Love Massage Express. This is the only place I will go to, and it is always a relaxing session. It is not a crazy over the top spa, but the location is very clean, all staff is very friendly and I always leave feeling 100x's better than I did when I walked in. Sun there is awesome, not only does she give a great massage, she found the spots that were giving me issues without me saying a word and works them out and gives you tips on stretching to help the muscle open up. I typically go for a 90 minute and I think pricing is fair, especially when compared to others. Making an appointment is super easy, and I have never had an issue with them accommodating. Upon arriving I was offered water. Yes, please! With this heat and humidity, it was much needed. My masseuse was a very nice woman named Sasha. Sasha did an excellent job and I'll be back to see her soon. She was fabulous and the knot in my left trap is GONE. I have been getting massages since 2010 due to car accidents. I have 5 bulging discs due to those accidents, all rear ended, and was also diagnosed with a rare tumor located in my right brachial plexus that surgeons won't touch. I am in constant pain, mainly my neck, between my shoulders, and of course my right arm due to the tumor. I have family in Texas, and when I've come to visit, I've wasted gas, time, and money trying to find a LMT who could alleviate my symptoms and pain. In Hawaii, I normally get 2 deep tissue massages per week, and I realize everyone's technique is different, but the goal should be to assist clients with feeling better and helping them therapeutically. I've been to Massage Express, at both locations - one is on Basswood and the other newer location is off of North Tarrant Pkwy. I drive at least an hour to get there. I've been to different spas and clinics in the Metroplex who offer deep tissue massage, sports medicine massages, etc., and none of them compared to my LMT's in Hawaii. I literally was questioning myself, wondering if I wasn't clear on how much pressure needed to be applied. I finally found Eric at Massage Express. He is very tentative to your needs and areas of concern. Every time I've gone in there, I've literally felt like Jell-O after I left. I specifically ask for male LMT's even though I'm a female because I have yet to find a female LMT who can apply enough pressure. Eric has made me feel comfortable and relaxed, and normally it takes a while for me to do so. Both him and his wife have been nothing but professional, hospitable, and caring towards my individual needs. The rooms are cozy and the lighting is dimmed for your comfort. The ambiance is very welcoming. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. I would definitely recommend making an appointment with Eric if you are like me and need extra firm pressure along with having a LMT who is knowledgeable and intuitive of the client's needs and concerns. My husband and I went on New Year's Day for a couples 90 minute massage. When we called to ask if they had any openings the woman on the phone was incredibly helpful and kind. We showed up a little early to fill out paperwork. While waiting for our appointment time, another couple walked in. It seemed that there was a confusion with wheather or not they had an appointment. As soon as they realized they were going to be one therapist short, they got on the phone and had another therapist rush in. That's customer service! As for the massages... Incredible! Just got an amazing last minute massage here. I went to the doctor for my back, which flares up and demands I treat it correctly about once a year, and he said to get myself to a massage therapist stat. So I looked up who had good reviews nearby, and just like other reviewers have said, they got me in immediately. The location is definitely no frills, but it's clean, quiet, and peaceful. The most important thing was the massage. Jessica was AMAZING. She had perfect pressure levels, was sure to ask what I wanted out of the massage before we got started, optimized her time on my problem areas, and didn't talk other than to respond to any feedback I gave (something I really appreciate). The focus of the massage was working the knots and the muscles, no time wasted on extra oils, hot towels, or anything other than getting down to work. I got a gift certificate for a 50 minute massage here. The last massage I got (someplace else) was very subpar so I put off going. After my appointment, I have nothing but great things to say about Massage Express. From booking over the phone to walking out afterward- they are top notch. The atmosphere is calm and comfortable. Temperature was great. Rooms are clean and dimly lit with soft, beautiful music playing. The massage therapist was incredible, she asked what muscle groups bother me most, what pressure I like, and then let me relax. I called and they were able to get me in same-day even though I was expecting a wait of at least a week or so. They offered me bottled water on the way out, and their payment system is very updated. After searching for places online and reading reviews.. I made an appointment and brought my sweetheart here today for a couples massage for his birthday. They were amazing... We have been under a little stress with built up tension but after we left, we were so relaxed and our bodies felt so good. This place has great reviews which is extremely confusing to me. As a female I would never be comfortable in this setting. From the parking lot I could tell that the front windows are completely blacked out, but I ventured up and opened the front door to see two women sitting on old gross couches and a man behind a desk. It was extremely dark and did not look like a legit place. I didn't even enter the building. Maybe I'm spoiled as most of the massages I have gotten were at legit spas. So I've actually been going here on and off to several years actually, but never wrote a review. After my last visit yesterday I think it's finally time to put my thoughts out there. This place seems to have improved with time IMO. I've made an effort to try many different styles of massages in many different states, and these guys are right up there, with MUCH more reasonable prices than places like massage envy and other similar joints. Ceecee (spelled phonetically) did gave me the BEST reflexology massage I've ever had, and really worked out my neck, which is nice since I tend to sheep kind of funny. The head/face bit was also very pleasant. To sum it up- the price is right, the place is decent (if you want super fancy mood lighting and a huge space be prepared to pay for it), and most importantly the massages are good. Ashley was very good. I don't base massage places on looks and accessories, im there for a massage and the masseuse makes or breaks the place. I appreciate that ashley allowed me to tell her what to work on during my time and not waist time on areas not sore. Many masseuse won't do this because they are trained to cover the entire body on a time frame. If you're like me you're wanting to know what kind of pressure, well ashley isn't the deepest pressure masseuse around but she gets knotts out and addresses your issues. I was nervous about Massage Express after reading the very mixed reviews on Google. But they were nearby and got my fiancé and I in a couples massage with short/basically no notice. I expected the worst, but honestly, didn't have any problems with the place. It's not fancy by any means. It's mediocre, family owned, and small. Still, it's wasn't terrible. The staff was nice and got us in last minute. The rooms are bare and dated...but the bed was comfortable, the sheets were clean, the room was a pleasant temperature (I get cold easily), and both of our massages were wonderful. We got in and out quickly with very little paperwork. No one haggled us to buy stupid memberships or products. Everyone was polite and professional. For the price and convenience, I have no complaints. We'll most likely come back. read more
