I took a chance on Master of Generators and Electrical Service and am happy that I did. I almost canceled because it was nearly 4 pm, and I hadn't heard from them since 2 pm. I wasn't confident Christian could finish the work before dinner time. When I called to cancel, a professional lady offered to get Christian and Jeremy's ETA, which went well. They apologized for running behind schedule. However, I am not off the hook because I should have believed MGES when they stated that the electricians would "arrive between the hours of 12 pm and 4 pm," which I now know, in hindsight, they would have. Christian and Jeremy are fantastic electricians. They came through the door dripping with experience, confidence, and wonderful personalities. One worked on the hallway light fixture while the other tackled the dining room. When Christian put up the flush mount fixture for the hallway within 10 minutes, he joined Jeremy to help assemble a complex chandelier. That chandelier encompassed several bars to connect to eight lights. Despite my initial concerns, the task was completed in a remarkably short time, with the total service time being under an hour. Christian and Jeremy not only met but exceeded my expectations. Their service was impeccable, and the price I paid for such efficient and high-quality work was more than reasonable. The person performing the work was not properly licensed for the job, and I was told/learned that another person's license was being used. I felt misled and taken advantage of. I would not recommend this company. Before hiring them, customers should verify the actual license holder, confirm who will be doing the work, and confirm who is pulling the permit. We had a maintenance contract with GGP. The generator was 2 years old. The generator stopped…read moreworking after overheating. GGP assessed the damage as irreparable, requiring replacement at a cost of $5000. We asked them to see if the generator was still covered under the warranty, which they agreed to do. And we never heard back from them again. In the meantime, my husband did research and worked on the problem, fixing the generator for under $100. EDIT: My husband also posted a review on Google reviews, to which GGP replied, claiming that we were intentionally trying to replace a generator we damaged deceptively under warranty. To be clear, we wanted the one we have repaired. When we were told by the GGP representative that the generator could not be repaired, in agreement with GGP, we asked to see if the generator was covered by the warranty, with full disclosure of how the generator overheated. We never heard back from them and had to fix it ourselves for much less money.
