I canceled my membership and I've been fighting them for a year and a half and had to change my credit card because they'd pause the charges for 3 months after I disputed them thinking it was done, then they'd start charging again despite my documentation that I'd canceled. This was not my regular massage envy but like others I have the membership and I'm not able to get in enough to justify it. But with a marathon next week I was in a tough spot and was able to get in at this location. Upon arrival for my 10am appointment the front door was locked, the receptionist warmly greeted me and apologized. My masseuse, Quaina only does light-medium but did her best with my 200lb frame and hit my problem areas, and with the deep muscle enhancement I throughly enjoyed my session. read more

I was required to one star to post review. Massage Envy had a terrible business practice of selling more subscribers than they can support. When I finally gave up and cancelled I had 24 unused credits. That is 2 years of taking my money and not providing the services promised. Twice I did their pause service for $10 a month to try to catch up but still could not get appointments. Also, the massage therapists are very inconsistent. They were not terrible but most of them were not great and typically don't stay more than a few months. This is a very low end service and experience. read more

I got my first facial here and while I don't have anything to compare this experience to - I loved it! I set up my appointment through their website - it was very intuitive. Check in was also very easy - I was texted a link that I accessed in the parking lot. Laura (my esthetician) made me feel comfortable and went through the steps explaining what products she was using and why. Prior to starting we addressed some of my skin concerns. Over all it was a very relaxing experience - and my skin feels great! The facial is 70$ and I paid and additional 15$ for the anti aging eye treatment. read more

First, like others have said they don't have enough therapists for their members. It's very hard to get a massage...that you pay for monthly. I cancelled my membership months ago on the phone, and I just checked my statement and they have been charging me this whole time!!!!!!! This is unacceptable and WRONG! When your employee says "we got that taken care of for you" you assume they did their job. Look on BBB or Reddit for all the negative things Massage Envy does to both their employees and members. I have enjoyed my massages here. The staff is very nice and accommodating. I hate to see all the nasty, rude, uncivilized and entitled people that come through though. What gives people the right to think that just because you can't get what you want in that very second that you have the right to be rude and demean the staff? I've had no issue getting a monthly appointment (sometimes more). Guess what?If there aren't any available I take the next available. Here's a tip for all the Karens...they do keep notes on every customer. So, if you're a bi..., they all know and THAT may be why you can't get appointments. Cannot even get in to get a massage. Was going to book online. No appointments available to book online. Called, I did get someone to answer. Nothing at this time available, person who I spoke with did not have access to May schedule yet (5 months from now). She went back and double checked, found 1 appointment in April, but needed a membership to book. Tried to explain I was using a gift someone gave me and considering the length of time to get an appointment I was not interested in a membership or setting up an account with all my card information. However, after 4+. years of loyalty, I am canceling my monthly subscription. i enjoy my massages but find it extremely difficult to book appointments. I have even tried to book ahead but then it is still difficult to book around days that my masse is available. they would benefit from booking their loyal customers first when appointments open. however, they leave it up to me. they have had to rebook me and since I wasnt at my original appointment, I wasn't able to rebook other days. I was really excited to check out this massage envy. The location was right off the 72 hidden behind a Pizza Hut and Dollar General. Ideally, not a beautiful and clean looking environment when you are parking but it is better inside. They have a great variety of facial products you can buy. I found it extremely difficult to book weekend or evening appointments. There was little availability getting the days and times I wanted. I also do not like that you are paying for an hour long massage but only getting 50 minutes! That is a scam. I noticed that the front desk staff is very pushy about people signing up for memberships. Please be aware that after a relaxing massage you may get bombarded with the hounding of a year long commitment to massages. Due to lawsuits that have plagued massage envy, I have always been very specific that I want to be with a woman therapist. I saw a wide array of therapists while I was here signing paperwork. I found them to not be very professional looking and that was concerning. The front staff actually recorded me without my permission and the owner called me. The owner informed me that everybody is recorded and videotaped that walks in here and they do watch and listen to the videos. A bit creepy. He told me that he has no choice but to record and monitor due to frivolous lawsuits in the past against him. I would love to know what people have sued him for. I hope they are only doing this type of surveillance at the front desk...He stated that he could not guarantee that I would be with a woman therapist as they are not able to ask the gender of their therapists. So basically, if you think you are getting a female therapist, it may not be. I had a massage scheduled with Charlie and was unaware if this was a man or woman. They were unwilling to confirm. Based on this, I did not feel comfortable. But, if you have no preference this is your location. The owner owns the location in Huntsville as well. read more

