Worst experience I've ever had with electronic repair services. Horrible communication, owners do not diagnos your parts when they say they will, and even claimed when I came to get my unrepaired item back, they didnt know where it was and I would have to come back weeks later just to get my item back. 2 weeks after I originally dropped off my item, and many unanswered phonecalls, they finally answered, and asked me if I had a DVI to HDMI cord so they could actually do a diagnosis that they never did. I understand that some businesses may or may not have parts they need, but I find strange that not only they asked me for the part, but the fact that a electronic repair biz like this doesnt have basic stuff like input cords for electronic displays for something simple like a diagnosis. Something else I found frustrating is that they are often closed during their listed operation hours, and after constantly going back and forth to their store, it took yet again, another series of eventually answered phonecalls, they finally answered to call in at a certain time to let the owner know to open the store! To be fair, its an independent business and I understand these owners have to run around a bit to do their job, but they definitely should consider either removing their biz hours or just straight up make their services on call, or anything to make their service a bit more reliable. 2 stars only because I eventually got my stuff back, and got a refund for my never recieved diagnosis. Took only a month and a series of eventually answered phone calls. I hate leaving bad reviews but I went to Master Tech to get my light fixed for my photography work. This was the nearest repair shop from where I live, which was 45 minutes away. I mentioned I needed it in a week for work ,and he said that he will let me know before then to ensure I will have it for my job. He never called me back ,and I wasn't able to use it for my gig.     I called him the following week and asked for an update , and he said he would call me back in "15 minutes" and he never did. I called a few days later and the same thing happened, he said he would call me back but he never did.     4 WEEKS LATER, I ended up just going back to pick up the light without getting it fixed. I also lost money because I wasn't able to use the light for my photography gig. He was very nice, but the customer service was unprofessional. read more

This place is a JOKE! My little brother and I both needed our computers repaired. We took it here because it was closest to my mom's house. He had a Mac Book Pro old 2015 and I had a Mac Book Air 2018 in black. My brother's computer got fixed within two weeks. GREAT. I asked him what was going on with my computer and he said they were still working on it. That they were trying to look for the part they needed but it was really difficult because it was a new computer, so they wanted to find me a refurbished one to give me a low price. Made sense. Months and months went by, and they kept saying the same thing. One day he calls and lets me know that its ready and it was going to be $600. I was like cool I'm on my way. When I get there, and he hand me the computer IT WASNT MY COMPUTER! It was a way older model and not even close to what I gave him! He said there was a mix-up and had to speak to his tech. Okay whatever let it go but I did get a bit upset. Almost 1 hear and a half later and at this point I was really upset and just wanted my computer back even if it wasn't fixed. They said OK come so we can negotiate. I went thinking they had my computer ready to just pick up. This time I didn't go alone. I took my Boyfriend with me. I was so mad because 1st of all they didn't have my computer and 2nd they still wanted me to pay something. My Boyfriend decided to handle it and gave them another chance. One week later they said they would have it ready, so my BF goes, and THEY TRIED TO GIVE HIM A DIFFERNT COMPUTER AGAIN!!!! NOW WE WERE BOTH PISSED!! My BF still gave them a 3rd chance to give me back my computer. One week later we went back and yes it was the same model but definitely not my computer. This one was all scratched up and it has a big circle mark on the side. I took the computer because it looked like its working but I'm suing them for it. I have all the msgs from them & a video where he clearly admitted he doesn't know what happened to my computer. He admitted to losing it and he had to but another one which was all busted. The shop is closed now but they claim it's for health reason which I'm sure is BS. This is my theory... I think they saw a great opportunity to make more money and they fixed my computer and sold it because at that time it was probably worth 1,500. This place was a joke. IF you could get ahold of anyoneanyone at all, he was never there. Had my DVD player for 2 weeks and all they did was print out a Spec sheet off the internet and give that to me. Kept insisting that it was my fault and thst I was using the wrong DVD's, even AFTER I showed him that I could record on the DVD+R ones that he kept saying was impossible to record on. I had my Samsung TV go out on me. I called Master Tech they came by picked it up within 1:30 of calling. I got my TV back the next day. Good as new. Mr Lopez knows his stuff, he was friendly and charged me which I think was a fair price. Great customer service. I will definitely use him again and refer him to my friends and family. read more

I took my 4K LG TV to get fixed because the backlight strips went out. He charged me $185 to get it fixed. When I picked up my TV, he apparently lost the TV cord, so he gave me a generic one. After three weeks, the TV had the same problem, so I took it back because it was under the 90-day warranty. This time around, it took him over two months. Every time I called to get an update, he had an excuse. Finally, he tells me that he can fix it, but it's not covered under warranty. He offered me a 55" LG TV in exchange for the parts of my TV. I asked him only if it's the same kind of TV: 4K and smart TV. He assured me the TV was equipped with what I requested. I get home to find out that it's not. This dude pulled a fast one on me. He was dishonest. I will guess that he fixed my 4K smart TV and kept it while giving me a bullshit TV. Beware, people! I went to this dude to support small Raza businesses, but sometimes they don't appreciate it. read more

