They did a wonderful job then, and those paintings are still hanging in my home. Last week, I took a few more things in for framing. I was framing pieces my youngest daughter had done as well as a print she had given me. I was blown away. First of all, Megs is a pro. He took time with me to help me find reasonably priced frames and helped me trim down cost when we could since the art was more "sentimental " than valuable without compromising quality. I picked up my pieces and they were beautiful. He floated two little drawings and trimmed a print and framed it. So many details! Hangers in the back with everything attached so I could easily display it on my wall. The prints were framed beautifully and are clearly professionally done. But what really blew me away was the detail on the back of my print that displayed the artists name and work. I couldn't believe it. (See photo below). My daughter bought the print for me at the Christmas Village in Philly from a local artist. This was completely unexpected, but so lovely! This work and these details go above and beyond. So happy with this place. This type of personal attention doesn't really show up so much anymore. So thankful to Megs and American Picture Framing. I'm pretty sure they have lots of experience with students coming through to buy boatloads of supplies, so he can feel out what level of quality and price is most worth it. The cashier people are very friendly, very familiar. You feel like they're fellow artists just like you and everyone does their best to make sure you have the best supplies for your projects without trying to hustle money out of you by taking advantage of any lack of knowledge you might have. It's a lovely experience! Blick does tend to have more selection, but there's plenty to roam around in this store, and I never feel like I don't have more to choose from than I could ever really fathom at once.
