I never write reviews but this was horrible. I went in just for a simple shave, I've still got hair on my face, my neck is covered in cuts , that was hands down the worst experience I've ever had. Also the vibe was extremely weird walking in, no one greets you. Even the clippers and materials are super cheap and feel horrible on your face. I know it's rare for a woman to be a customer at the barber shop but I've recently had a buzz cut at home and am trying to grow out my hair. In the meantime, I needed to get a fade on the side and back of my head so my top can grow. I'm nervous going to a barber shop for a few reasons. I've read online reviews at this place and my husband also comes here every month. There's about 6 or 7 guys who works here and they are always packed with customers. Generally, I'm told most of the barbers here are really good with the clips but my husband did tell me that Dilson seems to have the most customers returning back and requesting his service. I've decided to request Dilson. I told him what I wanted and he did just that and at each stage, he's telling me what he will do and stopped to ask if I wanted him to do other shavings and shape ups. Long story short, I got what I wanted and he made me felt very comfortable. I will definitely come back and will seek for him again. The parking here is really tight and limited. The shop is small. When you come inside, you are to select your barber on a computer screen. If you don't care who to serve you, you can select whoever is next available. Once you enter your selection, you get a printed receipt with a number so you can wait to be called for your turn. I came here on a Wednesday afternoon and they were busy so I can just imagine the number of customers coming here over the weekend. If you can come during the weekdays, I highly recommend. read more

This is the kind of barber shop I like - packed with tons of young barbers who really seem to enjoy what they're doing. I wish I had discovered this business sooner, as I had been getting haircuts from haircut chains that employed middle-aged women who didn't know how to cut my thick, straight Asian hair. These guys are versed in all the most recent styles and really take their time to make every haircut a masterpiece: you should budget 10-20 minutes for the wait (first-come, first serve) and another half hour for the actual haircut. Every haircut is finished with a straight razor shave at the back of the neck. My only complaint is the parking lot, which only has about 10 parking spaces, and is shared with a run-down laundromat and an Indian restaurant. A brick wall obscures most of the parking lot from Rt. 27, creating a horrible blindspot for cars entering and exiting, and there's almost no space for two-way traffic. Also, the advertised "free wi-fi" has been non-existent during my last three visits. All things considered, other customers and I keep coming back because of the consistently high quality of service. Spare $15+tip and an hour of your time to see what you and your hair have been missing. read more

I know trying to find a new barber shop can be intimidating, but you can NOT go wrong with this shop! My 3 boys have their own barbers they go to when they come in. Ricki, Dilson, and Miguel. I personally have 2 that I go to Wellington and Joey. My experience with them has been great. They pay attention to detail and take their time making sure you're getting the hairstyle that you want. They're always up to date with the latest styles. They'll always make you feel confident and looking fresh and clean every time you walk out of the shop! Everybody signs up on the list but every barber who goes up to the list looks completely confused. When they call out a name sometimes they don't call it out correctly or loud enough for the customers in the back to to hear their name and then they blame you for not listening. You have a large number of Barbers which is good and you think that there is no waiting but when they are on their phone half the time it takes them more time to do haircuts. Also just because I look white and have a white first name does not mean that I don't know what you're saying in Spanish. I am half Latino. I just moved to the area and needed to find a new barber to cut my hair. I think I found the place at master clips. Its located off of state route 27 in Edison with some other shops. The parking area is pretty tight, but it at least it does have parking. You don't need an appointment but just expect to wait a little. I came here on a Friday afternoon and waited about 10 minutes and two people were in front of me. The barber took his time cutting my hair to make sure it looked great. I was in the chair for about an hour and he used the clippers, scissors, and straight blade. I usually request for the zero high fade and sometimes its hit or miss with some places. Overall, it was a decent cut and was not overpriced at all. I will definitely return in the future. read more

I got my haircut from Joey aka "the youngest barber in Edison" and it was the best service from a barbershop in a while. They take your time in cutting your hair and have competitive rates for haircuts. I believe its 13 bucks compared to other barbers in the area who charge 15+. But after my very first cut I left knowing I was coming back. Made an appointment with Dioni a month or so later and have been back every month since. $12 and they take their time to do it right, extremely detailed. Dilson rocks. I have tough hair to cut with lots of cowlicks but this guy is amazing. I have not tried anyone else here, he was the first person I tried in the shop so haven't had the need to try anyone else. The place is quaint and clean with a dozen barbers and they crank out customers, thank God, because the line would be ridiculous. Having ESPN on helps Keep boredom away. They don't crank out people just for the sake of it but 30 mins is usually enough. Oh and they're extremely cost effective. I drive 30 minutes to go here so it's well worth it. Wonderful barbershop people, "Fresh man Fresh." I travel a great distance to this place for my haircut. The staff is very friendly and polite. Miguel, the barber, is at top of his game. I strongly recommend him if you decide to visit. The place gets really packed during the usual busy hours, after work and weekends. In the past I've payed over $50 bucks for a haircut and they were not even half as good as these guys who charge only $15, SO TIP THEM WELL, MINIMUM $5! They should post senior discount or offer/ask one when they see an old guy; they charged me the full rate. Place needs to have more cleaning done. Decor also needs some improvement. Awesome place. Came in here with my little brother because our usual barber was having time issues. We ended up loving it! And it was $2 cheaper here than at our much smaller barber for a kid's cut. Although they are raising their prices here come September 1st, I'm still going to come back here though.