We just had a horrible experience with my little brothers PS4. They kept promising they would fix it tomorrow, then tomorrow again, then tomorrow again... it dragged and dragged on. If you're a business and you tell me it will be ready on a certain day then I'd like it ready on that day. It was never ready on the day they would promise. Then I believe the owners wife , was extremely rude and blamed my brother for breaking it. Just didn't have a professional experience. I took in two TVs. Immediately I was told by Joaquin that he would call me in the next two-three days to tell me what was wrong with the TVs. I waited a whole week before I called him to see if he had an update. He responded that he was not in the shop and that he would call me once he got to the shop. He never called me back. I let another 2 weeks go and when I called again, he tried to say he had not touch the TVs because I didn't take the remote to one of the TVs . When he clearly told me he would use an LG remote from another customer. Long story short, Joaquin had my TVs for 6 weeks and he did not do anything to the TVs. When I went to pick them up, he brought them to me and with a surprised voice he said "there's no estimate on the order form?!". I told him I know!!! There's no estimate because you never called me. When i was loading my TVs to the car I noticed one of the TVs didn't have the power cable. I went back to ask for my power cable and he said I didn't bring one which was a lie. Who in their right mind will take a TV without a power cable? He look at the order form and said it doesn't say you brought a power cable. He randomly gave me a cable and he said " see if this cable fits" and it did and I left. Joaquin is unprofessional, unorganized, and I do not recommend you take your TVs to him. Master tech was able to let us drop off a tv for repair after the store was closed since he was still there. They figured out it was the power supply and was able to fix it quickly on the following work day and priced lower than another location I had gone to first. They noticed that it had some missing screws and fixed that also. I would come back to them again in the future. Thank you Master Tech. read more

I thought this tv shop was ok. But i see that this shop is unorganized the first Time i put my 65 inch tv in he's shop it was on the floor and he cracked my screen. But he replaced it with the same tv and i felt that he fixed the problem even after having the tv for 6 months. But after i choose to still give him one more chance with my business. But i have not yet to receive my 5,000 Ultra 55 Samsung curved TV from him he had me pay 25 dollars to check to see what's was going on with it. He told me it was my led back lights and it would be 575 to fix it that was not a problem for me. But once covid 19 hit and i went to pick up the tv are to even get a up date. He claimed that my tv was in the storage and why i wait so long to check the my tv when he's store was clearly closed for a long time cause covid when i was calling the shop it was saying that store was Temporarily close and i was not even getting answer from them. I brought my television in for repair 11 days ago and was told I would know by end of the day; what was wrong. After 5 or so days of calling each day and not getting called back I got a reasonable quote for repair and today was told it was complete. I came straight from work and when I got to the store I was told they only accept cash... Yelp states they accept credit cards and at no point was I told it would be a cash only transaction. This put me in a lurch because in this era no one reasonably carries a couple hundred dollars in cash. End of the day and I had to hurriedly go to two local ATMs to get the cash because of dispensing limits. I'm happy with the price and quality of repair, but the customer service here is considerably lacking. So keep this in mind if you choose to do business. read more

My favorite laptop in the world broke down. Was under warranty and dell didn't want to repair it because I dropped it on the floor and damaged the chasis. It was bad manufacturing and engineering from dell that caused my problem. My neighbor is a very good computer technician so I thought he could fix my laptop so I let him take my laptop. It took him forever to find out what was the problem. He said it was the bios, which is located somewhere in the motherboard and he told me to take it to someone with soldering skills to fix. SO, because I live in Downey, I went to the "Master Tech". It wasn't the bios, the Master Tech found out the problem quickly and said it was the hard drive and the motherboard. He took care of all my problem and charged me less than Dell wanted to charge me by $150.00. I wrote this review with my REPAIRED laptop. Happy as I can be. Definitely recommend. Yelped this spot because I messed up my iPod dock. This is a family business so at first I thought negative, but on the contrary this spot ended up being real good. He charged me $40 to fix when other locations were charging me to view my dock then an additional fee. I highly recommend this tech and will be going back if necessary. read more

