MEMBERSHIP IS A SCAM! DON'T SIGN ANYTHING! I was a member for 10 years. Management has left this location a mess. My inability to get an appointment or last-minute cancellations left me with 5 massage credits (5 one-hour massages). They would literally call me on my way there to tell me the therapist was sick, and once I had already shown up for the appointment. After a final last-minute cancellation in February, I was ready to call in quits with them. I called to cancel my membership, and was given the runaround for several days until someone finally emailed me the cancellation contract. The contract, which is a total scam, says you have 60 days to use your massage credits or forfeit the money. As I had been unable to get in for one single 90-minute appointment for 5 months, how exactly did they expect me to schedule 5 one-hour massages in 60 days? I received a message from management that they would like to salvage our business relationship. I spoke with the manager Dee, who made it seem like my fault that I didn't complain sooner, as I had been inconvenienced so many times in the last few years. Dee told me she was "unable" to give me a refund, so I would have to magically use my credits or file a CC dispute. After submitting my disputes and complaint to corporate, I got a call from an Amanda who told me Dee had always been capable of refunding me, but just didn't. She said it was my fault for filing a dispute, and that we could have come to an arrangement to extend my 60-day period to use my massages. At this point, I would rather set that money on fire than give them one more cent. Rather than simply refunding my money for services they never provided, I was forced to make several phone calls, send emails to management and corporate, submit 5 separate credit card disputes for each monthly charge, and come up with documentation supporting all of this. So far, I have been able to recoup $150 of my $375 via credit card disputes. At the very least, hopefully I can save someone else from having their money stolen. Based on other customer reviews (attached) my situation is definitely not an isolated incident. Also, for what it's worth, I don't do massages as a luxury. Paid $200 for a facial with add-ons for peel, light therapy and décolletage. Bare bones set up. But worst was - Total time was 30 minutes!!! I felt like I was on a timer. What a rip off. read more

My massage therapist was good, not great. I expressed specific areas I wanted focused on, and didn't feel like they got any extra attention. Also - and this is a bit nuanced, but when he got to my feet he didn't massage my toes at all, and barely massaged the arch, which I asked him to do: it was weird. Finally, I scheduled a 90-minute massage which started 5 minutes late and ended 5 minutes early, which is irritating. I'd try again with a different therapist...he was ok but not great. read more

My massage therapist, Steven, did a fabulous job. Exactly what I wanted. What i don't understand is that i booked an hour massage. My appointment was from 10 to 11. I was asked to get there 15 minutes early. I got there 20 minutes early. I waited in the waiting room until approximately 10:05. No big deal. I was taken to the room where Steven and I chatted briefly about what I was looking for. Then he left, and I got ready and laid on the table. All of this took about 15 minutes. Then my massage stated. When it ended, it was exactly 11. So i paid for an hour, but I only received 45 minutes of the massage. I guess that bothered me since it is pricy. I am unsure if this was a fluke or not, so I made another appointment for next month. Depending on if it goes that way will depend on if I join the wellness they are offering. read more

Normally I would not go to a "chain" store for a massage. I have always found personal practitioners so much better. I took advantage of the buy one get one free offers during Christmas and kept the free one for myself. Am I glad I did! Samantha is excellent. She is low-key personal, which is my style. She has a firm, confident technique and is able to adjust pressure perfectly. I had a few trouble spots and she was able to deftly relieve the pain with a different technique that I had not experienced prior. Massage envy gets five stars for Samantha. Admittedly, preferred therapists can be hard to book however but with a bit of patience and attentive customer service the front desk always does their best to help. Their highly efficient scheduling system had me jump through 10 minutes of hoops...including a password... to learn that they're are no openings. I had the worst massage ever. I had very low expectations - only went because I had a gift card from an employer. Not only was my massage therapist rough and aggressive, but when I wasn't protecting my body against the twisting and abrupt movements, I was trying not to laugh. Just because I requested deep tissue, doesn't mean fast and jerky, twisting my joints all over the bed and causing the sheets to shift constantly. I understand if you want to work on some knots and if so, I might not have the most relaxing massage because you are working knots out, but that was not this. Anytime he got close to finding a tight muscle he would move on - didn't follow through on the muscles, didn't work on any knots... breezed over everything without focus on anything. Like he didn't know his anatomy! I told him SI joints and facets and could tell he had no clue where to find them! It was as if the person had NEVER been trained. My ankles were both strained from the twisting of my lower leg during the massage - my middle back is completely contracted needing dry needling to unlock the spasms I suffered - I thought my thumbs were going to dislocate and are now sore today. NOTHING is better, there was NO relaxation of any kind, I am worse off having gone there. Next time I will toss the GC in the garbage because no one should endure such a reckless attack on their body. I recommend each therapist massage each other and regularly get reviewed and critiqued internally and should have to go to regular continuing ed on massage techniques. If people think this is what massages should be like, try somewhere else. I promise it won't be any worse! There are people much more clinically skilled!! read more

