I qualifed for special discount of 2000 and later car model. Star smog for about $38 ($8 for CA DMV fee). Very nice. Test about 15 min for the first time. Did not pass OBD2 monitor test the first time, he teach me what to do, and let me come back to test a 2nd time for free. I did it in the same day. (You can always tell, he actually want you to pass the first time. It is my fault that I did not drive my car for longer time; I should have known that after month of collecting dust, my car need to be driven for longer the expected before the test.) Also, Before he run the test for a 2nd time, he did a small check for me to make sure I drove enough for OBD 2 monitor check. 2nd time also take about 15 min (probably because he have to check the whole thing again, not just the failed item). The person who perform the test is very nice. Overall, pretty good experience. read more

If you want to do the yelp price be sure to tell them 1st thing and don't expect them to tell you of that deal. Also, if your car doesn't pass the first time let me be the first to tell you that you only have 14 days to come back without paying another fee. It's actually 30 days your info stays in their system but they didn't tell me of this the first day I was here when I paid the fee when my car did not pass. Paying over $70 for a smog is ridiculous that they don't even honor a free retest especially since I wasn't aware of this 14 day limit to get repairs done kinda was a bummer better communication would've been nice. read more

I got my smog check here on a Saturday, early afternoon. We were expecting a possible wait, but were delighted that the car was serviced right away. The place isn't very appealing to the eye, but that's expected for an automotive center. We waited in the air-conditioned lobby and were in and out in less than 15 minutes. Awesome!! Found this place on Yelp, they were super close to where I happen to live and all the reviewers mentioned how great Eddie was and they were right! I called this morning and spoke with him about bringing my car in for a smog check, he was very friendly from the start. Didn't need to make an appointment and was even able to bring my car in the same day. He helped in giving me some directions as its tucked into a little shopping center filled with other car places and his directions helped me find it super easily. He said it would take about 15 minutes and that's exactly how long it took total time from getting there to leaving. Super easy, quick and he even found a recall on my car, had the info printed onto the invoice he gave me and let me know about it.
