I had an object hit my windshield while on the road. I reached out and connected with Safelite through my insurance, which instantly said that they would be able to replace the windshield at no cost to me. I checked on line and made an appointment for Friday, August 21st- the only available option was to do a 'Drop and Go'. All communications said bring your car in by 9:30AM. I dropped my vehicle off at 8:30am. Initially, I asked how long it would take, the woman working the desk said '3 hours'. The man says 'don't give her a time'. I leave my vehicle with the understanding that the car would be available before 5pm when the shop closes. I was told I'd get a message when it's ready. I called the listed number for the West Palm Beach location and speak to 3 different automated voice prompts before reaching the main customer service at the national level who says let me try and call the store. This was at 4:00pm, Naomi, the representative says they may or may not be done by 5pm. I take a ride-share over and my car at 4:54 is parked exactly where it was at 8:30 this morning. The woman at the front desk is repeating everything I say, with no additional detail. It's 5:12pm and my car has just been taken into the back for service. Expected work time: 2 hours. Very disappointing experience with Safelite. Safelite installed/repaired glass on my vehicle, and during the installation the rear-view mirror came off. I then had multiple follow-up appointments where the issue was still not properly fixed. One technician came out without the replacement glass and only re-glued the mirror, even though the repair did not appear sufficient. The mirror failed again the same day. Another technician came out and again did not have the replacement glass needed to complete the repair. A later appointment was scheduled, but the technician never showed up. After speaking with a supervisor and giving Safelite another opportunity to correct the problem, Safelite refused to complete the repair. At this point, I have been left with a defective repair, wasted appointments, and additional expenses. I expected Safelite to stand behind its work and warranty, but that has not been my experience. read more

Yet another business where it's impossible to actually call the store directly. After scheduling an appointment online, showing up on time, and generally doing exactly as we're supposed to as the customer, these guys proved to be 100% incompetent. Didn't have the right glass to match the trim level and were not able to do the job, requiring us to make arrangements to come get the car and bring it back another day. If they have the year/make/model and the VIN, how is it possible to not have the right trim level and glass?? Ok, so there was zero follow up after that incident. The shop was supposed to call when they had the correct glass in so we can reschedule. Never heard anything from them. My windshield cracked so I had safelite come out to replace it on June 11. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The technician had an attitude from the time he called to tell me my appointment was next to when he finished. It was at the end of the day and he sounded like he didn't want to be there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When he finished, he handed me the keys and left. I noticed grayish blackish crusty stuff dried up around the outside of the windshield on the body and inside on the dash. There was also a fresh paint chip up on the A pillar. Looked like they just half assed the job and left without cleaning up and didn't point out the damage they did.. I called my guy at the car dealership and he told me how windshield guys hit that area and chip paint pretty often but to just report it and have them touch it up. I called safelite to report it and they told me to bring the truck in for "warranty" claims. I told them that I shouldn't be inconvenienced because of their mistake and that they should come to me. They agreed and sent someone out to document the damage. The guy took pictures and asked a few questions about the damage. He started to question if the damage was there before and I showed him how the truck is perfect and the impact areas of my truck have ppf and this is on the inside edge of the a pillar almost 7 feet in the air in a place that is never touched unless of course you are replacing the windshield 2 inches away.. I pointed the 3 security cameras in the front of my house including the one directly above my driveway where the windshield was replaced. The guy didn't look at the video but told me that the shop will review the pictures and his report and will reach out to me. This was on the 17th. Over 2 weeks ago. I had my windshield replacement April 3rd. I went back April 4th because I noticed the technician broke the board underneath the roofing carpet that separates roof from top of windshield. I was toldci will receive a call about fixing the issue and they haven't and it seems like the are trying to dodge me. I made an appointment after the windshield was hit by a rock from a dump truck . At first they told me it would be 930$ to fix . I called my insurance company as I live in Florida and under law the insurance company is responsible for the deductible. The insurance company called the Safelite location while I was on the phone ( 3 way conversation) and confirmed there was no charge to us . Once that was completed which was a unnecessary call as they are a Florida business everything went smoothly. I believe this was there way of guaranteeing payment for the services. I showed up at 8:50 for my 9 am appointment. They had a very nice lobby and seating for 15 ppl . They received me within minutes of arriving and processed the car . At 9am I saw my car being backed in a stall and work began. They were meticulous layer mats on the hood and fenders so not to scratch the car . The work are was very clean and structured. They removed the glass in less than 20 minutes. And cleaned the area prepping it for the new glass . The entire time was well under what they gave in estimate 3 hours . They recalibrated the sensors and installed the new windshield and was handing me the keys in about a 1:40 minutes out the door . I will definitely do bust with them again if needed . They are a very well fun shop . And there employees care and treat your vehicle as if it was their own . Well done Safelite !! read more

We got lied to. Will never be back. Dropped off car. Called back around the estimated time. The outsourced call center agent, who is located 1000+ miles away, let us know the car was almost ready and that we should head over. When we arrived, the employees said it hasnt even been started. They gaslit us, saying "are you sure you referenced the right car?" On the phone we were asked for the phone number, name, make, model, and year of the car. Yes - I'm sure. The employee said "If the technician drops everything right now, and devotes all his time to your car, it will be done in about an hour". We said ok and went back home. 20 minutes later, right when we walked in our door at home, we got a call that the car is done. Time to turn around and drive all the way back. The technician worked on the vehicle over 8 hours in our garage, the entire time leaving all the car doors and interior lights on . I went to SafeLite to have my windshield replaced. I left without any safety features calibrated. The camera assembly was damaged. Safelite refused to accept any responsibility, and it cost my $4000 to have a dealership replace the assembly. Then 2 months later they sent me an alert that I needed to have the calibration completed for safety reasons. I had a very good experience at this location, after a stone hit my window on I-95 I had no problem getting an appointment for the next day to have it fixed, everything went smoothly, windshield was put in, calibrated, and I had my car back within 3 hours, the tech had taken my SunPass and other decals on my old windshield and transferred them to the new windshield, it couldn't have been easier, thank you Safelite for making it so easy and a pleasure to do business with you, I would def recommend, the only downside is their parking lot is so tight and it's hard to find a place to park. read more

TERRIBLE. Made appointment for tech to come out. He came out, a part was left on my dashboard because it didn't fit. He told ME I had to call the office and tell them. He also left two rubber pieces sticking up when he left. I called office, they said they would need to order part and then schedule time to come by. A week goes by. I call again, the national talks to local - they will call me back by Tuesday. No call. I call back, again the LOCAL number goes to national with a terrible phone tree that doesn't allow customer service - then hung up on me. Visited WPB, FL location today, as it was the only one within 15 miles that was available to replace my windshield promptly. I arrived as instructed 10 minutes early but waited 10 minutes for someone to wait on me. Then my car sat in the parking lot until it was put into the service bay 45 minutes later. It took about 2 hours to do the install. I was told that mobile service, where Safelite comes to you was not available for my vehicle. I guess the TV ads making it seem so easy to have service performed are only for the Hollywood crowd. The person working on my vehicle was a nice person, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. The car was returned clean without damage. The waiting area was pleasant, and they did offer free wi-fi and snacks to help pass the time. read more
