Two star rating, because the massage room appeared to be clean other than the stray dog hairs I removed from the sheets prior to getting on her table. I could hear all of the shuffling, voices, and closing doors in the hallway, as her space is in an office building right off of the main entrance. Diane didn't ask me what my problems areas were or what I wanted her to work on prior to the massage. Instead she spent about 10 minutes feeling reflexology points on my feet. Diane said that she sensed an issue with my digestive system based on the point on my foot and asked if I've had issues. I told her I don't have any digestive issues and that my problem areas are my shoulders and back, but she was so concerned about a potential polyp I might have and not know about that she barely worked on my shoulders and back. When she did touch my shoulders and upper back the pressure was a 1/10 despite asking her to apply firm pressure to try to get some knots out. It was unpleasant to lie on the table slathered in massage oil only to have her lightly stroke my arms, legs, and feet. I would have been better off working my lacrosse ball into my knots in my back and shoulders and taking a bath at home with Epsom salts- and that would have been free! At the end of the massage she placed hot towels on my back and left me there to "relax." This was the highlight of my massage, although the five or eight minutes were part of my 60 minutes. For somebody who has back pain or tightness, the hot towels would be beneficial at the beginning of the massage to help loosen up sore muscles. My lower back ached when I got up from the table. I've been for upward of one hundred massages and this is the only time I felt worse afterward. Diane didn't make any effort to customize the massage to my needs. It's very apparent she goes through her routine, in which you only receive about twenty five minutes or so of her actively massaging you. If you have any soreness or problem areas, save your money and see a more capable LMT who will work on your problem areas as you express them instead of ignoring your assessment of your own body and using reflexology to identify bogus problem areas.

I called Saturday, December17th and left a message only to be greeted early this Monday morning (12/19) by a warm and welcoming Ana Maria on the phone. We discussed my needs and set a date for early January to have my first massage as she was very heavily booked through the end of the year. Lucky for me someone canceled and I was able to see her today at 12:15. VERY lucky actually. Ana Maria was even more welcoming, engaged and informative in person. She truly does want to hear what particularly "ails" you and works to design a session around it. She does not believe in a one stop shop for all clients...It really was so personally directed to what may work for me. Just walking in the door to her location was a treat for the senses...wonderful smells, soft music ( no clangy stuff!) and a verrrry soft and nicely heated massage table. It was exactly what I had hoped for! A truly legitimate massage delivered in a soothing, calming environment. For me the soothing, calming is half of what will make me choose a massage therapist. The super bonus here is that it's quite obvious Ana Maria knows what she is doing, doesn't jeopardize your health by doing too much too soon in the wrong spots. My only regret is that I had to get up off the table! Very nice and only spoke when asking if I felt any pain. I didn't have anywhere of note so she just went all over the place - including my booty! But my glutes have never felt better!! The place was quiet, but I could hear people in the hallway occasionally. In my opinion, unless you're getting a home massage, you're gunna hear some noise. I heard people in the hall at Red Door Spa - it happens! So in short - I wouldn't go here if you're looking for a relaxing spa experience. It seems like some masseuses are afraid to go deep for fear of causing pain, but I told Lisa i liked more pressure and she came through. Very professional. They could benefit from some more signs inside; like something to specific "waiting room" and signs on or near the massage rooms to let you know to keep quiet and don't enter just to be safe. I saw two businesses with different names, but they are the same place. Apparently D3 is the new entrance, but it's in the rear of the shopping center. Go LEFT till you approach the dumpsters. The new entrance will be there. The lady I spoke to did not understand the words coming outta my mouth, but I did speak slow and clearly in a respectful way. She was busy with a client, but I will say the area did not smell good at all. I aquired the costs of doing busy here for new clients. Please air out the establishment. It could have been something cooking, but if that smell is all around the clients, they might not stick around for an encore. I will try this place again at another time. Oh, and calling and making an appointment is the way to go. This was made clear by the lady I spoke to. Oh, and Oasis Wellness Center's website doesn't work when scanning their business cards.

After the first hour she was joined by another therapist who also worked on all the areas I asked for...Amenities included cupping and hot stones which both felt wonderful! A little added sensation with some other tools all found their mark providing great relief. After a thorough 3-hour massage I felt like putty under Nancy's hands. It was by far a great session and I hope to return again soon and experience another fabulous session.