Zero Stars!!! Don't waste your time or money. Impossible to book. They never answer their phone; they never return a call. They require payment to book on line, and no appointments are available for 6+ weeks minimum. You need to put payment information into the website to even book on line. I finally got an appointment, that if I cancelled, I would be charged for. They left me a voicemail 1 hour before the appointment that I waited 8 weeks to get - and cancelled on me. Beware of this place. I have been a member for some time and use to have a good experience! They continue to charge monthly but claim there is no appointment for months. After discussing then why would I pay my monthly bill then they become very defensive and say it's in the contract. They do a decent job with the message but do not become a member. I have reviewed this business in the past & have had excellent therapists care for me. However, this one star review will be for their membership package. I signed up for this just before we were locked down for Covid, so I have not been able to get my monthly massages with the therapist of my choice. I called yesterday to cancel my membership & was told I could "freeze" the account, but couldn't claim my massages. I could however purchase a "freeze plus" for $20 extra a month. I will be canceling & plan to find some place new. This is absurd. A person should get what they've paid for. To be noted, this was not explained fully when I got the package. Now it takes 2 to 3 mos to get an appt. so I received my husbands reminder about his massage yesterday( I receive both our reminders on my phone number) so I confirm his appt for tonight. when he is there his therapist says, I saw your wife has an appt tonight too. I did not receive a reminder. I call the office and they tell me I opted out of text reminders. I explain to her that I have done no such thing. She tells me she has opted me back in to reminders but I will still be charged for the massage I missed. needless to say, I am not happy. we keep getting charged but they do not have enough therapists for us to use all the massages we have been billed for. read more

First time at a Massage Envy franchise. Been having regular massages for 15 years. Responded to a mailer for a $49 intro massage... couldn't pass that up. Desk clerk was very attentive/nice check-in, though her thanking me up and down was a bit much. When the massage therapist came out to get me in the waiting area, no handshake. Little point deducted for that. The massage room was nice; the table was comfy enough. The 60-minute massage was actually 50 minutes, giving 5 minutes for undress and 5 for dress. The massage itself was superb. I was pleasantly surprised. The technician was young and I didn't think she'd have the experience, but she was terrific! When I checked out, I was surprised to learn that Massage Envy is like a club, with a membership. I've received so many mailings from them over the years, and never did it mention this. However, the deal is quite good and I enrolled. $59 a month and that gets you a 1-hour customized massage. Any additional massages are only $39 for an hour... and goodness knows I'd love to have them every 2 weeks, so that works out beautifully. And the membership is good at all locations around the country. A 1-hour facial is just $10 more. All in all, a terrific experience. I didn't get 5 stars because it's a new location and the staff wasn't fully informed, and the fact that I didn't expect to get a membership push after my massage. Today's massage was soooo relaxing. I especially loved the last portion of my session when my head, neck and shoulders were worked on.,,, I just wanted to sleep afterwards. When I first made the appointment a week prior had requested for someone w strong hands for a Sports massage to work on my back, so the front desk personnel booked me w Brianna. Then I decided when I came in today that I wanted a combination of Swedish & Relaxation rather. I'm glad I got Brianna for my massage therapist this time. She did a great job, and I have already requested her for next week's session. I transferred my membership from the Loveland Colorado location and I gave it 6 months. The service here doesn't live up to the other locations I have been to (in 3 states). They seem to be a busy location, so several people must really like them, but the quality of the massages I have received have been from terrible to pretty good. I actually left one massage early because it was so bad. They also make it very difficult to cancel your membership, it require 30 days notice in person and that's after the 1 year agreement is up. So be careful before you sign on the dotted line. read more

The receptionist gave me a date and time. I showed up and was told it's the following week. The manager acted like it was my fault and I asked her did she really think I would have taken off work and showed up just to show up. This was not the first mix up I've had with them. I asked to cancel my contract and was told I would have to gift or forfeit my remaining credits. Why would I want to gift something I don't even want. The director has yet to return my call. I want a refund for my credits and to cancel my contract. I'll find another massage place that has better business practices. Although, I must say that my massage therapist Diego is great. read more

I received a Message Gift Card for a Christmas present. When I called to book the message they continued to tell me for two weeks they where completely booked. When I was able to get my message the couples message next to be was so loud I heard their entire conversation for over half of my message time. The employee that did my message came to get me 10 mins after my appointment said I had 5 mins to consult about what I needed 5 mins to change before and after my appointment waited 10 more mins before she started the message had a 25 mins of a message and she quit 10 mins before my time was up so she could keep on schedule. I was told they allowed 10 mins to consult and change, 5 mins to change after and 50 minute message NOT what I received. read more