I've been a member here for quite a while. I took a hiatus once, when I had to quit a job, but otherwise have been coming here for years. I like the environment (except for the terrible zen mood music chosen by their corporate office; thank goodness it can be turned off) and the staff. I've been going to Steven for a while; I like his "quietude." I get neither a super-light or super-heavy massage; being the Goldilocks of clients, I want it right in the middle. Any hitches I've had were due to either contract misunderstandings on my part, or lack of attention by the corporate office, which the locals can't affect. It's a shame that some people give low reviews for a location based on decisions made at a national level. read more

I just had the worst massage in my life. Hattie was the therapist and she was horrible. Management there has recently changed and it's quite shocking to experience the change. I was a very happy customer at this location until a move to a different city and a challenging schedule called for me to need to cancel my registration. I took time out of my work day to go in in-person and fill out the cancellation paperwork at the Mequon location, confirming my last charge would be taking place. I was then charged again a month later (last week). When I called to see why I was charged, despite my cancellation paperwork reading that Sept. was my last payment, and was told that they had no record of my cancellation. Luckily, a staff member at Whitefish Bay was wonderful and immediately processed my refund. Shady business practices and deceptive communication. I will NEVER be a member here again. read more

I have been a client about 4 years. While I am elsewhere part of the year and use vacation hold, when "in town" I regularly see the same therapist. I schedule appointments for months at a time, necessary because she is very good. read more

LOVE Chris and the magic he works. He is very attentive to the areas that I identify as problem areas. I refuse to go to anyone but him!!! The customer service here is great also. We had a few snafus during the earlier part of my membership here but they've hired some new and friendlier people and I love it here. read more

Worst massage I've ever had! Super expensive and the massage therapist was rude and barely did her job. Such a waste of money!

I had a year membership but I decided half way through, I would cancel it once I went to a month to month renewal. In that year, I had a few bad experiences with different therapists and facial massage, which I brought to the management's attention. The managers were always nice about listening to complaints and offering free massages but you can't keep making apologies for repeated subpar service. When I did find a therapist I liked, I tried making appointments that fit their schedule. But then, their techniques would change or since they were busy they'd just hurry thru the massage to get to the next cutting it short...even when I was on time. I even tried other locations but they are so much farther away from my home, it made no sense to lock myself into a membership. read more

Terrible customer service. Three times I have scheduled appointments in advance because I travel and it's hard to get in. And 3 times I have had someone call at the last minute to say they are cancelling my appointment because of their staff short comings and now I'm out of luck. They did offer to get me in 5 days from now... When I mentioned cancelling my membership that is about the best customer service I got. I guess you get what you pay for. There are many good options, this place is not one of them. I used their online "request an appointment" service. They called and said I was scheduled. My wife went in and there was no appointment scheduled. They said that a credit card was needed to keep the appointment. Why not call me back if a card was necessary? Why tell me that my wife was scheduled if she wasn't. Too logical I guess. So much for the day off work and day off taking care of our daughter that I surprised my wife with. Thanks for wasting her time and vacation day from work. My wife received little sympathy from massage envy and no compensation or show of good faith. My sister also received terrible service but at least she got an appointment. I do not want to go into specifics because it would highlight a certain massage specialist. Needed a massage bad and couldn't get into where I normally go. There is a reason why their massages are only $39 bucks. Therapist was young and inexperienced. Then when she was finished her and the manager tried to hard sell me on a membership. I did like the music that was playing in the room. read more
