. I was given a gift subscription. They shut down for covid. Once I was able to go again they kept charging my card and adding more massages. All I wanted was to use up the massages I had. I told them I wanted to cancel and they said they would freeze the account...and charge me $10 a month to use massages that had already been paid for. Again the number of massages kept going up. I went again to cancel the girls up front were rude and unhelpful. Never go her fur a massage or buy anyone a gift subscription. read more

Probably the fanciest place I've seen in Hickory, I almost forgot where I was! I received​ a massage​ from Sarah over a month ago and still think of it to this day. I wish it weren't so expensive but it's completely​ worth every penny. I have had massages before but nothing compares to this. No hyperbole, I've never felt more relaxed in my life. I brought two of my friends with me and they were both extremely pleased with their massages as well. Finally got to use my Massage Envy gift card - it had quite a thick layer of dust on it! The good news is that the value stayed the same and didn't expire. If you've been to a Massage Envy, you know that they are clean and run fairly efficiently. The bad news is that they are corporate and they will try to sell you a membership. At least the "sales pitch" was after my massage and they didn't push too hard. If you get massages a couple of times a month, the discounts get better. The introductory massage is $49.99 and goes up to $70 plus if you don't join and just walk in. My Masseuse, Danielle, did a great job! Very thorough and very relaxing. I think I fell asleep about ten times and hopefully didn't snore or make one of those "quick wake up snorts" (you know the kind). The massage tables have warmers and are super cozy. The new age fusion music can be a little weird - at one point birds were chirping and later it sounded like church music from Catholic mass. This location is right next to Panera in Hickory - for some reason the Yelp mapping/directions send you 4 miles on the other side of town, so just plug in Panera. read more

My massage therapist Julie was amazing and made me feel very comfortable. She was friendly and explained everything in detail to me. I got a full body massage it wasn't too soft or too hard. It was just right! I felt so relaxed. Right after your massage the therapist leaves the room so you can get dressed. Once you walk out you therapist is waiting for you with a cup of water! She then walked me out to the front. Great experience! Definitely recommend. read more

The hours are great if you work but the prices are definitely too high. The quality was not the best and I've had many massages. They want you to join with a monthly membership and then they will waive the $55 membership fee (really?) they only waive this if you join at your first massage. How ridiculous is paying a membership fee so I can pay $65 a month on top of that for a massage? And if you don't have a membership the cost for a one hour is 95.00!!!! How does this place stay in business?? There are lots of better choices out there. read more

Great atmosphere. Very relaxing from the time you walk in. I highly recommend Justin. He is excellent, professional and considerate. He asks questions to determine how customize your session for you. I've seen a huge difference in my shoulders and neck pain since I started seeing Justin at M.E. treated my mother to a mothers day massage and foot scrub, first time at massage envy and when we walked in we were not greeted like we have been from other spas in the past. the receptionist treated us as if we were bothering her and she wasn't warm or welcoming at all. if we had questions, she huffed and puffed. she didn't make my moms experience enjoyable at all, will not return as long as she's there read more
