Art and Steve have to be the greatest DJ duos to exist! Art and Steve went above and beyond to make our event unforgettable. In our meetings leading up to the wedding, Art was very supportive and responsive. He was accommodating to our bilingual party and understood exactly what kind of music both sides of our families preferred and what we preferred just from getting to know us. He also allowed us to give him a sample spotify playlist to show the genres and overall atmosphere we like in a dance floor. His experience showed with his seamless navigation through our bilingual party--no awkward transitions, just a smooth flow. Our dance floor was NEVER empty! He kept us and the entire party going all night without any hiccups. Our timeline was a little behind, and he quickly knew how to catch us up by offering small "pivots" to our agenda to save SO much time! He comfortably handled all movements and directions needed for our guests to go from ceremony to reception and kicking off things like speeches, entrances, bouquet toss, and others without abruptly changing the party's atmosphere. One thing that makes Art stand out from most vendors is 100% his personality. He is so easy going that he made everyone he talked to feel comfortable and happy to be there. He also worked very well with our vendors and demonstrated amazing team work with the photographer, officiant, and venue staff (which reduced significant amounts of stress/tension on the day of the wedding!). In regard to the extras he brings, the lighting was amazing. It really gave the venue more life during the reception. His lights even synchronized with the groomsmen's surprise dance without requiring any effort from us. The sparklers were amazing during our entrance and first dance. The photo booth came with a scrapbook, printed and digital copies, which was a total hit with our guests. The photo booth operator Pedro was fun and supportive of all photo requests, and the props were plentiful. We also had love letters lit up during the cocktail hour which was a nice touch. Also, during the ceremony, the groom was given a lapel, which allowed for a hands-free ceremony. The sound was clear, and the audience was able to hear every word. In short, we are unbelievably blown away by all the effort Art incorporated into our wedding. It is truly evident that he puts his full heart into what he does, and we couldn't be more grateful for every detailed effort he put forth for our wedding. The best advice I got in regards to planning a wedding was DO NOT SKIMP ON A DJ! And that is the truth. From the very beginning Art and Janelle listened to everything we wanted for our wedding. Since I've never been married I wasn't sure what questions to ask or what I had to look out for. Art was not just a dj during the planning process, he was like a guide... a wedding guru if you will. Music: We had playlists and specific songs we wanted and he worked hard on making a playlist for us. Our dance floor at the reception was crowded at all times. He does not treat his job like a "gig" he treats it like his own family's wedding. Organization: We got married at the Queen Mary. I did the walk with a coordinator on where he loads in his equipment and it was not easy. But him and Janelle did it and were ready 100% for us. We did not get a day of coordinator because that was an expense we didn't think we needed. As time got closer I started to doubt our timeline for the night. This is where Art & Janelle stepped in. They created a timeline that made the night run so smooth. I even printed out the timeline & handed it out to my wedding party and photographers who were impressed. Professionalism: Janelle made sure we were taken care if the whole night and went over all the plans right before we walked in the reception room. She made sure we were ready for all the events taking place according to the timeline. I feel her and Art did a better job than any coordinator would have done.
