I do not recommend this daycare. Please review the licensing website. After speaking with licensing I was told the clearance letter that is being presented represents her clearance of the items she needed to complete to keep in compliance. It does not erase the human rights violations that were substantiated. If you ever have any questions regarding licensing and their process I suggest giving them a call as they are very helpful and informative. I have watched in silence since the findings in February and for the most part kept to myself. I did leave a review on Google that was promptly removed. As a Mom I feel it is my right to express my experiences and let others form their own opinions. I am so extremely disappointed in how all of this has turned out with someone who I full heartedly trusted with my children. In fact after the investigation closed I was hopeful that if she stayed open this would be a wake up call and things would of changed but in May she was cited again for not properly informing parents about the substantiated claims. Further proving my worst fears, she's a liar and deceitful. My recommendations for this daycare would be to be way more open and HONEST in communication, provide updates to parents and actually know what they did during the day, do not talk/gossip about other parents, children or employees to others. Acknowledge concerns parents have and not brush it off as "it's just how daycare is". Lastly, do not leave hand written notes about a child in your care that goes into detail about an event that ended with that child (1 year old baby) being put in timeout alone in a room since you never notified the parents about any such event. read more

I wanted to update my review now that my daughter is participating in the preschool activities that Dawna does with the kids. My child comes home with different arts and crafts based on the letters they are learning. She recognizes the letter her name starts with and the letter her brother's name starts with. She also comes home singing nursery rhymes and is very happy when we pick her up from "school". She enjoys her time with Dawna and her friends at daycare. We have had a good experience. read more

My son, dad, and I love Massey'a daycare. She is the best, she has made sure my son and our family have a safe place to leave our son while we work. Before brining my son to Dawna he was shy around other children now that he goes to Dawna he is very outgoing with the other kids. At pick up I find him dancing and playing with his friends. We consider Dawna a part of the family she is very welcoming and has helped us so much by working with our schedules. My son's first language is Spanish and at Dawnas he's leaning a lot of English he is progressing a lot with his English here, makes my momma heart happy that we found Dawna. I highly recommend Dawna. I absolutely recommend this daycare for everyone. Dawna is an amazing person and takes her time to attend to every child's needs. I switched my daughter from a center to Dawna and within months I saw the changes. My daughter was so happy to be there and still is till this day. She gets so excited when I tell her she is going to Mrs. Dawna's house. The way she has it set up is like a home away from home. I absolutely recommend this daycare to anyone wanting a family friendly environment. Dawna is wonderful with our granddaughter. Our granddaughter loves Dawna and her helper Jennifer. She has learned so much from her time at Massey's Daycare. Willow is excited to go to Miss Dawna's home every day. Every morning Dawna is ready to engage Willow with a smile and a warm greeting. Dawna has provided a fun family environment for all the children at her daycare. Her home is very inviting, warm and kid friendly. It is always clean and well organized. The children are always happy and well behaved. I know that Dawna loves working with children and she's really good at her job. I trust Dawna and highly recommend her childcare to anyone. read more

This is one of the best daycares around, they have my granddaughters everyday and do an excellent job, my girls come home happy everyday.

If I could give zero stars, I would! Dawna is ONLY about the money! She is so fake to the parents, every single one of them. In 2023, she was told by licensing if she gets one more complaint, they were going to take her license away. That was due to multiple complaints. I worked for Dawna for about a year and 5 months. During that year, she was extra careful not to get another complaint. As soon as her year was up, she went back to her old self again....very narcissistic. On many, many, occasions, I would try and talk to Dawna about issues that took place while she was gone and she would always interrupt me and of course, divert the conversation back to her or what was going on with her at that time. Again, she is about her and her money. Licensing also told her she had to be home 80% of the time. She was only physically present when I was leaving to go home. That's 4 hrs out of 10 1/2 hrs a day, which is about 40% of the time, not 80%. I've left several comments and they have all been deleted. She begs parents to leave a good review for her and that's only a couple 5 star reviews. The other 5 star reviews are family members and friends who left fraudulent messages in hopes to raise her points/stars. I would show up at 8:30am to work. Almost everyday, there were infants (under 2) in the "baby room" screaming and crying. Prior to me showing up at 8:30am, if the children got dropped off and were crying, she would place them in the "baby room" to cry. I know this took place cause Dawna would tell me. I would get them out of there right away. Her prior employees know how she is as well. Please, if you take your child to Dawna, just be careful and do random drop ins. She hates that, but do it for your child(ren). The children also take 3 hour naps, which seemed too long to me. They nap from 12:00 noon to 3:00pm. Maybe Dawna is more careful now, but I doubt that. If you are searching for a daycare, don't choose this one. If you have chose Dawna and are currently there, be careful. read more

I would NOT recommend this daycare to anyone. My son went to this daycare for about a year and we had the WORST experience ever! I beat myself up knowing I trusted this woman with my child and the way she treated him. I hope no one ever experiences what the kids at this daycare had to endure. There is a reason her facility is "Temporarily" closed and on pause, read her reviews and research her license. Ask REAL parents and around town about Dawna for yourself. The positive reviews are her family member and people she pays, not REAL parents! I took my daughter to Massey daycare for 5 years. She was well taken care of, loved by the Massey family. Dawna was flexible and extremely kind to me and my daughter when I was a single parent and struggling to get back on my feet. She took exceptional care of my daughter who is now a teenager and still remembers having so much fun at her daycare. I highly recommend Massey Daycare. Dawna is the sweetest lady ever, and her setup is so open, clean, and educational! We've had multiple years of experience with her and her husband, and our kids love her dearly. Both kids are happy to be dropped off, and are happily playing during pickup. Dawna is loving, responsible, kind, and has the biggest heart ever.
