I made an appointment with Mila because I had an acute issue with my neck and shoulder, and my regular therapist was out of town. Mila's approach is much different than the norm. Instead of the usual Swedish, deep tissue, or sports massage, she customizes the massage to each individual's needs. She makes those choices as she's working on you and finds issues. She's also great about checking with you. She'll ask if the pressure is to soft or too deep, or if something hurts. For my shoulder, she thought cupping would be good. I'd never had that before. The cups are like suction cups that draw the muscle out to stretch it. It found it interesting and enjoyed it. It does leave round marks that look like bruises, no pain or swelling, just a mark that will fade over the next several days.