Fixed my GPS's connector. GPS works now and gets a charge from the car adaptor. The connector is a little loose but it's an old GPS and I feel like he did a great job. I don't know where to start.... needs to work on customer service, timeliness and time management......a bit frustrated with Joaquin. I called him Monday and explained briefly on what my issue was with my tv. He sounded very knowledgeable and rattled off a few problems it could be. He was anxious to come over and diagnose it(charged me 45.00 for pick up and diagnosis). We set up an appointment for Tuesday at 0830, he showed up at 0845 (strike 1). Wednesday, texted him to ask how it was going. He finally responded but said, what wrong with your tv, it works just fine. He let me know it could be my home outlets that maybe faulty. So, I asked him to bring it back today and he said sure, let me test it a few more times before I ring it back. We scheduled a time for 430 that day to bring it back(let me know it was another 45.00 charge to bring it back to my house...really, never said that when you picked it up). At 430 that day, he called me and said the tv was acting up and asked if he could diagnose it again (strike 2, left work early to meet him and then he cancelled saying there are problems). So of course, I have no option but to get him to check it. I asked him to let me know the diagnosis and price once he figured it out. Mind you, I called him before he would call me. On Thursday, he said he found out the problem and ordered the part. And it would be ready Friday. I said fine but please work with me on returning the tv because I have left work twice to meet with him and he was late, and he said he would deliver when I was home. I texted him Friday morning, and he said he received the part and fixing it now. I said I would be home at 530, 6 at the latest. He said he was closed by then, even though his hours is until 7 ( strike 2.5). But said, he would come by at that time. When I got home, I texted him at 630 to let him know I was home. He changed the time to 7, he didn't show up at 7 and I had to text him again. He said by 8, didn't show up again. I texted him again and he said he was in his way. 50 mins later, he showed up to my house..... strike 3! He didn't charge me the $45.00 for bringing it back, but charged me the shipping and handling for the part.... TV works but, I won't ever call him again for his service or refer him to anybody. So..... 1 month later and my TV does not work again...so, I paid for him to fix it and it is inoperative in literally a month. Glad I called him to fix my TV...... NOT!!!!! I would never refer anybody to this company. Thanks for your response Joaquin.... 1 month later.... Took my receiver to get repaired. They told me it would take two days. After a week they told me it would take another day. After 2 weeks they told me they were still looking for a part and would call me. After 3 weeks I called and they told me the replacement part would be too much. I picked it up and they charged me $10. Im assuming $10 was the fee to look for a part because nothing was done to the receiver. I wouldnt mind paying but i thought it was a free estimate plus they never gave me a receipt after I paid. read more

At first I was iffy on whether this place could fix my laptop. My screen was black and it seemed to be a software problem but he fixed it well and I was very satisfied! This place fixed my digital remote control for my Bose Lifestyle stereo ($3500) I originally called Bose and they told me that they did not do repairs for this remote and they didn't sell replacements. Basically they wanted me to upgrade and purchase an new system. There was nothing wrong with my system just the remote didn't work. I called multiple repair shops and no one wanted to even look at it. This shop told me that I would be a $10 charge for diagnosing it and if he could fix it, it would be $35. I first went to this shop 9/23/14. My Dell laptop's screen wasn't working and at first i went to best buy for a quote and check up they said it would be $300 just to ship it to their repair center and then more if they needed to do any work- now i was at the time only a sophomore in college at the time and very strapped on cash, the guy at best buy said i would have better luck with a mom and pop shop. After a quick search on google i found this spot was local went in for a quote explained the situation and Joaquin was able to tell the LED light was off he ordered the parts ect. all in all saved my self 200+ dollars and am confident this man knows what he is doing. second experience was February of this year 2017. I spilled a bit of coffee on my mac laptop anyone who knows apple can attest that warranty doesn't cover it. I let my laptop air out for a week before i turned it back on and got lucky everything seemed to be working, after googling if it was fully functional i got several threads saying to open it up and clean it from the inside since my coffee had sugar it could fry the internal circuits(or something o.0). since i had a positive experience the first time i figured i would go back. When i went to Joaquin the second time after pulling out my laptop he informed me he didn't have the tools necessary to operate on a mac computer and referred me to another repair man. I felt after this interaction he needed a five star rating not many owners will turn away business too many are willing to take a sale they know they cannot fulfill and by turning me away i felt how much this man cares about his customers and the quality of his work (something rare in today's society) read more

We called about our tv on Friday morning and Joaquin was there by 2 that day. He was very friendly when he arrived and ran some diagnostic tests (our tv was turning off and on on its own as if it was possessed). He told us he was pretty sure it was one of two things and told us the price of each of those-which I found helpful. He also told us how much his labor would cost. We agreed we wanted it fixed and him and my husband hauled the 64" plasma out of the house and into his truck. It's 8 tonight (Saturday) and our tv is back in our living room working! A little over 24 hrs and the weekend of Super Bowl! The price was very reasonable as well...much better than having to spend $1600 on a new TV. So awesome! I own a Windows 7 mini tower and one of my hard drives (D drive) started to fail, followed by the hard drive controller acting weird, to the point where I couldn't even boot up Windows anymore, even from the C drive. I spent 3 days trying to reformat the C drive and reinstall Windows but nothing worked. So I brought my computer to Mr. Joaquin, and after 5 days, he and his crew were able to revive the computer and reinstall Windows. They discovered that the D drive couldn't be recovered but the C drive was fine. They replaced the broken D drive with an IDENTICAL drive (Western Digital blue, good quality), which made me very happy because it saves me the trouble of doing it myself. They also updated the hard drive controller software driver, which may have been part of the trouble. They charged what I consider a good price, especially since they didn't cut corners on the replacement drive. When I got my machine back, it ran like it did when I first got it 5 years ago, and all I had to do was reinstall my other programs. What I appreciated the most is they fixed only what needed to be fixed, and no more than that. I've only had this one experience with them, but so far so good! read more
