I don't write reviews much less bad reviews but my experience with Massage Heights Boerne location needs to be written bc I feel their policies and administration needs to be known. I've been going there since November and my experience never changes for the good, I've given it many chances. Let me start off with their therapist are great, professional, attention to details on your concerns and provide a relaxing wonderful massage. Shout out to Lilly! On the other hand their admin staff and policies are ridiculous and unfair to the clients for multiple reasons. 1st- The willingness to work with a client scheduled appointment changes. For me (MH)but not for the (the client)! There have been multiple times I've scheduled an appointment and they have called and asked "hey we know you're coming in at 5, but can you come in at different time? If you say No this is the only time I'm able to come in, the response is usually disappointing as if your putting them out and you as a client should be more accommodating to their needs. Sometimes they cancel your appointment all together. There has been times I've agree to new appointment times and they will call again and request an other new time as if your time is not as important as their time. Yet, if you try to do the same they will NOT accommodate you, and let it be known if you DO NOT show up at the exact time you will be charged no matter what and will loose time on your service. 2nd- if you are scheduled for an hour or 90 minute massage you are NOT getting the industry standard 50 / 80 minute massage you're getting a 40 / 70 minutes or less massage. Your time starts right on the hour and ends 10 to 5 before the hour. Let me break it down all the way. Let's say you are scheduled at 3:00, the therapist may come and get you right at 3:00 if you're lucky but it can be as late as 3:10, then your quick consult and they leave for you to change, I was left on the table for over 6 minutes to change, which only took less then a minute bc I was dressed for a quick change (again, less time of actual massage). My therapist stopped 10 minutes before the session ended and I was out the door before my "90" time slot. It was more like 60 min of actual massage and 30 min of time waisted. I have brought this subject up multiple times with the front desk in a kind and non confrontational way, I truly just want to understand what I'm paying for. They put it on me as the client. They explained your time starts on the hour to the minute and your time ends exactly on the hour or 90 minutes bc they have other clients scheduled on the hour. How ever long YOU take is not on them. There is no point trying to understand what you actually get when scheduling an hour to 90 minute message because they can't explain it and just gaslight you. But let's get real, it's NOT the time you paid for and requested. 3rd- Scheduling online is a cluster* and they know it is. I scheduled online for a service with a few add ons thinking I was paying $125 as my balance owed was $125, then sat waiting for my service for over 15 minutes, once my therapist came to get me we went over my services and she wanted to make sure I was aware there was an additional charge of $$$, bringing my total to over $300. I was confused so we had to go back to the front desk to figure it all out. In the long run I didn't get my additional service do to the cost and I lost over 30 minutes of service due to the confusion. The owner did adress it with me and explained when scheduling online it gets confusing and best to just call so you understand what your paying for plus gave me $80 off due to the lost of time. Which was appreciated, but again the wasted time of service never improves and you're told it's on you, not them. I have been getting massages monthly for the last 10 years due to medical reasons and I've never experienced the lack of accommodations, courtesy or time, since going to Massage Heights. Need to find a new place. read more

Hey MH Boerne Management, Just so it's clear, you had amazing massage therapists. I have always been a fan of MH as evidenced by supporting a consistent membership for 12 years. The massage I received that day, was great. Twice prior to that day, as a member, I visited your location as I lived in Fair Oaks Ranch for several years and now visit Boerne often to see friends and relax.... The two prior visits were performed by an outstanding massage therapist. My frustration with your location was strictly the sticker shock of being charged the $149.95 for the service that I was not anticipating considering my previous membership. I failed to ask if I would pay a non-member rate in part due to the stress from losing my ex-husband tragically (we have three young children together) and possibly because the MH located by my home and work had continued to be accommodating at the member rate since they knew me well.... Your store opened after we moved back to Tomball.... My poor experience was strictly with the Manager quoting policy and arguing with me over the fact "I should have known to expect to pay a non-member rate". She could have easily defused the situation by apologizing for the misunderstanding or oversight along with the added stress of the situation during an already stressful time in my life. I was not and am not looking for a handout..... I have been a business woman for many years, and I understand the cost of doing business. I also know the impact of quoting policy and not listening to the actual issue so it could be addressed. I wish nothing but the best as your therapists have great talents. *****Terrible customer services and poorly ran business. Tried contacting the owners, CEO and VPs of the business for a resolution with zero reply. Don't waste your money here and avoid***** I purchased a membership last year and often pay for my girlfriend to come with me, typically, once or twice a month. I tried pausing by cancelling in October as I was going to be travelling to the UK for 2-3 months. The manager, who eventually called me after 2 days of back and forth with the young ladies at the front desk, managed to convince me to wait till November, reassuring me that the remaining credits could be pushed out until they were used. I returned to Texas 2 weeks ago and tried to book 2x massages today. There was no appointment available, so we were booked in for Monday. 5 minutes later, a different lady called, stating that the other attendant was "new and didn't know what she was doing". She also mentioned that I couldn't use the remaining credits (that I've fully paid for) and she would have to ring her manager to unlock them. I assumed there would be no problem as it is a service I've paid for and have not used yet. I asked her to call me back if there were any problems. To my surprise, an hour later, she called. Apparently, the manager now will not unlock those prepaid credits and no other manager will be there this weekend to call me back. I find it very surprising that at the branches' peak times, there is no manager supervision, especially when there are junior untrained staff members on the front desk. Because of how expensive the services are, I expect a much higher customer service level. read more

Ever since I joined Massage Heights almost 2 years ago, I can honestly say yay! I have found a massage place I can call home! The front desk personnel is always pleasant and helpful! The two best massage therapists there (in my opinion) are Nathan and Brendon! They both go above and beyond to deal with the pain I am constantly in and give me some relief for awhile! I am a handful of issues and they never act like I am just too much to deal with and do all they can in the 90 minutes I am there to relieve the pain! So glad I found them! This place is horrible. The massage therapist I had was barely out of school. They only give you 45 minute massages eventhough you are paying for 60 minutes. The manager informed me that techniques varies, no it's called cheap service and bad quality, if you are use to getting massages this place is not the place to go. While I was waiting I overheard a man say that they were trying to cancel their monthly services because it wasn't worth it. My husband had an appointment, the person called to ask if it could be move forward , my husband said he would try to get there earlier but no guarantee. Less than 10 minutes later my husband calls and says there is no way to come early , they then state the massage therapist David decided he wasn't working after 8pm and blocked himself so they cancelled without even telling us. If my husband showed up at 8, there wouldn't have been someone to give him a massage . Are you kidding me, poor management, poor service. Young service providers , Don't go unless you are into low quality service and performance. read more

I hate to leave a review like this. It was my first time going to a massage franchise. I hadn't tried it before because It was compared to a fast food joint when it comes to the massage industry. I figured I'd give it a fair shot though and ignore what I've heard... i honestly wish I hadn't. I came in to relax which pretty much anybody getting a massage intends to do, and while I was waiting to meet my massage therapist a young lady at the desk was talking to another young lady about someone she's related to being a pedophile. She was complaining about being hungover and then the conversation developed into her starting to making fun of one of the other employees to the other young lady at the front desk.... at this point, I was very stressed and I approached the young girl and asked to speak with her manager. Then shockingly, she told me she was the manager.... she told me her name was Jackie and asked how she could help. I told her how uncomfortable I felt hearing all the personal talk and bad mouthing while I waited for my massage and that I'd like to cancel my appointment. She became very rude and refused to cancel my appointment and denied doing anything wrong. The first mistake this company made was hiring a bratty young girl to be their manager. Maybe if they improved on management they'd see better results. I am very disappointed and will not be returning to massage heights ever again. read more
